I had grand plans to shed some weight and update the loadout of my shoulder crushing beast of a bag in the TP-XXL. Funny thing is - I couldn't help but pack it back in almost identically haha! This is a pretty long video but I do talk about the tools briefly whilst packing them away. Hope It gives you some ideas for tools to add to your kit! Check out my insta for more - willmanne...

Aussie Electrician - 600A Diesel Generator Connection - TOUGH Job!
Переглядів 2,1 тис.Рік тому
Follow along for a double day adventure into the mountains! Josh and I hook up a big Kohler 600A/450kVA generator servicing a nursing home in a brand new Main Switchboard that we upgraded last week. We used this generator to power some essential services via a temporary board whilst we did the MSB upgrade. The weather was a little crazy 30C day one when we manhandled the cables and 15C the next...

Hey Dave. Long time subscriber of yours. Just dropping in to say I miss these industrial fault finding videos. Always interesting and fun. Cheers from the Australia of the USA, Florida.
tradie trav loved his marvel mva200's
Thanks for the help
Nice setup 👍
LMAO, as an old time sparky I still use a gyprock saw and insulated screwdriver to do the cut out and unscrew the terminals, seriously, a cordless drill to undo the terminal screws. Still laughing.
The new generation m12 combi is definitely not underpowered
Thanks for the vid Dave! Going to try the cable tie trick next time I’m doing sub mains 👍
These are so handy for commissiong! It can do it all!
So anybody know where Dave disappeared to ?, I only just found the channel & it had some bloody good content.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I CANNOT SEE A WIRE ROPE CRIMPER. I UNDERSTAND ELECTRICIANS DO COPPER ALUM ETC. ENTERTAINMENT RIGGERS WORK IN GAL STEEL & STAINLESS STEEL....I HAVE TRIED MORE THAN 50 SEARCHES & NOT 1 BATTERY OPERATED TOOL FOR STEEL WIRE ...WTF ?
Great vid. Love the “hi dad”!
moves arm, torque wrench click, your too buff josh lol
8,8 is hardened level
Excellent work mate .. you in Sydney.. I did my tech at Ultimo and petersham, in the 90s ..
What kinda hammer is that
It's the wiha electrician hammer.
i always carry a 17mm and a 16mm spanner on the tool bag or load out, 17mm is usally the splice nuts for the cable tray joiners and the 16mm are the nuts for the rods for hanging unistruts, they always come out to be useful
I took it as initiative when there was absolutely nothing to do to practice stripping wires and gee practice makes perfect
Gunna practice your twist method because seems more efficient and less popey on the wrist
I can tell it's Aussie by the beard.
😂
Stop playing just get the Tsunoda, KBN-150
Quick question, do these need to be fastened to timber or something in the roof or can they just be sat next to the downlight coiled up on top of the insulation?
They can sit as long as the cables 1.5mm² or bigger. There's a rule about 1mm² - it needs to be fixed.
@@WillmannElectrical Thanks mate. 🍻
I thought you couldn't put wire through an insulated wall to avoid fire risk. Am I wrong?
Nothing wrong with it here in Australia mate, common practice
@@WillmannElectrical thanks for the reply :)
I'm sorry, the what in the cable 6:29? Where does one buy such cable?
😂
What fluke test pen is that?? One of the old proxy testers?
Just cause you can doesnt mean you should.
Can you close the pocket with T6 inside?
3:54 super expensive?! I have like three of these in my van leftover from previous employees 😂 I had no idea
17:21-37 love the punctuality of tending to your (daughter maybe). Filming can wait 😎
been looking for good pliers. bought a Wehi and handle started slipping off.
Hi multigrip heads brand and model please ? Tks
Great video ! Quick question, have bought Clipsal Classic Series Double GPO's, and have noticed that some of my current GPOs has 15A mechs in them (as they are really old). the new clipsals come with 10A mechs. will a replacement from 15A to 10A be OK ? especially in a bathroom ?
long tips on fluke tester ar to be used for continuity ill say 😜
The best value zip tie flush cutters of all time: Fujiya KBN-150 at less than $20 USD. Made in Japan.
just a quesiton i noticed your went dirct buried with your fire rated consumers, were they within the easement or going to be covered by pavement path and well beyond 600mm deep kinda hard to tell
i can hear the early aussie morning birds chirping, i love it done this so many times connecting consumer mains on sub end and main switch end probably the best feeling and the most stressful
👍
Dave where have you been man we need more videos mate
At a Turner site they wanted you to Twist them off😂
How can a residential sparky get into doing this type of work ? Looking to learn something new and interesting
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
excellent video!! Which one has the sharpest cut in your opinion? I'm looking to buy the Marvel mrv200N. do you recommend it? cuts more than Knipex?
Thanks mate. All solved now 👍
Hey man! Follow you on IG…. And have now found your UA-cam :))) Was wondering if you think the fluke 1664FC is worth it compared to the Fluke 1993. I’m looking to buying my first multi function tester (freshly qualified)… I think that the Fluke 1994 probably has features I don’t need unless I was a business owner. What do you think? The 1663 does all the tests really, including EV. The 1664 is also an extra 2k. I want a multi function tester that can last me a really long time for nearly every area of the electrical industry. Would you recommend me getting the 1663? Or maybe a different brand of multi function tester. Fluke has a really good sale on the 1663 atm as well. Cheers, Lily
I would definitely consider some other MFTs, kewtech/metrel/megger are all on par. I did think the 1664 was worth the extra $$ for the features (especially auto test and pre-test) it shouldn't be 2k more though 🤔 Msg me on the gram and I'll try and get you a discount through fluke direct
Do you want to see 8 grand in hand tools without batteries lol jk my guy you do have a lot of really good tools I’m a collector slash user of all the same tools myself so I know the struggle
I did that but my second light won't work... what am I doing wrong?
Not hiring a licenced sparky 👍
Where did you buy the dies from?
Where did you buy the dies from?
Just use em they will get dirty and show perfectly
Have you used that leakage meter much? Is it any good?
You nicked the cable
