Custom Vinyl Block for Google Nest Hello Installation
Переглядів 6364 роки тому
While installing new siding on my front porch and placing my Google Nest Hello Doorbell, there were not many options for a solution that would look good with the siding I was installing. All of the vinyl siding blocks were either too big or just not the right shape so I made one. Hope this helps some others.
Hi how's going I have a same fridge Did you know how to fix the high temperature alaram and set up temperature? Please let me know thanks
I just used the button to set the temperature to recommended. Not sure about the temp alarm, sorry.
Great Review and thanks for all the tips and review. How many people did you have to move it into your kitchen space?
Just two delivery people. Fortunately, my garage door into my home leads right into the area it needed to be. They used a dolly to bring it up about 4 steps. Once inside, it was easily moved using its wheels. The newer model has a much nicer interior.
@@imperfectperfectionist1911 did they move it in with the box intact or did you shed the box before?
@@d2woodshop687It was in the box. I don't recall it being on a pallet, just on it's own wheels when they brought it inside.
@@imperfectperfectionist1911 thank you for your insight!!!
What is the cutout width? 47.5” - 47.75”?
If you are referring to the top of the fridge where it's open...? I have not finished installing the trim. There is a matching cabinet piece that will be installed there and cover it up then finished with crown molding.
No - I am referring to the width of the opening that the frame rests on…. The width needed to fit the fridge in flush and properly
@@jamesparr1867 I totally misread your original question, my bad. The width is about 47 5/8. The fridge has around 1/4" bezel wiggle room on each side. I was installing cabinets at the same time so I was able to move the right pantry cabinet to make it fit.
It looks cheaply made
Thanks for good review. I am looking an American made fridge to replace our Monogram which is now a Chinese company.
As much as I like the Ice and water dispenser you made a wise decision going without one at the door. I just bought this same fridge although mine was manufactured in 2011 but aside from the digital display and handles these fridges are the same underneath. The ice dispenser door was damaged on mine and I was able to fix it. The previous owner was remodeling and I just can't imagine the kind of fridge they got after they sold this one....I paid nowhere near the money you did but if I could've I would've .
Did that clip on the top grille panel come with it? I'm helping a friend repair his and I don't see it on the installation manual or any parts website.
I'm not sure what you are referring to. Everything to make the fridge run and visually appear as advertised was provided. It's pretty much a freestanding fridge with cabinets and trim installed around it. It does not even mount to anything.
Still good?
Nice video. Great job on the cabinets. Where did you get them ?
These are actually Kraftmaid from Lowes
I always put my ice into a ziplock bag to let it freeze, then I use a large spoon to break up the ice cubes into individual cubes and then put them in my ice machine for dispensing. I have never had a problem with this.
Does it have an internal water dispenser?
No, no internal water dispenser. Just an ice maker with an oversized storage tray.
Thanks for this review. Makes me want to go after another brand but, like you, we want matching appliances. Nice DIY’ing, by the way. 💪🏽
If you wanted all those extras, you should have bought a subzero. Your money was spent on mechanical quality, not ascetic.
I looked at subzero and it's sister products but they were just very expensive.
How much was the MSRP and how much did you pay?
MSRP is around $10,500 but I got it for $7150. I did purchase 6 other major kitchen appliances at the same time.
@@imperfectperfectionist1911 did you buy from a scratch and dent store or is it new from a normal store? It sounds like it would be from a scratch and dent as any store right now could sell this for full retail in seconds. New high end appliances are taking forever to come in. Some are a year out lol
@@TheBrokerLife All of the appliances were brand new. I ordered them around April 2021 and got them within 6 weeks.
@@imperfectperfectionist1911 then that is a fantastic deal! How did you find a place to sell for so low? Great job!
@@TheBrokerLife I went to two different places. The second vendor beat the first vendor's pricing so I went with them. Maybe it was a time during covid where they were desperate for sales and had a shortage of employees and not parts. Glad I got it when I did. Build.com is where i bought them. Website prices back then were still MSRP vs. what a rep quoted me.
Thanks for the review. We are getting ready to replace our 20 yr old 48" built in Kitchenaid...it finally bit the dust! I am confused by the manual defrost....which is what is specified on this fridge. Can you elaborate on that? I also wish this fridge had a door alarm...there are many times when the door didn't close all the way on our old fridge and caused some cooling issues. Our fridge will be located right next to our built in double ovens which are Kitchenaid, so like you, we'd prefer to stay with the same manufacturer. Thanks again for the informative review!!
There are no labeled buttons for manual defrost so i'm really not sure. I've been using the fridge for about 5 months and never performed a manual defrost or any other type of maintenance. This fridge does have a door alarm although I tried to purposefully use it but gave up. The doors are pulled shut from a spring so if the doors are less than 90 degrees open, they shut. Even if I open it a few inches, the spring will pull it completely shut so you probably won't have a problem with that. Kitchenaid was running a rebate special, the more appliances you bought, the more rebate you will get. I used some of that money to buy a 3yr extended warranty for some of the appliances i bought; fridge oven and beverage fridge. (The three most expensive items) hope this helps. PS: do a few internet searches for Kitchenaid rebates. When i got it, it wasn't readily/easily available on their website.
@@imperfectperfectionist1911 Thank you!!
No instructions on how to use the control panel? It isn't intuitive at all.
DUMB MUSIC ANNOYING
The clown music at -1:25 was startling, but other than that, 👍🏼
Wow ...did he tell us how long it takes to make ice or did i miss sumthing lol 🥃
Thanks for your video! I just put our Santern together and got very concerned when the only thing happening was water flowing over what I thought were the ice cube trays. And why in the world were the trays vertical instead of horizontal? They will never fill up with water like that! I was ready to pack it in until my husband showed me your video. I feel much better now...
Scary clown music.
What type of water you're using?
Filtered water through a Berkey water filter.
Here's a list that helped me out. "whinyl.com/top-10-best-ice-makers-2021/ In the end, I went with #9. 2:15
Not bad at all. Neat work.
Thanks... It's still holding up
