Great video very Informative
Ok, heres is a situation and the idea. I have the DOF REALITY motion rig. Can't use the settings for body roll and g-force. They cancel one or the other out. So i was thinking a spring system on the Base. The idea is that the motion would compress the springs as i am typing this my mind is picturing how this would or would not work. Any ideas.
Hi, the weight of the DOF would likely be too much for the spring Isolators, and they don't have any damping so the rocking of the motion rig could create issues. I'm not sure there's an elegant way for them to work together.
Would your recommendations be different for AMS2?
I've used the same basic tune for AMS2, RF2, ACC etc. You can fine tune it by car or track if you like but it's a good base for all of them. I'll be updating it within the next couple of days, some improvements in Revs, otherwise pretty similar. Cheers.
Hi. What about the Sound Output Volumes? Did you adjust it for each Bass Shaker and each efect separatly/individual or did you leave them on 100% for each shaker and each effect? This would be helpful... Thank you
I recommend leaving Sound Output volumes at 100%, limiting the output from SimHub just makes the amp work harder. Cheers.
@@slip-angle2400 thank you...good to know
Thanks for this ! 😊
Do you think a nice DSP, better amp, and better transducers would help with sound separation for adding more than three effects?
Not really, you're limited by the vibrations through the rig. Too many and they interfere with each other; cancelling each other out or creating standing waves. The items you mention won't change that. You can run more, I just don't think it adds much and can detract, so suggest limiting it, but it's all personal preference.
Great video. I just bought your 4 channel amp. I already have 4 shakers at the four corner mounted on the chassis. One question: Why is it important to add springs to the rig ? Is it just to isolate it from the ground or to create stronger vibrations ? Thanks
Hi, it does both; it helps isolate the vibrations from the ground and allows the rig to 'float', improving the effects.
Fantastic video, super helpful and informative.. cant wait to run my haptics from you guys!!
Thanks, any questions during set up or use just let us know.
@@slip-angle2400 I'm having trouble down loading the latest 6ch driver file, could I get this emailed to me?
I have trouble, shakers work great. But i can not use onboard and shakers usb amp
Hi, email me directly (address on our website). Cheers.
That click on the mouse was personal :D I really wish I could order the enitre 300W set but shipping is too expensive to europe unfortunately
Shipping directly out of China keeps the price of the kits as low as possible, but it does result in higher shipping. Ultimately it's still less than stocking and shipping locally though.
@@slip-angle2400 I absolutely can understand that.
Any dimensions on the vibrating mounts? I don’t have much room laterally (left and right)
Hi, the mounts/shakers stick out 150mm/5.5".
I got my set a couple months ago, I can't wait to install it, building a new rig first.
Which sim you think provides the best effects?
Good question, I find AMS2, iRacing, and RF2 are all great and I don't think there's a huge difference between them. It's a good idea for a video, I'll put it on the list and do some back to back testing when I have some time. Cheers.
I wonder how this would feel on bigger profile like 160x40 like the Trak racer TR 160. Would you lose to much vibrations being bigger profile
We have one set up on a Sim-Lab P1-X (40160) and it's still great, but weight does have an impact, I go into that in more detail in this video. ua-cam.com/video/k9UVboq8zrg/v-deo.html Any other questions just let me know. Cheers.
Nice explanation also regarding the Hz; thanks!
Quick question - do you guys recommend silicone grease etc for use where the mounting brackets interface with the vibration isolators? I get hell of a lot of squeaking when in use...
Hi, you can use that, although they usually break in pretty quickly and stop making any noise. Just for anyone else reading make sure you use silicone grease and not any regular petroleum based oil as it'll destroy the rubber.
Awesome, buying your kit soon!
Are you looking for EU distributer, because out here the kit can get quite more expensive after shipping, VAT and customs?
Hi, everything is paid on the website, for all but I think Switzerland there are no extra fees when receiving the goods. And you'd have to pay shipping and VAT with a distributor, as well as a margin for the distributor. Direct from the warehouse is the lowest cost method. Cheers.
I’m loving my S.A transducer kit. I upgraded to the new 300watt amp, it’s great. The original 100watt amp would get too hot to touch after about 30min use. No issues at all with 300watt amp.
But does the 300w amp give better/stronger vibrations?
@@rohitbeniwal8649 since this post I’ve had 2 x 300watt amps fail. So at this stage I would have to say they are un-reliable. The 300 watt doesn’t make haptics stronger, it doesn’t get hot.
