When I write this line: ObservableList<int> yearList = FXCollections .observableArrayList(2014, 2015, 2016); I get the error "Syntax error, insert 'Dimensions' to complete ReferenceType" Does anyone know what that means? The problem with videos like this that do not explain concepts generally and that do not provide code to use, is that if you mess up one little parameter you have only three options, all of which are bad. (1) restart the entire video series to find the one little thing you need to correct (AWFUL) (2) fiddle with all possible, related parameters until the issue is resolved (AWFUL) (3) give up and just press on ahead (AWFUL). My advice? Don't follow this video tutorial series. Yes, you may learn something, but your knowledge will be inflexible and you will lack any real understanding.
