First ride on Redshift top shelf handlebars
Suspension forks not working as it normally would because your not weighting the front as much as you would otherwise if riding and filming one handed 😅
I have a Chanel lambskin square pearl bag and a Chanel handbag but my lambskin square petal bag I have worn 2 times and I am very careful but somehow still has small scratches on the leather and the gold on the clasp. I donât know what happened but I paid over $3,000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. Iâm saving up to buy another kislux bag now that I wonât be paying full price anymore.
Seems like a smart idé with the outer race same as the torqegrip .there is no pressfit anywhere. Also giving mutch bigger balls.😅. They are made of hard stailess steel . I want these.
The first part of your ride is on my door step, great to see 😊
Been using a Win Wing for 6 months. Road bike. Best bit of kit I ever bought, but a bit expensive for what it is. Happily, not expensive for what it does.
What's an 'ass'? Surely it's 'arse'. Call me Mr. Pedantic but an ass would live in a stable and would not require a mudguard!
Cheers for the mention Gary!
Pleasure, it's a great design. As is "it's all rideable" 👌
I can't unsee that the front GT badge looks like it's slipped down, I don't like the bar end GT plugs, I have now seen it for £2500, which I do like
Is it OK for rim brake? I mean, does the dirt will fall into the brake line?
Not tried it with a rim brake but as the brake surface and the pads are below the guard it's a possibility
Brilliant 😂🍻
650B gravel bike!?
Get it done old voodoos are legendary.
I'm on it 👍
Ooh, I had / have one of them. Great frame if you missed Joe Murray Konas from the 90s but wanted disc mounts. Also ran single speed nicely. Do it!
This is a great video, I love it, my LV bag is a kislux , the quality is perfect and the price is great, I was not disappointed
Thanks to this video, I learned something. I can't see the difference between the real thing and the fake one, so I just buy the fake one. But if you want to buy it in the future, it is better to invest in the real thing. But now I am still considering buying a fake one within the budget. I have been waiting for kislux for a long time.
What bike is that ?
It's a Fustle causeway www.ridefustle.com/collections/causeway-gr1-2/Bikes
From the packaging to the details of the bags, I think the kislux shop has made reproduction an art form.
Merry Cheesemas 🎅
Looks super nice. Why one would ride that and not an mtb on single track is beyond me, however. On a totally unrelated note, you and I look VERY alike!
Pretty much the main reason is that a modern MTB makes my local trails too easy, there's no challenge or adrenalin rush the bike is so efficient at its job. The grav gives back that hint of peril that you might not make it to the end of the trail still on the bike. Pretty much what mtbing was like back in the late 80s
At least cheese doesn’t explode when stored in a tailfin bag!
I bought the 80 mm but returned it, too bouncy on flat smooth Road to get some comfort on rough service. I’d love your opinion on how the 70 mm ride in those situations
How were Redshift regarding returns? Did you get a refund rather than exchange. I'm toying with either a 55 or 70mm version to replace my 80mm normal stem. Wondered whether to try the 50mm and exchange it for a 70 if I find it too short.
@ I was able to return with a refund because it was within the 90 days or whatever the time window was and there were no scratches or marks on it so they took it back no issue at all
@@OutThere42 thanks for the reply, glad to hear they were happy to refund. I think I'll get one ordered to try, not much to lose
Geometry is very aggressive - the stack to reach ratio for this frame is 1.42:1 which is more aggressive than for example spec crux, this is why the stem is short.
Yes! I have a first gen grade and was thinking about getting a new one, but I usually ride an XL and comparing this gen it’s crazy aggressive. I’m @6’3” with a 34.5” inseam and I’m now leaning towards a large instead of xl.
I bought a canvas LV bag with my first bonus and within 2 years the purse was cracked/broken in multiple places and the store refused to repair or replace it. I don't know what resale value this crap has. I ended up donating it... well maybe I could buy a fake LV from kislux but these designers/robber barons don't even think about taking a dime from me. This one satisfies my fantasy of many authentic products and I can afford to buy them.
I loved my OO fatty, still in the shed as a SS, sadly my old hips just cannae hack that BB width anymore 😭, especially since I have a ritchey commando repurposed as a 29er+, gorgeous steel is real, oooh me hips!!!!
There's certainly a few miles of adjustment needed between the gravel bike and the fatty!
The Fat Dropbar BMX 💪💪
There's a bonus mistake in there. Those stem bolts weren't set to the correct torque. You need to apply the pressure to the handle grip with clicker torque wrenches not up the shaft - but don't take my word for it, Park Tool have done a whole video on it. And you need to try a Vecnum stem, you will never go back to single pivots.
The click will happen when the correct torque is reached. Doesn’t make a difference to the torque where you hold the handle, only requires a bit more effort as your leverage is less.
@@stevecordingley6422 You couldn't be more wrong. ua-cam.com/video/BPe1-bDFVRM/v-deo.htmlsi=LXbhWD5iWCzL9Hfz
Ok. Il give you that one. Every day is a school day. 😂
From experience, I’d move your computer mount as the stem moves upwards when lifting the front wheel over an obstruction
Star nut is sticking out of the steerer tube.
I can only award 1/2 points as it's not a star nut
I should have looked it up, compression plug.