Useful info, thanks
I just installed four corners this weekend and now fine tuning. I cannot be certain that left and right are clear either I will report back.
Hi, there's more information on that in this video: ua-cam.com/video/u4INM9ZZpnc/v-deo.html Check it and let me know if you have any more questions, I've added email in the the About section.
just installed the rear corners (RR and LR) to my 80/20 on the large lower frame near the rear corners.....cant really differentiate between left and right with my seat of the pants. Hoping these frequency adjustments help.

Does GT7 (via Sim Racing Studio) generate decent enough feedback to the shaker system?
Each sim generates it's unique selection of effects, and sorry but I'm not familiar enough with GT7 to answer that. There are a few yt videos out there, search SimHub+GT7.
Is compatible with the nextlevel elite 160 cokpit?
Hi sorry for the late reply, yes it works with the 160. cheers.
You mention at the end of the video that AC doesn't generate the necessary effects. I spend almost all of my time in-rig driving in ACC. Does it share the same problem as its predecessor?
Hi, fortunately it does not, ACC provides good haptic feedback for curbs. Great sim. Cheers.
Excellent. You answered 110% of my questions before purchasing.
This idea is genius. I really want to hear reviews of this from the reputable YT Sim review channels.
Hi there! I love the intent of your kit! Unfortunately it came a little too late for me, I already went through the trouble of choosing and buying all the components individually on my own. But still I am very much interested in buying your seperate mounting kit, it looks damn well made and I am just about to pull the trigger on it! Just a quick question: What are your thoughts on putting a 5th shaker under the seat, but for a limited number of effects only? Do you think it would improve the experience even further or that it would hurt it? Also if yes, what effects would you choose for the "butt-shaker"?
Hi Mies, I'd suggest trying with just the four corner shakers, it provides great feedback if it's tuned right. I've never felt the need for any more and I'm not sure what effects I'd add. You could always remove one of the corner shakers and put it on the seat if you wanted to experiment before buying another shaker. Cheers.
@@slip-angle2400 Alright, thank you very much for the swift response! I'll try with 4 shakers for the beginning then. Another question, since my space is quite limited: Do you think it would negatively affect the experience, if I install the mounts, springs etc "inwards", so they don't stick "out" of the rig, if you know what I mean? That way it would have a way smaller footprint. Thanks!
@@TeddyThePlaya1 Hi, I'd have two concerns: the first is the rig wouldn't be as stable, especially when getting in and out. The second is that it could reduce the separation of some effects, like Road Rumble (rumble strips on curbs). When I've got some time I'll give it a try, if you get to it before me send me an email (address on website) and let me know what you think. Thanks.
@@slip-angle2400 This is what is holding me back from my purchase. I have casters on the front of my rig facing in because it can't fit if they are outward. Commenting so I get a notification if someone posts an answer.
I'm in the same boat I have purchased the bass shaker and amps and have a running system. I would love to add the springs to my profile. So, do the springs move the rig or does it isolate it more from where it's being generated from? Also running Evo sim rig with and I weight about 200Lbs with that said. What spring would be recommended?
Thanks for the in depth information. Looking into this. Thinking about getting a rig in new year, considering a rig that will fit this mod then putting the rig in first priority
Great video. Looking forward to attaching the isolators to my rig as soon as they arrive!
For those that are supplementing tactile feedback on top of motion, have you tested how the heaviest springs handle a motion platform?
Nice video. With the weight at the rear plus seat cushion absorbing it, I end up setting the rear shakers way stronger than the front. Looking forward to your video on tuning. In addition to software, a video on physically working with the springs would be helpful. I always fear for my fingers when adjusting so I'm eager to hear any tips you have on how you get your rig "on jacks" and back onto the springs.
I'll be making one on set up once I've got a couple of other videos posted. Also this got me thinking about putting some rough guidelines in the instructions on where to set the springs so there's less fussing with them once assembled, so thanks for the suggestion.
@@slip-angle2400 For anybody else reading, I don't want to give the impression that it is onerous. It took me three times. First time bottomed out, second time one foot slipped out, third was the charm. I don't think I'll need to change it again until I upgrade my wheel and pedals. Still glad I got these (and a wind sim) first. DD can wait. These are awesome.
Thanks again for the info, It appears i need to make a lot of changes to my setup. I have everything mounted to my rig...lol
