My first 7 months of sim drifting I absolutely despised this track. I was not making it through the first corner😅 and when I did it was super sloppy . My whole drifting progress was probably a lot slower than others because I’m stubborn and wanted to learn drifting by purely trying different things and seeing what worked without seeing any tutorials. After learning how to drive all if not most of the VDC tracks on my own I love watching these videos and seeing how I can clean up my lead and get better in my chase. Awesome videos, keep up the good work👍🏽

isn't that phisical clutch bitepoint on the p1000 bother u for drifting? like when u modulate and stuff. and... do you set the virtual bitepoint to match the phisical one? i'm asking because i know the phisical one is almost at the end of the pedal throw, and on the pedal that i use i like to have the virtual bitepoint more at the begining of the throw.

It really was a near perfect event, from the organization to crowd management and off course the show. The only little downer was the wet track, but on the other side it was the right decision, because of the unpredictability of the weather around Europe around the time, I guess everyone saw the massive floodings. I don't think that Drifting in the wet will become the new Standard, it takes some of the spectacle away, but I see the point that it is a pro environment argument, and we will see what the future will bring. Whatever happens, we surely will be there again next year!

where to get the track

Was there. the atmosphere was truly amazing. The idea to wet the track on purpose to keep it rubber free was great but... BUT... This is the second year the final was organized on that stadium, which literally means they got over 2 years to come up with a ventilation solution for a closed stadium. I am no expert in this topic, but I was there - the stadium is not air thight with the roof closed. It's sides are open. Where I was sitting there was a massive draft. They said the smoke would suffocate people and trigger fire alarms yet the half-time show and ending prove this wrong since there was a ton o pyrotechnics and fireworks which led to a massive cloud of smoke. One thing that is interesting, that wasn't said on the livestream, that was said by our Polish announcer on the stadium - he literally said 'it's a new standard to drifting' (wetting the track on purpose). Which led me to think 'is it?'. the fact that there was no rubber laid on the track gave a lot of grip to the cars. there was no ice skating like in Long Beach this year. visibility was great, both for the spectators and the drivers, less tires were used and the whole field was very thight from the qualifying to the final. Only two mayor crashes in the top32. 'Dry' drifting on the other hand is wading more and more towards grip, speed, power and again grip, speed, power which is geting pretty ridiculous. One last thing - Shanahan is such a cry baby xD

Glad you enjoyed the show. Next time you should come (tickets already available), we had there also couple of VDM drivers as spectators, so you would be able to meet them face to face :-)

Formula drift have alot of strange rulings, a blind guy can see this. Playing favorite and not applying the same rules to all the drivers... I prefer Drift Masters where you have crazy nit pickying the drivers. Not only that... there are 60 drivers where most are capable to take top spot at qualifying. Most events its needed 90+ points to be in top 16. The judges are hard du to the fact that the skill in the drivers are that high.

Hey Brandon. My constant struggle is initiating into a close chase right from the first meters of the track pretty much on every track. Any tips on how to do that? I'm on reliable 4 meters or so after initiation as a chase driver, which is distance between my and leaders front bumpers as we start the rotation, which stays after we both initiate, but how do I dive in to be right on the door without going for the inner line?
