I love how this is not talked about as a hypothetical. This is an inevitability that we are planning for, due to an ignorance to how our current planning has affected the climate and people that live in these places already. There is a realism in this that I enjoy. The work and planning done here is very hopeful. I am reminded to advocate based on making something new out of hope, not fear. Thank you.

That Rolling Stone map is uniquely bad. Who is in the best position to succeed as a result of green tech, namely solar? Clearly AZ and TX. And yet, the map is completely backwards.

Awesome video. Do these structures last years and years? Like, the original logs are going to rot away at some point, will there be enough new wood/debris behind them by that time so that the whole jam doesn't give way?

Great to see the use of more natural methods of erosion control. Would love a review of experts to help us with our creek. My wife and I discovered some of this method accidentally when we had a huge limb come down in our creek. We could not move it out which at the time was our normal procedure. So we moved it parallel to the creek bank that was eroding and locked it in with a rock. It stayed and three years later a new bank form and vegetation began to grow. We have now planted buttonbush and pussy willow just on shore next to the new bank to try and hold it. This video was excellent. Thank you.
