We are delighted to be here today to honor Ashlin Morales with a $1,000 scholarship for her outstanding achievements as our Texoma Excellence in Fine Arts Scholarship winner.
Ashlin has been deeply involved in the visual arts for most of her life, dedicating the past seven years to honing her craft at both the middle and high school levels. Her remarkable talent and visionary approach to art have earned her numerous accolades, including first and third place awards in the Madill Art Club competition, recognition in the Tobachi Art Competition, and the Scholastic Drawing Competition at Southeastern University. Ashlin has also been honored as the Top Artist for her grade level for the past three years at Kingston High School and won the school’s Holiday Card Contest in 2023.
Ashlin’s creativity extends beyond personal achievement; her artwork is prominently displayed in the Kingston High School Commons, where it inspires peers, staff, alumni, and community members alike. She has taken a leadership role in community art projects, notably assisting in the creation of a massive piano keyboard mural for a local coffee shop. Her dedication to her craft is matched by her willingness to help others, regularly mentoring fellow students in the art room.
Looking ahead, Ashlin plans to pursue her passion for visual arts at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, taking art classes to further develop her skills. Her dream is to become a working artist, dedicating herself to creating and inspiring through her art.
