My name is Kim.
I work as an electrician, but on the side, I scrap anything that contains copper, brass and aluminum, and then melt some of it.
Follow along and see if I can improve with different furnaces, casting molds, and sand.

Sandcasting fight against cancer flower - Knæk Cancer 2024 - Making copper and aluminum ingots
Hey guys.
This week in Denmark, we are putting extra focus on the fight against cancer, culminating in a large tv show tonight on Danish TV2.
The show is also a fundraiser to raise money for cancer research.
With this video, I will also try to raise awareness of what can affect us all.
I will try to sell the two flowers I have made and the money from these will go directly to "Knæk Cancer" (Fight against cancer)

Hey guys.. I have brought home a 3 meter long bus bar because my colleagues want to know how much aluminum is in it. I keep the sandwich and melt it. It melted quickly today because I got more air for my furnace, so I'm also trying to melt some copper. Before, I used about 75 - 90 minutes to melt 1.5 kg of copper. I'll stick with the term used and coined by the actual discoverer. The spelling with more legitimacy is Aluminum. Initially Sir Humphrey Davy called it Alumium, and then started calling it Aluminum when he published his work Chemical Philosophy in 1812. Some anonymous t w a t ,upon reviewing said book, thought it sounded better with the extra I and syllable. Everybody calls Aluminum's oxide Alumina, not Aluminia. Nobody else seems to feel the need to rename Platinum Platinium, or Molybdenum Molybdenium, or Tantalum Tantalium.

The simple answer is, No
For a hobby scrapper, I would say Yes. But if that's your day job, I'd say no.
