NASA Now Believe That Betelgeuse Has Swallowed a Companion Star!
Betelgeuse is keeping the research world in suspense. After the red supergiant attracted attention in recent years with extreme fluctuations in brightness, some experts believed that the explosive demise of this stellar colossus was imminent. But now, the right shoulder of Orion is once again causing a stir.
On the one hand, there is the theory that Betelgeuse is rotating much faster than it should because it once devoured another star. On the other hand, there is the assumption that the stellar giant is still not alone. But even assuming that Betelgeuse is actually a binary star, how is it that the companion star has not yet been discovered? And how would its existence lead directly to the solution of a fundamental mystery?
In our imagination, the sun often represents the ultimate in the cosmos. No wonder, since, in theory, our Earth would fit into our mighty mother star around 1.3 million times. And although the sun, with a diameter of almost 1.4 million kilometers, can confidently be described as impressive, we should not forget that there are far larger celestial bodies out there-bodies that would turn our central star into a puny dust particle.

Wake the AI voice up and give it rules of pronunciation. Irritating, no end. Also highly repetitive. Needs a new script.

The dimming has been attributed to a smaller star passing in front of Betelgeuse rather than a possible super nova. The smaller star is actaully orbiting around Betelgeuse.

Question for you all, When a Supernova mass ejection hits earth's magnetosphere, the CME generates voltage that is superimposed on the electric energy grid. Can a Supernova ejection voltage can create currents on the grid that can lead to transformer failures and blackouts?

or its a dual system like most stars are double stars , and one rotates around the other , hence the cycle . Sometimes we see 2 , sometimes we see 1 , but since its so far , its a point source , we can detect only brightness difference . And let me tell you, i know for a FACT its a double star system , and so is Solar system , Saturn is our other Star , but it does not explode , it turns off. If you would look at Sun from far away you would see same light difference cycles . Even more complex , and indeed Betelgeuse one is also more complex but our Instruments cant detect it .
