Piper Comanche War Cry
Переглядів 1,5 тис.4 роки тому
If you listen closely, you can hear whats knowing as the comanche war cry when landing..
Amazing
Is tool changing stable and consistent or have you experienced any issues?
this is wild! Props to you!
Could you give a link to the project? And what is the toolhead and extruder?
Nice! 48v or stock?
Thanks! Stock 24v
The z-axis sound made by the motor(s) is incredible, music to my ears
Not a huge fan of the gantry on z but this is super cool
That’s just how corona work
I'm not either, but in this case, I can see how it would be way better. Quieter on fast z travel to pick up new heads and way quicker. Would shave a significant amount of time off of a print.
that is really cool man
Any chance to have a look at the Z-Motor ( _[stepper_z]_ and _[tmcXXXX stepper_z]_ ) Config? 🤔 I like to print Multi Color Parts with the Wipe Tower set to _No Sparse Layers ( Beta )_ requiring extensive Z-Axis Movement but going beyond 30mm/s ( on the currently still 24V running Drivers ) produces a *_GNARLY™_* sound with my Configs 🤨

Neat!
I just bought a 77 last year restored it left it tied to the bouy all last summer, hoping to get it out this year and see how it runs.
what are ur acceleration settings and slicer settings for extruder and all..im tring to dial mine ine but im haveing a hard time
can you give the fan and extruder stl
github.com/KoenVanduffel/CR-6_Strain_Gauge_Mounts
Thanku Did you connect the ldo motor directly? Do we need a setting such as vref etc. on the card?
Looking to buy one of these and this video actually helped thankyou for posting!
It's been a good boat... We've been living on it for the last 3-4 years. Shoot me any questions you may have.
what hotend are you using?
What size is your 2.4?
300x300
How is the bed being leveled? I see some type of metal ballin the front
Hi lee are you happy with klipper ?
Yes!
Excuse my ignorance but what you mean on your title with Serial Request ? By the way the printer is beautiful.
Thanks! When you build and finish a Voron you can make a video of it printing and get a serial number for it.
IS THAT FANS UNDER THE BED TO CIRCULATE THE HOT AIR?
Yes.. It warms up the chamber quickly. Also added a temp sensor on the frame and heat soak until the frame temperature is close to the air temperature.
Hey Lee! Thanks for sharing this! I own a CR-6 MAX, is there anything different I need to do to get Klipper running on my system? Also, Love what you did with the cooling ducts, Mine is near Identical minus that secondary fan you got there. I hope they keep making CR-6 series machines, they're so nice.
The X Axis endstop needs some input shaping XD
haha yeah I took the metal part off lol
@@lee8652 beautiful printer. Are those motors moons?
@@Mehecanogeesir Yeah, they came with the Formbot kit.. Kit was great.. Only had to replace the X-rail as it was to loose, replace the probe with the correct one.. the old probe doesn't work with the v2 and some extra wire for one of the fans.
Do you have a mount available for your bed fans? (Also: are you using a Nevermore?)
Using the stock filter.. I think I used these mounts and mirrored two of them to work with the MDRW mounts. www.teamfdm.com/files/file/313-bed-fans/
you don't have enough fans :P
They work great in speeding up the heating of the chamber.
I love that colour combination and the backplane, I have been looking for a dayglo orange filament without sucess, the nearest I got was Prusament Orange, what is your orange filament?
KVP Orange ABS www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BL4Z139/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Nice. What Hotend? 😎
Thanks! It’s a Dragon HF… I changed the tool head to stealth burner because of heat creep issues.
What are the fans on the bottom for? Really like the look of the printer
Thanks! The fans help heat up the chamber faster for printing ABS.
How did you get the probe to work it keeps saying that there is No trigger on probe after full movement. And the TARE_PROBE command is an unknown one.
github.com/leesafur/CR-6_Klipper/blob/main/klipper_config/CR6.cfg Look at the Gcode Macro.. Also you have to set the correct pin for the probe, which is different depending on what control board you are using.
@@lee8652 Thank you verry much 😄
The Piper Arrow has a very distinctive “howl” about it when the gear is down…don’t ask me why.
Thanks alot, i will install klipper for my CR6 , later today. :)
Good luck! Just remember... almost everything you need to know is in the Klipper documents.
Hello, you change the extractor or its stock?
It's the Orbiter v1.5 140g Dual Drive Direct Extruder
@@lee8652 can you share your mounting stl. Thanks

It works great. Please for stock cr6 se printer. Can you share the Klipper firmware and printer.cfg file? thanks.
github.com/KoenVanduffel/CR-6_Klipper
@@lee8652 Hi there , i'm running klipper / mainsail now on my CR6-SE. I use this printer.cfg file from github but , my nozzle prints too high. Did you had this problem too ? Can you help me out here ?
@@bobbulldog7396 Did you run the probe calibrate? www.klipper3d.org/Probe_Calibrate.html#calibrating-probe-z-offset If you did.. you can go into the printer.cfg and scroll all the way to the bottom to find the probe offset grayed out and adjust the value.
@@lee8652 Would someone share the firmware.bin with me ?
If I were an airplane, I'd want to be a Comanche!
Awesome video. My Grandfather built this boat. I have very fond memories of the boat plant. Thanks for posting. Brings back memories.
I just realized your last name... Vary cool!! This is a great boat! There's another short video I posted of it on here... check it out!
not sure how this ended up in my feed but funny enough my best friend's family built these boats in Muscle Shoals Alabama. It may take 600hp but they are hell for stout. His cruiser is a fun machine too. Noticed also you are a pilot. Seems we share the same ways to waste money... I mean convert fossil fuels into fun.
This is funny to read, my dad (the creator of this video) was a crazy aviation enthusiast
@@codygaming181 well, if the Piper Comanche in your feed's homepage is his, that is an awesome airplane! I've got about 50 hours in one and they are a great machine. Too bad Piper quit making them. All the best to you and your old man. Maybe you will catch the aviation and boating bug. You do know what boat stands for right? Bring Onboard Another Thousand, $$$$.
@@Tailwheel828 Ha Ha bring out another thousand! This is true but its also a thousand times cheaper than maintaining a aircraft! ;-)
@@lee8652 The secret to aircraft and boat ownership is to not keep up with your receipts. Otherwise, no one would ever be able to justify it because it is not justifiable. You can't fly or float an IRA or a 401K! :)
Your other son has pointed me to here, the only other commanche war cry video ive seen with audio had music played over it so, i think that means this is the best commanche war cry video on youtube!
