I think that Sony see no reason to replace any camera until sales drop. Why try to replace a camera if it's a strong seller?

I definitely think this is the sign that they wanna solidify the line up as they introduce an FX9 MK2 and possibly a fs7/5 replacement with an fx60/50. This way they can start to release the new hardware slowly. And keep the value of their lineup.

Please, a Sony FX9 MarkII or a mini-burano...

I am all for budget/Compact cinema cameras. I've seen idiots spending 20-25% of budget on cameras just to shoot with average actors. Sony and Canon C70 are just perfect for newbies.

I remember thinking I was cool when I bought Lowell lights and then I was on a set with Arri lights and felt the agony of gear jealousy.

I was going to buy a Sony F6MKII, but now it looks like I'm leaning to the Canon C80.

ok i was just gonna order this, now im confused. i saw another youtuber doing the test and he got pretty far away from the transmitter. i have 3 Hollyland Pyro H coming into atem mini extreme iso for mixing, but i was wondering what to get to transmit the HDMI Out to a big screen and this got my attention. Now the question is….will this thing work withing 3 Pyros and 500 phones in a same wedding space?….Hmm…

I use them constantly in Architectural Photography, not to trigger flashes but to trigger cameras simultaneously. Sometimes, in sunrising and sunsets, the light changes so fast I don't have the time to move around with only one camera. Having 2 or 3 cameras set in different places and focal lenses and all shot at the same time remotely with the pocketwizzards makes the process so efficient. Happy clients. ;)

This is an interesting setup! I use an EVF mount too because, like you, I prefer having the monitor on the left side. You should make another video showing how to put this setup together on other camera cages that don’t have this 15mm rod mount on top. In fact, SmallRig discontinued this cage, and the new version doesn’t include this mount anymore.

24-70 f2 would change things a lot. It means I can carry my 14mm f1.8 and 135mm f1.8 and forget everything else. Covered for night shooting, video, portraits.

Nothing that costs over 10K a piece is affordable.

since this is 11 months. how is it? did it leave any marks on the GR3 lens thing? i noticed it left a mark on mine. (the parts where it is in contact with the cap and lens)

Would this work for Small rig matte box?

LPL is not the standard mount. PL is. LPL is a larger mount with a shorter flange distance. I believe these lenses have a large enough image circle to fit the Alexa 65. Considering that, the price is not as expensive as it sounds. However, that does not make them any more affordable.
