my bad for that other comment, i expected something low effort to bait engagement cause of how initially ridiculous the opinion seems, and not something that immediately looks well crafted edit after fully watching: i think a good short circuit balance change is just to remove the vibrant white ball from the middle and keep the translucent part, it ultimately is a skill or coordination issue if a short circuit engineer is genuinely cooking a team, but the ability to create a big old ball that deletes projectiles, does damage, and blocks sniper sightlines, and reveals spies, should at least have one of those things removed

as someone who heartily believes that there is no general purpose secondary even close to the gunboats (not even bats, fight me) i can definitely sympathise with your point of view here, especially what you said about the shotgun being situationally better on certain maps. i like to call these maps “waddle maps” because there’s no real reason to rocket jump most of the time. think steel, dustbowl. in these maps i see no reason to use the gunboats, and because teamwork is a lie i think the shotguns carve a very strong niche there

I don't use shotgun, because most Pyros on casual are bad. Same when I play Pyro. Backburner is good enough when most soldiers can't shoot rockets properly.

Whenever I see a soldier with the shotgun, I am subconsciously way more scared of them. Shotgun soldiers mean business. Good video, but if you're thinking about the game deep enough that equipping the shotgun is a something that you're considering because it'll be effective, why are you playing on 2fort and dustbowl? Those are not boring serious maps for boring serious people, those are silly maps for silly people. And the shotgun is a serious weapon.

i love the shotgun so much. another soldier once shit talked me for pulling out the shotgun and i have no shame because it is one of my fav weapons in the entire game.

haha this video is insane because ive been wanting to make a video about why the shotgun is the worst soldier secondary (and then explaining how to make it work in a 6s setting) for ages now. i think seeing this video has motivated me to make it sooner rather than later. (not out of spite or hate or anything, the shotgun is actually one of my favourite weapons in the whole game lol)

That intro clip with the kritzkrieg, that's the reason I went back to the shotgun from using banners. Swapping from conchBox to a basically stock loadout allowed me and my brother to carry a whole attack/defend match. From there I started mixing it up a little with different primaries when playing solo; the Black Box returned to prominence as my go-to but I've also rekindled my love for the Cow Mangler.

I think airstrike shotgun soldier is slept on ngl. It’s my favorite way to play soldier and I totally recommend it.
