Small vintage fret wire randy had that put on all his guitars
It’s not hair metal asshole
That term "hair metal" sounds so stupid!!!! I grew up in the 80's and the term has always been Heavy Metal! Seems like they're afraid to say it, Jesus!!!! Other than that, yeah that guitar is so iconic and it sounds great!!!
When the LEVEE BREAKS!!!
This guy has been my favorite player since the first Tin Machine album. His playing was revolutionary in the midst of that late-80’s butt-rock.
Absolutely Randy should be inducted,I believe he was the best ever !!!!
Rock Royalty these two guys
That guitar is worth millions
Worlds greatest beard
❤
'We get penalized for being good'. Ouch. Celebrity steamrolls art across all realms of endeavor. The capitalist system grinds the good out of everything in pursuit of the merely serviceable. The commodization effect. If you haven't turned it to sht, there's still surplus value lurking in the product like a good-bad smell that must be squeezed out. The euphemism is efficiency. Raise your hand if you like your music as you like your car's combustion engine: efficent. Sorry for veering ecomaniacal. I'll never forget what an old studio guy told me once: misery clings to tape i.e. trained ears can hear the fatigue in the sound when good musicians are asked to go over and over a piece of music in search of 'perfection', narrowly defined. It seems one of Dylan's insights was to capture the joy of spontaneity and discovery in the first take. Dylan's music is littered with the errors that only spontaneity can deliver. Listen to the ringing telephone at the end of Bowie's L-on-M. Exuberant error means 'we are human, we eff up, but we are alive'. Digital says 'I can do it better without you. But I keep you around 'cause someone needs to buy this sht.' Not that these two fellows are well-acquainted with bum notes. Sorry for the exposition. That quote really cut to my heart. Gd bless.
Waddy's story about Keith & Street Fighting Man is hilarious! So funny.
Ironic how a channel that extolles music can't record audio worth a shit.
What and why did the Gear Trader close in H.B ?
Great Video ! Thank You .
The bowtie inlays were taken from the fact that Randy used to always wear a bowtie with his stage outfits. Those outfits were made by his girlfriend.
not the original
I thought his brother and sister had that guitar? Didn't they? Was it donated?
I read somewhere a long time ago that the reason it was hard to keep in tune is because the neck was an off brand that didn't have a truss rod - on the phone...karl didn't deny that
take that.....Ace frehley ! 😂🤟😋
Randys bridge wasnt black so who is blowing smoke here
This has to be possibly the best sound quality i have ever heard on my humble ear pods.
Was he the brother of Glyn Johns, who worked with major 60s acts ?
Carl Sandovall engineering guitar, I got 3 made, 2 with floyd rose 1 just like Randys hanging on my wall of my 90 million Euro penthouse in Monaco, as it should.
I have bought one on 2012.
is that the actual Sandoval? the tremolo bridge looks black. i thought it was a chrome bridge.
Matt is the guy who catches all the messed up flaws every other tech leaves behind. He’s sweet, his techs are all kind, efficient and they give so,so much for your money..this is the guy who’s constantly mentioned on Rig Rundown, and he charges the same as a local music shop. For guitar and bass players, 30th street guitars is a NYC gem.
I had tickets in hand to see Ozzy and Randy on the Diary of a Madman tour in Columbus, Ohio when he died. I'm still crushed that he died and I was never able to see him play live. So tragic.
Karl S V is way better n cooler than a lame over priced Gibson
And of course, Reeves became the musical director for Tin Machine.
Good ol’ Andy. Used to have the best BBQ’s
Johnny, goat
He was only engineer...Jimmy Page produced all Led Zeppelin recordings...Andy Johns was excellent in his studio works on many recordings, but title is not correct
I absolutely agree!!! Let's make it happen people
These 2men prove that they get what music is ! Their musicality is in their D N A ' s . What these 2 gentlemen don't know about music ,you could write on the back of a postage stamp ! I could listen to them regale their experiences of life as musicians ,all day long .... You can't buy what these two men have lived through ,over the decades for love nor money ...
The guitar is a Carl Sandoval custom, the polka dots are Randys choice of finish,
Gibson 🤣
Jimmy being the thief he is, tried to steal Levee's sound too 🙄
Dumb@ss alert!
I have to say, this name the Immediate Family is quite lame especially in comparasion to the Wrecking Crew. In truth, the name the WC was made up after the fact, regardless of whatever Hal Blaine says.
Not as lame as your moronic post
These two gentlemen have quite a history. Well done.
Amazing how many people overlook the fact his child sex pornography because he knows how to play guitar. Fans are sick bastards.
this is not randys guitar the real one is with his family
The frets inlays are not bowties but an airplane propeller.
Это верно ...... думаю так и есть
Randy was known for wearing a bow tie on stage with QR They are bow tie inlays
Notice he said "Jimmy had this wonderful device called a Binson echorec"...This may have assisted the production of the drum sound along with the vast chasm of space in the stairwell and distant mic placement, so Jimmy may have been "down the pub" for a bit but he knew exactly what he was doing!
He use to do Hendrix like playing.
Ok clear the air here. First yes, this is THE Sandoval RR V. The Rhoads family allowed it go on display at the Rock hall during this time. It was not a permanent display. When he was inducted to the Rock hall last year, his White Jackson Concord, his studded black leather guitar strap, his pedal board and a set or two of his stage clothes and shoes were on display. For those saying this can't be the original guitar cause it has black hardware instead of the chrome.. It got changed to black during the Diary tour, there are plenty of photos to show that out there.
For just 2 records man he was good but hall of fame 🤔🤔🤔🤔
You have no idea what you’re talking about Clearly you’re not a guitar player Every famous guitar player from 1980 on has Cited Randy as an influence He was the first person to fuse classical with metal He was the most technically and musically gifted player at that time He did things no one had ever heard of let alone thought to do on the instrument You are a fool
This guy is an idiot. He didn’t play THAT instrument in QR.
Enjoying every John Mayer video I find on UA-cam is the best thing next to witnessing his genius in person! Thanks for all you create and do John! 💞😍💞
Randy should be in the rock n roll hall of fame long time ago . When i first hear him playing .
