I think the main logo is fabulous! i also really like the chips over the texts! But What i don’t like is The Yellowish chips blends with the Beige background, You should’ve used some shadows or something to separate those things , and also the highlights on the chips are too bright especially on the top chip. overall 7/10 design for me! really liked the “K”

Hi Viviana, I'm a fellow italian like you! First: THANK YOU SO MUCH. You inspired me to try to get in business as designer, you gave me courage tbh! Because I always underestimated myself and my work, even if I had lots of jobs as designer for different agencies in the last years. But I was never recognized as my true value (low pay, bad contracts... you know how Italy is working about it). I have social anxiety too, especially with the phone .-. and even if I spoke a lot english when I worked as weitress and cook with many tourists, I feel I don't have the necessary confidence and skills to speak with clients in english about work! So, how do you handle this? Do you keep your contacts with clients via email or you learned to have calls just to finalize and redefine what came out with the questionnaire and the moodboard before actually starting to work on the project? Btw you're very good designer and I love truly your style 😍
@@austricos3423 ciao!!!! grazie mille per il commento prima di tutto ✨ i think the more you speak english the more you will feel comfortable doing it! i was so bad at the beginning, but now i feel so much better even having longer convos on the phone with clients. i still have phone anxiety though, but i would have it even if i was speaking italian so that’s just how it is for me ahah when it comes to your process, you can literally do whatever works for you. if you wanna start with shorter calls do that, or don’t do calls at all. i would avoid them too, but sometimes clients need that reassurance of just chatting with you for a few minutes before starting your project (which makes sense, you know?). so take it one step at a time and trust me, it will get better 😌 i hope that was helpful (i replied in english because i know there’s other people from other countries who struggle with this!)

Hi dear! Loved this video, you are stunning! I wanted to ask you a couple of things: 1. After you have agreed on the moodboards, how many revisions do you do with your client? 2. You present your designs on mockups and it is quite a time consuming part (at least for me:)). So, if the client wants fixes, does it mean you have to redo everything over and over again? 3. Does the whole project take 4 weeks? Are you working on something else during the month or you do only one project? If so, how do you manage? :) Would be beyond thankful if you answered! Xx
hey!! thank you first of all ✨ so, you can do as many revisions as you want honestly! i do 2/3 at this stage but usually it doesn’t take that long to figure out the moodboard. for the mockups i only present the first concept on mockups (because as you said it can be quite time consuming) and then again at the end when the design has been approved. projects can go from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the scope and - since i also run my social media - i only take 2 clients per month so usually i’m working on multiple projects. hope that was helpful! and thanks again for watching 🤗
Hello, I don't understand something: when you do a brand identity design for someone, those kinds of prints ideas are just...ideas for mockups, not for real printing? I mean if I'll do this for mock-ups and my client say "oh so I can print it right how it is, right?" what should I do? I don't understand exactly if the assets are just things that will help our clients view what they can do for their brand or we have to use those assets making them a real print poster for example. Idk if I'm clear:)) i mean how clients will know how to use those assets? Cuz even if you are giving them examples its still hard. Maybe they will say that you can do it dor them, that it's your job. So...those things that you have made in this video it supposed to serve as mockups only or its a real print? Gosh, I think sound so dumb, cu I'm not coherent:)) im sorry!!
hi!! it’s not a dumb question at all, don’t worry 😌 when it comes to real clients, it can go both ways. first of all, usually you discuss the project scope beforehand, so you know already what’s actually gonna be printed or not. for example, if the client commissioned me a flyer, then i’d design it and put it on a mockup like i did in this case. other times the client doesn’t commission a specific asset, but you can use mockups to show how the visual identity could potentially be used in real life (and give them ideas)! for this video specifically, the flyer is a completely custom design so i wouldn’t have designed it like that if the “client” hadn’t requested it already (it’s not ideal to spend that much time and effort on something that wasn’t requested). but when it comes to other assets like boxes or tote bags, you can use them as vessels to showcase the brand identity! it’s really up to you and how much time you want to spend on the presentation. best case scenario, the client sees a mockup and likes it so much that they actually commission it to you (it happened to me a couple of times) i hope i answered your question, and thank you for watching ✨
@@viviana.graphicsI understand now, thank you so much for your explanation 🫶🫶
Wa, I totally understand you when it comes to phone anxiety in general! I'm like this too, and no one understands me but I know myself and I know that I get stuck, not like other people get stuck, but worse:)) especially in English. I had interviews in which I had to speak a little in English and it was a disaster, although I understand English very well and I manage to speak it, but speaking it alone in the room :))) I'm not used to speaking with someone in English face to face. it's very stressful when I have to talk to someone, face to face or on the phone (especially on the phone!!!). and now that I am a beginner brand designer, I am afraid of what it will be like. and related to living in your city/country, I understand. I'm not from Italy, but where I live is very nice as a city/country, but the people... make me feel uncomfortable and I want to move in the future. I find myself in your personality, I think you are the only designer who creates a brand strategy that matches me almost 100%. And I follow a lot of people, but in you I found myself the most. I know I thanked you before for the videos, but seeing someone doing brand design with my type of personality means a lot to me. It encourages me. so thank you!
i completely understand what you mean! working in another language can be very hard, especially at the beginning, so if you don’t feel comfortable talking on the phone then you should ease into it and do what you feel like doing. for a long time i tried to do what everyone else was doing just because i thought it was the “right way”, but actually the only right way is what makes you feel good about yourself. the more you do this job, the more you’ll understand how to play your strengths and tailor your process around that. so don’t feel pressured, just enjoy your job ✨ i’m so glad you’re finding these videos helpful! i’m always happy to hear about people with similar experiences so thank you for this lovely comment!
Your videos are soooo interesting and you give us so many informations about the process! I rarely see such an informative and logical video. I really understood every step that you made and it's very important to understand, especially when you are a beginner. There are so many videos on yt and tiktok, Instagram, but yours are really informative and I felt that I find new important infos, even though I've seen a lot of tutorials and thought I couldn't really learn new information from UA-cam. Thank you, your ideas and how you explain your process are precious. I found you today so randomly and I'm so grateful 💜🫡

