Getting My 1952 Massey Ferguson TEA-20 Running Again!
In today’s video, I attempt to reassemble my 1952 Massey Ferguson tea-20! Now please understand that this video is not a how-to video, however a video showing my learning on how to work on machines and engines with my dad. This video was recorded a while back and I have learnt so much and developed my understanding of how things work and how to fix them. I was, and am far from professional but I aspire to be. I encourage people of all ages to find an old piece of iron and work on it with someone who knows what they are doing and you’ll have a good time with. In the next video, I’ll put my old tractor to work again after what we are thinking, decades!

Removing The Cylinder Head On My Massey Ferguson!
Переглядів 92210 місяців тому
Well on this video the old 1952 Massey Ferguson TEA-20 gets her cylinder head removed. She’s been putting pressure from the cylinder into the cooling system causing her to do something that looks like overheating, but wasn’t. She got to much pressure into the system when I had her revs up and then had to get rid of the pressure somewhere. So I removed the head on her and inspected the head and ...

You will also see a “done by trained professionals” thing because a video got taken down because of me driving the tractor. We clean and degrease this old tractor first off and then we paint is it’s glorious bluey-grey colour so it is one step closer to looking like it was back in it’s prime days in 1953.

BEDFORD-THE RESTORATION | Trailer For Series!
Are you going to do the 12v conversion?
Yeah already done! Piss easy too. Just buy a new wiring harness and voltage regulator on eBay and it’s plug and play. I had to crest my own wiring loom for the headlights is all
Let me know mate when you can come do mine😂
Very nice tractor indeed ,I used the petrol engine version during the mid sixties to the mid seventies and I should never have sold it,for heavy trailer work you need the pick up hitch or draw bar bolted underneath the back axe for safety.
Doing a good job . my first job on my dad's farm was a Massey Harris 44 governer . But my steady job in summer was on one of those cutting and rakeing hay at 7 years old
The crankshaft makes 2 revolutions to one of the cam
womp womp
Totally correct! My dad says that in the video too!
Its not a Massey Ferguson its just a TEA Ferguson

At least A, he knows his tractors and he's totally correct. AND B, he knows how to compile a statement in good English. Regards 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧

Bonza job!
still waiting for the resto pics or update.
How many years had it been previously since it had been started?
Son, you talk a lot of bs. I had to get it from someone 😂😂
many compliments for these videos, channel discovered today by chance but already many compliments! It's the first video, but it already deserves compliments for everything
Radiator broken ? Hope it kan bee fixed !
1952 one year older then my Pontiac car . Nice job on the Ferguson .
I think I got the one that's never been bogged a 1948 been dusted still on the original brake linings only half down jim from wagga wagga
How did you get the right colour? What brand of paint is it? Looks great mate!
So we used something similar and not great quality since it’s a work machine but it looks great. The colour name is pewta grey and we got rattle cans from a local hardware store. I’m pretty sure that colour is available online.
We have similar ideas and you have one more helper. Looking forward to comparing works guys.
Great Job 😁👍👍👍👍
I cant see the bedford anywhere ?
She’s in another yard. Got the brake cylinders and master cylinder off so she should be operational soon!
Nice job, looking forward to the next part.
My 1951 has a lot of rust. It did nothing but work on the family farm. It and I are retired from farm work. I wanted to weld metal on the holes, but after seeing the great job you did with bondo I might do the same. Great work.
Thanks! Yeah it’s better todo it with filler on small holes because there is a plate welded on the fender at the bottom and it’s ugly as. Sure big areas need metal but a mix of the two gives it the best look. Better to do it proper than regret it I say!
Excellent job. Doing exactly the same here...
That face at the end... no words needed.
Kid's face: IM FUCKED
Well done in getting it started and moving. Great looking truck.
да сила !одноцилиндровый?

I used rivnuts to put bonnet together...
thank you! for saving her
Now the Ferguson look rely good all over . Great job !
It has been long, Michael. You obviously have been busy!
Man, I've always hated sanding bondo! Nice work Michael, but the best part is getting to see you operate it... I'm sure you'll take great care not to ding the paintwork.
Exactly right mate!
Beautiful job!
Great Job!👍 love the look of joy on the young man’s face when the tractor fires up after all their hardwork. He will remember these lessons for a lifetime.
Really good to see our youth actually doing worthwhile stuff and contributing to the families interests. Well done young man !! Keep it up. From New Zealand.
New Zealand! Wow thanks for the support mate
Funny Name
Hehe
any updates on the Bedford?
Gotta find brakes for it.
We also just put some welsh plugs in it because they were leaking like a siv. We are gonna send the water pump away to be refurbished as well. When all that’s done, gotta fix brakes and then onto cosmetic work
@@Michaelalsoporchard great... in my country there are many bedford and I have a dream to transform one like an american pick up hot rod....
@@ruyboxe I'm working on convincing dad to 454 big block swap it, or small block, or 300tdi. Haven't had much luck yet.

Hi, please can I ask, did you have to prime the metal before painting it? Thank you
Nah we didn't for the body. Probably wont for the bonnet. We primed the grills and the t-piece only because it was bare galvanised metal. If I haven't answered your question or have more, let me know. Thanks!

I had been a bit concerned, what with the weather news we got in the States; glad to see you are ok, and being creative here...