I put some one of the redshift drop bars on my touring bike (trek 520) the ones with the 70mm rise and I'm a fan. It puts me way more upright in the seat. I recently bought a mtn bike as well, and I'm not much of a mtn biker, more bought it to do touring type stuff in places that it would be better suited to have bigger tires. Anyways, I've contemplated trying some of the redshift bars on it.
Sounds like a plan, it's always having to pay out for different shifters that's the obstacle
For a long time, as Chanel prices have risen, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have a kislux as a travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one would have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
What shifters do you use?
Look at the history of cycling and you'll find every combination has been tried. Drop bar MTB and straight bar road bikes are nothing new, nor are "gravel bikes". See the early days of wilderness riding and cyclocross (before it became highly regulated) to see road, touring and traditional commuter bikes being adapted. 700C, straight bar 'Hybrids' were a road/mtb cross, fulfilling a similar role to gravel bikes. Then people put drops on hybrids. As a teen in the '80s, before MTBs took off, I rode my cheap 10 speed Raleigh 'racer' through terrain like that, 27 x 1.25 steel rims, semi slick tyres, drop bars and sidepull brakes. Or my Raleigh BMX. 😂
I put a set of cow horn bars on my dad's 3 speed oil bath BSA bicycle back in the late 70s, he wasn't happy when the goose neck quill stem cracked. You should look up the rough stuff fellowship back in the 50-60s and see what those guys got up to on normal bikes wearing tweed jackets, they even made it to Everest base camp! But they were never without a box of sandwiches and a thermos
Living near the M5, so recognise half of the routes, but curious to know where you're going in the 1st half of the video. Do you publish routes, or accept Strava followers (to the same end)?
I put drop bars on my Surly Pugsley fat bike (also it’s single speed to hit as many niches as possible😂). Liked it so much I put them on my Karate Monkey 29er mountain bike too. GRX shifters work fine with MTB callipers by the way (to get round the non flat mount frames)👍
You put that fallen tree there on purpose.
this is very old concept history of mtb
Do you go through a lot of drivetrain components? I ride in those conditions but just hear my bank account draining with every graunchy, crunchy gear change and turn of the cranks!
Actually it's not too bad, it's more clay around here than grit so it's not too abrasive
Monster cross or if you talk to people that ride the US continent divide multi purpose bike packing bike
@@matthayes8237 ahahahahah and if they use racks and tell them that they do touring they fight cause they are rad and do bikepacking with racks (?) 🤣🤣🤣🤣
When I started touring off road with a bicycle panniers that had been modified & dry bags strapped anywhere they fit was bike packing the whole so called bike packing is a money making scam just like so called gravel bikes
Panniers + racks = touring. Bags=bikepacking. Whoever says different is marketing
Yup, the good old Monster Cross😊 I love my Salsa Fargo. It's actually my all time favorite bike. Surly Ghost Grappler is fun too.
Mudbaths supposed to be good for ya 😜🤪✌️
You just discovered Monstercross. Welcome.
Music and ride footage is great. Most days I think I'm going to do this to my 29 inch hardtail as I bought the parts already. The other days I think no.... cut my losses and buy a gravel bike🤔
I’ve got the bars and the new bar bag, I can’t believe they didn’t think about being able to put a Garmin/wahoo mount under the bag for a front light, all they had to do was put the same mounting straps under as they have done on the top of the bag. Another great video of our beautiful local countryside 👍
Yea the fitting of lights is an issue as the bag sits so high
Looks a great route
No, it just turned it into a multi hand position mountain bike 😂
You mean like a gravel bike?
@ericwilcock3239 na it needs rock hard skinny 40mm tires, short "playful" chainstays, a 380mm axle to crown fork to earn that "pronoun" lol
@@ericwilcock3239 not to mention the head angle is all off theres entirely too much wheel flop for those "rowdy" 2mph gravel climbs 😅
@@wheelzandgillz there's no set in stone rules about what a gravel bike is or to give its proper name an ATB , a gravel bike is what you make it, even a raleigh twenty can be a gravel bike if that's what you want to use, its never about the bike but the riding you do on it.
@ericwilcock3239 cool then what is a mountain bike riding on pavement? A flatbar suspension roadbike? Is it now magically a "hybrid" people get caught up wanting to give everything a "pronoun" and want to categorize everything with nomenclature, so can my full sus be a full sus on the weekend and a "hybrid" commuter on the weekday for work since it's on pavement? What if I put skinnier tires on it, is it now "just a 90's" full sus mountain bike??
Thanks, I've been looking at those bars for my gravel bike. Think I'd put a tether on the Wahoo the amount it bounces around btw.
Yea that's not a bad idea 👍
What makes that bar bag?
That's from @wizardworks 👍
Thanks. I like orange and it caught my eye. Just has a look - that’s the “barrel” ?
Even when the real and fake are placed side by side, it is hard to tell them apart. You have to do this kind of forensic level investigation, which only shows that the fake kislux is very impressive and the real thing is really not worth the price. In fact, I am very disappointed with Chanel's poor quality in recent years and their customer service is terrible. The fakes look good at the moment
Love this!
Now I have learned how to maximize my quality of life at minimal cost. Now, the bag from kislux in my hand is the best proof.
