Steel Legion: "Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me?" Kriegers:"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."
Hey Nach will we be seeing anymore videos from you in the future? Cheers
It's a cultural mistake to call a game dead just because no corporate Scum are pushing their drug any more. The game is alive as long as people play it.
Greetings from Germany. My Troops are: Space Marines, Imperial, Eldar, Orcs. Dark Eldar are very cool but I have nothing from them...
I’m planning to do this with the apocalypse system instead. Good idea?
Hey buddy You still in Thailand?
Quality
"Although I acknowledge that fighting war engines is a complicated profession..." perfect voice for this.
Brilliant looking army!
With 3d printing people can build armies, if Games Workshop won't support it then you don't have to feel any guilt over it
Such an underated system let's revive it please
Nice work. More overview shots please.
Note: Spartan Games is kaput, bought up by another company who's changing the ground scale miniatures. (Shame as I was just looking at my Britannians and thinking of using them as guard proxies.) There is a new player though, Troublemaker games/Vanguard Miniatures.
quick question, where could i get buy those models nowadays?
Ik it's a bit late but these days most people 3d print their epic minis
love epic, great video, just getting back into it...
Do you have a tutorial on how you did these?
Sorry Nee Nach, but how do you paint the bases? Thanks!
Hey, I know this is an old video but I recently took your advice on starting a steel legion army using proxy models from vanguard miniatures, after receiving them today they seem considerably larger than I expected. How big are your models? as the models im using to proxy chimeras are 2cm wide and 4cm long and the churchilian tanks are just slightly smaller than this. Compared to the models in your video these seem significantly larger and I'm worried I may have used the wrong scale, I bought them in 6mm scale however they seem a lot larger than traditional GW models in epic scale
Nice batrep. You don't pronounce the p in death korps though. It's pronounced 'core.'
Very informative. Thank you
great video i might just start a epic eldar because of you.
Hey dude are we going to see more bat reps from you any time soon? cheers
You really captured the feel of the Dark Eldar with these conversions. Awesome job!
+Eamon Mulholland Cheers mate. I actually got inspired by the artwork in the 3rd edition Dark Eldar Codex, released in 2012 (?)... was the last purchase before I sold the 40k stuff
I loved that codex! So much style, so few pages... I bought the "Dracon Edition," when the current codex (7th?) came out, but they sent me the much fancier "Archon Edition" instead! The crazy thing is, it was limited to only 500 copies worldwide, and was also ALREADY SOLD OUT when I bought the Dracon one. So I was like, "WTF? Did someone not get their fancy codex?" I emailed GW and they just said nope, there is no mistake, keep it. So I say I have Vect's blessing :)
And the came 6th edition and made 40k unplayable ^^
+Nee Nach I get the codex mostly for the lore and art anyway haha
can you please do a overview video of the Death Korp army in detail of how many models in a unit please!!

Thank you can you send pictures so I can get an idea of the look of stuf ? I have a lot of this stuff but lost all paper work on how an infantry unit looks.
take a look at taccmd.tacticalwargames.net for miniatures, army builts etc., net-armageddon.org for rules and army lists, traitor-legion.appspot.com as armylist generator and vanguard miniatures for alternative proxy miniatures.
and can you please make a video of the Death Korp of Krieg army showing the in's and outs of the army maybe how to make squads and how to paint?
can you please tell me where to get the rules on how to build the Death Korp of Kieg army please and thank you?
+Zachariah Boehme You can find that on net-armageddon.org Search for the army list compendium, which includes multiple army lists such as Cadians, Minervan Tank Legion and Death Korps. On Vanguard Miniatures, you can find appropriate proxy miniatures to build up the army, or go hunt on ebay. Good luck :-)
Yeah, really enjoyed the battle report. I was thinking into getting 2 armies, but this basicly gave me the final go to play the game
+Maik Stich, make sure to check out my blog gemana.wordpress.com - I've been doing two "shopping guides" for Steel Legion and Dark Eldar so far and more to come. Might help you to find an easy and cost efficient start.
Thank you. I would like to show you some pics of what I have already got and what I will trade for on wednesday.
+Yannik Becker Another quick question. Which rulesset would you use? I am an experienced tabletop gamer playing games for 20+ years.
+Maik Stich check out the rulesets on net-armageddon.org That's basically the Epic Armageddon rules, with dozens of further army lists, mostly similar to the available 40k range.
Would it be possible to send you some pics for an approximate army points and value of the stuff I get? Want to make sure everything is fine.
Excellent tutorial - thank you for sharing. This is especially useful as I am just about to start the same journey and try to create an Epic Dark Eldar army. The initial inspiration is the Onslaught catalogue but I really like the way you have used the Reaver Jet Bike parts. For your bases, would it be worth trying to add a cracked ice effect flowing round the structures you have already added ? Just a thought. Either that or small parts of the Epic ruins sprue. Anyway, thanks again.
Nice idea. Initially I wanted to add some blue grass, but it seems impossible to find some.
Great work.
once again outstanding work!#
Very well made intro to this spectacular game.
