is this a cover of bittersweet symphony? sounds a little different than I remember
When I saw it and she said it's all edible I thought it might be in the same family as dandelion, the Asteraceae, and low and behold it does. I also guess it's probably called milk thistle because it oozes latex like dandelions.
I’m in!
Geez that’s pretty cheap, do many go there in snow season though?
Oh yes. It’s a trail but also a groomed xc ski trail. So lots of people book it for overnights. But during the day it’s open for anyone to hang out in.
@ I’ve never done snow shoeing - I should come over and you can teach me and laugh as I fall down continually haha
You could practice in the highlands! 😆
I love looking at videos of the PNW and its beautiful mountain peaks. Sadly, I'm all the way in the East Coast in Virginia. One day, I want to move there, and my dream is to climb Rainier, St. Helens, etc.!
Make sure to stay well back from the snow cornices in Spring and early summer. People fall through and die occasionally.
First one was cool when I saw you post it after getting that cool drone thing
First
You’re the best!
That's the only trail I haven't gone on in that area. That animal grunting was probably down in those stream drainages that you cross just before you get to the main river. I too had a similar experience where I was going to the top of Bald mountain (the lookout) and I heard a very large animal breaking one inch diameter branches just out of view, all along in front of me and to the side of me. I have heard other reports that a bear is often spotted in that general area.
That had to of been freeeaaakkkyyy! Bears don’t tend to worry me too much. Most often then want nothing to do with you. It’s the thought of a big cat or something you can’t see or identify that you know is there that really gets under my skin
If your ever in Vancouver Washington, check out fort Vancouver national park..lots of haunted buildings on the property, especially the old hospital
Very thoughtful and wonderful gifts! Please keep up the good work! <3
Thank you so much! I hope the ideas are helpful. 😊
Are all these within a days drive of where you live? Looks like a great area for a visit if I come over to the USA
I've got to get around to this, we have the same car! I'm still happy camping in my tent but sometimes this would be handy for those lazy days haha
Absolutely fantastic topic and presentation as always! These gifts are truly worth a look! 👏👏
Thanks so much! I hope it’s useful 😊
Go, Brayden!
This trip looks pretty good, we don’t get the autumn colours here in Australia
Thanks for the ideas!
Definitely I hope it helps!
Thanks!!
Welcome 😊
Happy Thanksgiving Jessica, Thanks for all the Videos… 🤙🍁🪵
Happy Turkey day to you as well!
First💙
I love a good Fire Lookout. 😍
They have become my favorite places to hike
Some day you will have to take me here! Neat oh indeed!
Heck yes!
That is a great roadtrip, so much to see and do.
A TON to see and do! It’s wild this is all so close together
Thanks for the video Jessica. That loop is most interesting and beautiful 🤩🌎. I plan to visit next year Lord Willing ✈ If you ever get the opportunity come see our West Virginia mountains I highly recommend Seneca Rocks!!!
I was on the Gauley river this year. I hope to make it back to WV some day soon
@ wow that’s cool!!!
Wow that just gorgeous
Thank you lovey!
Great information. Thank you.
Thank you!! It’s such a cool road trip
That’s amazig
You've been to some incredibly beautiful places.
I like your mindset and attitude, and ability to think with logical reasoning. I do lots of solo hikes, and quite often descend at night after sun setting with headlight, and feel perfectly at ease and at peace.
Do your wet socks not wick the rain water down into your boots? I’ve had to pour water out of mine and wring out the socks and insoles.
If I saw you on the trails, I’d be scared of you, ya look too tough and hard core 😂
I’m actually friendly on trail.. until it’s time to not be.. 😆
@@WanderJessica yeah I admit you look pretty chilled, if I get to the USA you can guide me on your favourite hike
I know a chick who does this and utilizes her concealed carry permit. Just sayin
Ever do any snowshoeing?
Sure do! The season is coming 🥶
@ looking forward to it! My first season up here.
"existing as a woman" is so true
Unfortunately :/ But when so many things can be a threat I figure I might as well be out doing the things that bring joy and fulfillment 😊
First 💜💜
🥰
🙌
I LOVE hiking table mountain, living right next to it is awesome
Also keep phone in a ziplock
Casually shows some of the most beautiful spots in Washington and Oregon ❤❤❤ that waterfall...I can't remember the name...but it's here in oregon i believe. I went there as a kid. I want to go back so so bad .....😢
You are beautiful ❤
i might not be from pnw (midwestern girlie) but the breatheable layers and wool socks are kinda goated, for similar reasons. a breathable jacket when it’s super sunny out is sometimes better than just going without, because sunburns SUCK
From a thru-hiker... this is for day-hiking and 100% inaccurate for overnight use. Waterproof boots take much longer to dry than mesh trail runners... waterproof socks. Pack covers wet out fast and are inadequate. Buy once, cry once rain jacket at 2lbs you'll cry about that weight more than once. A $20 frogg togg rain jacket at 6oz will keep you just as dry, and trust me, you're gonna sweat out the inside no matter what. This is for day-hiking!
Likely the reason I said for hikers..
Too bad they don’t make any of those out of any material that doesn’t cause me physical pain because of their sound to give you a description of how it feels when those make noise it feels like toothpicks being placed at the tips of my finger and toenails and then being driven all the way down simultaneously very fast And the only way to alleviate this pain is to scratch my scalp thanks autism
😅 the solution is expensive but a hide jacket is waterproof, sustainable, and it doesn't make my teeth itch.
@starlady333 I knew I wasn’t the only one who hated that fabric and thanks for the tip
@@kittenvibe7599 ☺️
Stop buying Gore! Only buy non-fluorinated DWR materials!

I love to hike and I'm from Washington State thank you so much for teaching me how to hike, also thanks for teaching all of those Californians that moved up here how to hike in the rain. You are fantastic, you are so awesome you are so smart you are so great thank you so much for teaching us how to hike in the rain thank you thank you thank you thank you
You are very welcome!!

Do you visit these places by yourself? 😬
I did 😅 Probably won’t be doing that again lol
Went here and camped at the end of April! It was AMAZING. Those camp sites were a great find. Want to go back and find the hot springs.
