6:35 the biggest concern I have with my 15yo boy is that he'd rather forgo rewards and lose privileges rather than do the work. I have explained to him that the "privileges he is working for in the future won't be video game or screen time, but a sense of worth, the ability to provide for yourself and family, the ability to have nice things and security and some self-esteem. These are NOT things you should be willing to live without just because you're too lazy to do any work. When he does do things well (which is rare), I be sure to tell him he did a good job and thank him. However, it's difficult to stay positive when he gets fired from mowing the neighbor's lawn because, he either forgot to do the job when he promised multiple times, or did a very mediocre job. That job is one of the easiest to keep. You just have to care a little. Since he sees me working from home a lot these days, I hope he is seeing that it's not a terrible experience. He sees and hears me on calls with collogues and even having a few laughs throughout the day (9-10 hrs). I tell him I was able able to solve difficult problems that others couldn't figure out and that made their day better and I feel good that I was able to bring something to the table. So far, nothing seems to matter. He just "wants to relax."

Just finished reading ‘Raising Warriors: Preparing Your Children For a Godly Life’ and it really opened my eyes to some new ways of guiding my kids in their faith. Highly recommend it if you’re looking to strenghten your family’s spiritual life

My son is 17.5 and only now hitting a really strong rebellious phase...he just told me he wants to move out of my house and live with his mom...Ive done basically everything you suggest. I realize theres probably not much I can do at this point...everything he brings up is about his feelings, he even acknowledges its not anything I do...what do I do with this!?

My small issue is when other kids feelings get hurt, my son is 15 and in our church there's this little 10yr old girl who hits on him, It's so interesting to see her try, attempt after attempt, I guess it's not super common for teenagers to be nice to kids, I mean for sure I know growing up us kids would just get bullied, anyhow I tell him never to reciprocate and he for sure doesn't love the attention but I just hope her feelings never get hurt

I struggled with this so bad when I was a teenager. Now I’m in my 30s, married with kids and a business partner and I still struggle with it so bad. I’ve lost jobs and missed very important things like dr appointments or been late to court because of it. Don’t even know what to do anymore.

It seem like she enjoy winding me up when I tell her off she just started singing and block me out like she not listening, but minute late she will do the opposite of what I've just told her not to do 😢

But now the ruling is he can't play roblox on the weekday at all. But how can i stop him being bored all the time?? I need help. Hello, thank you for making these videos. My teen calls me stupid when my husband and I argue. Most of the time my partner blames me for everything, shames me calls me names and tells who taught you to be like that. This been going on for a long time now my son is a teen and disrespects me.
