Meet Kevin Seldon, the host and creator of @DILFpodcast (Dad I'd Like to Friend), as he shares his journey and mission to create a more inclusive parenting culture. Through his non-profit, #AllParentsWelcome (APW), Kevin is dedicated to improving mental health resources for all non-birthing parents, including fathers, and parents through surrogacy, adoption, and within the LGBTQ+ community.
Currently, Kevin is focused on publishing a book that aims to debunk the top 10 myths surrounding new parenthood. This book offers insights on retaining a sense of self, strengthening relationships with partners, managing work-life balance, and finding joy amid the rollercoaster of parenting. Unfortunately, most publishers do not feel there’s a market for a book like this, so we need YOUR help to bring this book to life with 100% of net proceeds donated back to APW.

Many billionaires know this trick. If you were lucky enough to found a company that made you rich, never sell the stock. If you never sell it, you never have to pay income tax on it. Instead, go to banks and take out loans using the stock as collateral. It's cheaper to pay the interest on loans you never pay off rather than pay the income tax you owe.
Margin loans can be helpful to investors, too. In this example, we're focusing on explaining the benefits of donating appreciated assets like stock over cash to everyday investors, as we find that too few know the benefits. There is a good reason why billionaires like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Reed Hastings donate so much of their stock to charity. You can take a deduction against income tax and avoid capital gains taxes on the donated shares. Why would I not just donate my taxable income, write off donations, and enjoy long term capital gains taxes on the investment appreciation? I can donate to whomever I want, and I get the lower tax rate on the money I take home.