Mr Williams homework
I'm in LOVE with this brand!! 😍 I do have a question though...in these cases, which are the brand colors? For example, let's say Aristae has 20 different spices and you use a different color for each spice. Does that mean that the brand will have 20 different brand colors + the olive green and beige base colors? Or only the olive green and the beige are the brand colors? I ask this because I've worked on passion projects, food related, and I always struggle when defining the brand's color palette because of all these flavors😅
hi!!! thank you first of all 🥹 when you have all these colours for the flavours, i think the actual brand colours should be very simple so in this case i think it would be the deep green, the beige and the olive green. but for example when it comes to posters or social media you can have fun with the rest too!!
@@viviana.graphics that does make sense, thank you!! 🤗
aww Viviana! I felt so bad when the time ended. you were so on a roll 😢 also, the logo for ballo would have been so cute if you had more time. i saw the vision. the two "l's" were more up and linked to the a and o. but it's okay. 🤗 as for my favourite logo, its a tie between "the scoop" and "sweet cheesuz". you did a really great job on them 😊
ahah thanks! that’s the beauty of the challenge 🤗
so u have to make ur own website even if u r just starting ??
i would suggest that, yeah! if you have the means of course. it will automatically make you more professional and trustworthy. but if you’re just starting and you prefer waiting then a behance profile could work too!🤗
lets say im ready with everything tjing and i just wanna design and sell..... i start with portfolio or opeing a fivver account or how do i start ....
i strongly advise against fiverr.. it’s not a professional platform and most people want results fast and they want to pay the least amount of money possible. in my opinion i think you should put together a portfolio first and then put yourself out there as much as possible: locally, first of all (if you can) and then on social media. that’s the only way to post your work on your own terms and share not only the finished product but also the process behind it (showing your skills, which is mostly what will attract clients and will make them trust you) 🤗