Outstanding stuff! Would love to see a vid how you made your gothic dark eldar ship. Your creativity is inspiring :)
Caledonian Give me some time - am on vacation now, so there might be some more vids upcoming the next days.
Awesome Bfg man love it
Devlin Arts Thanks a lot - glad u like it ;)
cracking vid...give us more! :P
please keep us updated on this project loving these new hobby vids :) could you maybe make a tutorial vid on how you converted your war machines? cheers
Caledonian looks like I need to buy another pack of jedbikes ^^ was nursing that idea anyway for a few weeks now
haha well nothing like a friendly nudge hey? :P
amazing stuff would love to see more videos from you, your conversion work is utterly splendid!
Caledonian thanks a lot... in that case I am tempted to show my scratched ork and dark eldar fleet as well as my chaos squats in the next weeks ;)
cant wait to see them :D
Are you anywhere near Celle?
Paul Walker In Seesen for the next three months, then Edinburgh.
How come your units are so small ?
Engimato Well... the infantry was inside the Gorgons, so around 60 stands of Death Korps infantry were missing on the table ;)
Nee Nachthall How long and how difficult is to learn rules so someone can play Tabletop Warhammer 40k ? I can understand what it's all about because as a kid i had something similar with Lord of the Rings.
Johan Dale To be honest it is fairly easy, assuming you have some basic tabletop knowledge already and do not need to understand basic game mechanics like shooting, movement and so forth. So if you know roughly what tabletop games are all about, you might need three to four games in total to get into the basic game mechanics. Obviously you can spend years in perfecting your skills and tactics afterwards. in total it is fairly cheap if you are willing to make some conversions for your war engines or switch to alternative manufacturers such as Onslaught miniatures or Steelcrown Productions. Best would be an experienced player for the start, but the rulebook, which can be found on net-armageddon dot org contains also some basic introductory games, which teach you step by step the core rules. I would strongly recommend getting into this game, especially if you like the Warhammer 40K universe, find the 28mm game from Games Workshop too expensive and if you enjoy tactical and balanced wargames ;)
Nee Nachthall Super thanks for the info, wish i could do that one day. Don't know clubs like that where i live but we'll see. Yes Warhammer 40k is my favorite fictional setting.
If I were you, just grab two small armies for the start and get used to the rules. Paint them up properly and if friends ask you about it, try to make a demo game with them... worked well for me at last.
Awesome to see someone still doing epic
awesome batrep dude gets me inspired to get on with my epic, could you do a showcase of your armies and maybe a tutorial for making your gorgons please :D would muchly appreciate!
Could do that, indeed. My main issue is a constant lack of time - as a short summary: cut two old plastic Land Raiders in halves and glue them together. Remove sponsons and get some plastic/polystyrol - profil parts from your local architect or hobby supply store. These work as chain guard. The engine itself is the back part of some Necron Gauss-weapons. The grenade launchers are old turrets from Battlefleet Gothic Plastic Chaos Cruisers. Instead you could just modify the lasguns you removed previously. Thats all it. Feel free to add more details if desired. Cheers :)
Thankyou thats very usefull, well awesome vids buddy, keep it up will be looking forward to the next one regardless :) all the best!
Being a "dead" game how about you do a video on the different Epic rules systems. I still play Epic and have all known rules sets but use the "Blue" rules and NetEpic which I believe is the best.
Personally I play the Net Epic Armageddon rules only, so I have no experience at all with the other rule sets, though I had already a look into NetEpic. So unless you or someone else wants to co-work on a rule system comparison, I won´t be able to provide it - my apologies for that. If Epic is really dead... well lets wait one year. If rumors are true there might be a new version within the next twelve months. until then I am currently cutting the second video about "Where to get miniatures". Should be quite useful for everyone who wants to get started with whatever version of Epic.
lol looks like those rumors were not true
I definetly want to paint a titan sometime, but especially the spaceships are waaaay too small to be correct scale. I am not saying they arent cool models, just that the scale is out of proportions.
Well the Spaceships are more ment to be markers. The models just represent the position of the Spacecraft in Orbit. The models are originally from the separate game Battlefleet Gothic (There are some missions with landing points giving bonus points in epic campaigns...). I will talk about that in later videos more in detail.
the spaceships would be 10 time the length of the battlefield if they were in scale
The only air craft you have in the game are fighters, fighter bombers and bombers. You do have orbital strikes and space marine drop pods or equivalent but you don't reallh have miniatures for them. Thats what I like about this game it is total war!!!
Makes me sad the scale is completely off.
Trust me, the scale is really cool, once you get used to it. To paint up a really good looking army is quite easy and large Models like Titans and war Engines are comparable in Size to Warhammer 40K Dreadnoughts or Space Marines. Therefore they offer plenty of space for freehands or whatever you like - you should give it a try ;)
Nee Nachthall That is one of the best things about EA, cost and how easy it is to paint up an army. Assembling and painting an apocalypses army with a reaver titan is a colossal undertaking in comparison.
