Combing Out Locs & Retaining Length
Переглядів 3,8 тис.2 роки тому
#comboutlocs #combinglocs #takeoutlocs I began combing out my locs October 17th. It took 13 days total. I mostly worked on my hair overnight- staying up overnight into the early morning and pulled a couple all nighters... the smaller locs (about 10) only took 20-30 minutes, BUT the rest took about an hour each and some locs even took 2! 😭To say I was tired would be an understatement, but I was ...

Can’t get my bottle to spray😢
Does yours have a small piece sticking out under the nozzle. It locks and unlocks the sprayer when you push it
i think semi free form is the choice ill make
start mewing your face is falling
I just subscribed because of little man😅😂oh and btw your hair is beautiful 🎉
Aww thanks so much! I appreciate you☺️
Thank you! ☺️
Rocking those natural hair curls perfectly! 👌
This is a blessed video. Thank you for your words.
I appreciate you! ✨
Thank u for this video. ❤ your beautiful
Glad you enjoyed the video! I appreciate you ✨
Will you marry me 😩😩😩😩
Do I had to add water then use hydrating mist?
Hi. You do not have to add any water!
Your Locs r Gorgeous 💖
Thank you!!
Great video …. How often did you retwist in your first year/ when you first started?
when you first get it, is there something you have to remove for it to start spraying ?
There should be a small piece on the nozzle that says “lock” and “unlock.” You should be able to push the piece that is sticking out and hopefully you can begin to spray. Hope this helps!
@@aleshakate Is it under the muzzle ? or literally the muzzle
It’s right above the screw cap-it’s very small (square shape). Do you see a piece sticking out?
@@aleshakate nah i got the pine mist one that’s probably why, mine has something under to turn, nothing on top
@@BankaiSenbxn I’m sorry. I would definitely reach out to them. They are very responsive.
Instagram ads got me. I order some products from them. Thanks for the review!
Awesome! Hope you love the products! You’re welcome!✨
I'm terrified to comb my locs out but after 14 years I have to because my edges and top of my hair is thinning. The weight of the length is pulling so I know its time but I also know my hair is going to be so much shorter and I don't like short hair on me. Your hair looks nice.
Thank you! I’m sure your hair is beautiful and will be just as beautiful even if you comb them out! I wish you the best on your journey✨☺️
@embracedbylove Thank you for saying that. I have started combining them out. It's been a long process, but I'm getting there 😊
Love this I actually got emotional. I currently just started my loc journey a month ago. And this is definitely inspirational
Thank you so much. I wish you the best on your journey!😊
Do the soap and mist soften your locs? I just bought some
How do I transition into semi free form locs? I just recently got a retwist last week. Do you use a dread sponge?
For me I just stopped retwisting my hair and just focused on separating it at the roots when I needed to. I didn’t use a dread sponge though.
What products did you use when you first did your twist please.
I washed my hair and only used water to do my initial twists.
💕💕💕💕💕💕
This is the best two strand twist semi free form video I’ve ever found. Not one retwi$t involved. I’m 2 months and a few days now, people already think they’re dreadlocks lol. I don’t wrap my hair up at night because I love the frizz. I just keep them clean and eat a fruit based diet. And for that reason alone, two strand twists are better than comb coils (less unraveling and better washing options.
Thank you for your comment! All the things you do sound really great!
Omg I’ve never met or seen anyone spell our name the same ! S/o to our moms 😂 Great video ! Will be sharing
Aw thank you!! Right! This is so awesome! 🥰
Your hair is beautiful please no retwist just go with flow and enjoy the journey
I love your hair and I love you did your own hair! You look beautiful Queen 💥💜💥💜💥💜 Sub'd
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you! 🤗☺️✨
how do you keep them from congo'n together?
I gently separated at the roots each time I washed my hair.
Can I use it on my normal hair I ask bc I don’t have locs
Absolutely!! 😊
Nice video I liked the second to the last wrap style.
Thank you!
Love your locs
Thank you!
I am going gaga over your hair! So beautiful!! 😍
Aw thank you so much!! 🤗
Good video 🌝❀ nice Locs
Thank you!
My sis name is spelt Alisha and yours Alesha omg
❤️❤️❤️
I was shocked at first but Hunni I love your loose natural hair too 😍😍😍
Thank you!!❤️
You're beautiful o.o I'm about to start semi-freeform locks with no retwist. I hope it turns out similar to yours
Thank you! Wish you the best on your journey. I’m sure they’ll look great! ✨
Love it! ❤️🔥✨
Thank you!!❤️❤️
@@aleshakate you’re welcome 🥰
I went through the same thing. I combed out my locs right when I hit 3 years. I just started my second set a little over a month ago after I chopped all of my hair off and just started from a TWA. I feel like these locs will be much healthier and at least now I know what size I want and the fullness. Health starts from the scalp so cutting them off with the best decision I wish I would have made sooner. Blessings to your journey. 💕
Thank you so much!! It’s all about doing what feels good and I’m so glad you’re happy with your new set! Blessings to you on your journey as well!💕
I like it for the most part but it’s kind of sticky
Are you still using? Did you find a way to decrease the stickiness?
It's your journey! Do what fits your soul! I love your hair loose and loc'd!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you!! 🤗❤️
Looks great!
Thank you!!
BEAUTIFUL….still rocking with you Sis! It’s the diligence and patience for meee….Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much beautiful!! I really appreciate you!!❤️🤗
So so gorgeous! Do you know what months you actually retwistes, or you never retwisted from starter locs? Just wondering how your parts stayed in place!
Thank you so much! I retwisted up until month 7! When I would wash I would still try to separate gently at the roots to maintain my parting as best as I could. As my locs matured I didn’t have much separating to do ☺️
Do you prefer the Turbanette or the Bandie?
The turbanettes are my favorite for everyday wear. I like the bandies for working out. 😊
@@aleshakate Thank you.
You’re welcome!
So glad you like them!
Can I buy it at any Beauty Supply stores or Walmart?
Right now I believe they just sell through their website
Beautiful locs ☺️☺️
Thank you!
Don’t wear a shower cap ! That helped me I “wash” my hair once a month but it exposed to water everyday then I rub oil on my hands and that helped me with my dry hair like as a loose natural and now with my starter locs
Estou encantado Seu cabelo é muito lindo Parabéns pelo dreads locks !
Gracias!! 🤗
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Is it better 2 seperate dry or wet?
For me it is always easier to separate wet hair 😊
“All you desire belongs to you”! Beautiful queen love it. I love poetry and write as well! Let your voice be heard. Have a blessed week ahead
I appreciate you so much queen!! I had lost touch with writing, but have been longing to create again in this aspect. Feels so good ☺️ Have a wonderful week!
I’m sooo proud of you sweet pea! It’s about to go down for you from hence forth 😘 I find when I’m in nature or showering that’s when I get my best poetry..
Thank you!! Oh how lovely! 🥰 I can absolutely relate! When the mind is at ease and open, the thoughts just come! It’s so important to have that quiet time to allow the mind to create ✨✨✨
