Becoming a Dream Catcher
Germany
Dear Dreamer,
My name is Lexi and I live in the Black Forest in Germany.
I am a dreamer who lost her big dream of becoming a musical theater actress to panic attacks. I mourned and wept for months and then I realized that there are a million other dreams out there. And all I had to do was catch them.
So I decided to become a Dream Catcher.
Now I am a dedicated student at the Academy of Life majoring in „Dream catching“. Maybe we could become study partners?
If you are up for it, let´s catch some Dreams together.
Love Lexi
I dream of living a slow, simple, and sustainable life.
I dream of falling in love.
I dream of overcoming my anxiety and eating disorders.
I dream of being self-employed.
I dream of rediscovering my singing voice.
I dream of doing it (as much as I can) myself (DIY/Craft).
I dream of being a writer and publishing short stories and books.
I dream of living in a van/a cabin in the woods.
And then there are those little dreams.
So let the dream chase begin...

🍂It´s not too late for Fall Memories: A Cozy October Day🕯️Bucket List📜Bee-Wax Leaves🍁Pumpkin Spice
🍂 This is a Reminder to Enjoy the Season 🍂
Dear Dreamer,
Every year I am half excited for and half dreading the autumn season.
Excited, because there is nothing quite like Autumn, with its rainbows and thunderstorms, the abundance of the harvest, the golden days, rainy afternoons, crisp nights, and misty mornings. You get to wake up to a whole new world each day.
But I am dreading it because it is always over so very quickly. I am hit with the inevitability of missing out because it is impossible to take everything in at once. The change, the colors, the ideas, the moods, the teachings, the beauty, and the poetry.
I love Autumn and am torn between excitement and dread for this season because I don´t want it to end.
There is a valuable lesson here for me to learn though...
Ready for a Cozy October Day? We could make a Pumpkin Spice Blend, a Bee-Wax Autumn Leaves Garland, some last-minute Decorations for the Fall Season, and share our Autumn Bucket List?
Let´s catch some Autumn Dreams together.

Dear Dreamer, it has been so long. Recently I noticed another little dream following me wherever I went. I watched it for a while out of the corner of my eyes, getting ready for a little dream catching. It was the dream to start making videos again. It wasn´t easy to catch. It put up a good chase. But I am so proud and grateful that I finally caught it. Thank you to everyone who joined me here ...

Dear Dreamer, it is the end of another year and there is one last thing we should do before the fireworks paint a welcome to 2024 over the black midnight sky. Let us be grateful. Let us say Thank you for 2023! Because if we think about it for a minute we have a lot to be grateful for. Gratitude does not come easy to everyone. It certainly wasn´t easy for me but it is probably one of the most va...

Dear Dreamer, How will I be remembered once I´m gone? What should I leave behind? Which legacy should I build? These are tough questions to answer. A little scary, because they concern death, but in my opinion, they are worth exploring because they help us to figure out what is truly important to us and remind us that we don´t know how much time we have left and should not forget to make the be...

Dearest Lexi, I always find this time of year to be bittersweet. On the one hand it is, by far, my favourite season. The weather is cooler, and the light begins to take on a golden hue. Stars seem brighter and the harvest Moon is always magical, as it rises swollen and coppery orange into a dramatically cloud swept sky. Colours of the changing leaves range from pale rich amber to fluorescent reds, and the evergreens hold them aloft like floating gilded lace. I want to walk, and I want to travel. It creates a restlessness that is difficult to ignore. But then, the increasing darkness can be hard to accept. I find that I dread the looming winter. The restlessness stays with me as I begin to feel hemmed in, anxious that I've not achieved all that I'd hoped to before the season turns. Tomorrow I leave on a road trip to Arnprior, north of Ottawa. It's an eight to ten hour drive each way. I am visiting a friend for a few days. It should be a spectacular run, with endless views and vistas of bright forests, northern lakes, and rolling hills. You have inspired me, and I plan on using the time to reflect on how wonderful life actually is, and how fortunate I truly am. Every day is a blessing. It is wonderful to see you again, my friend! Thank you, as always, for sharing your own unique gentle wisdom with us. Sending much love... Marian 🇨🇦
Lovely vlog and talk . Pumpkin spice 🤪 good one. That lovely fluffy moving pumpking tail in your lap .
Dear Dreamer, thank you for watching and leaving a comment 🥰 I'm happy you enjoyed it! Yes, that fluffy tail just makes everything better. ☺️ I loved that Bray wiggled his tail when I spoke about getting anxious to lose the things that I care about. He knew that this included him 🥰🐶. Clever Boy. I hope you have a lovely week. Sending greetings from the black forest 🌲 Love Lexi
Wishing you all the best as you chase those dreams!
Dear Dreamer, Aww, thank you so much 🥰 definitely circling some little spooky dreams at the moment. They keep getting away though, very frustrating 😂 I hope you have a lovely week 🥰 Love Lexi
🍁 Pumpkin Spice Recipe for a Cozy October Day ⬇️ Dear Dreamer, I've never had anything with Pumpkin Spice. I feel like in Germany, it is not such a big thing, but I've seen it all over Social Media and really wanted to try it. So I caught that little Autumn Dream on a cozy October Day. 🎃 Pumpkin Spice Recipe : (it's the recipe I found online, please let me know if you have a different one 😋) 1 tsp. of Allspice 1/2 tsp. of Clove 1 tsp. of Nutmeg 2 tsp. of Cinnamon 1 tsp. of Ginger I mixed it with warm milk and whipped cream, and it was really delicious 😋. I caught some more little Autumn Dreams, too, like making a Bee-Wax Autumn Leaves Garland. If you want to join me on my little Autumn Dream Chase click the link above the title of this Short 🍂📜🍁 Let's catch some Autumn Dreams... Love Lexi

🍂Let´s start a conversation: I am curious about your take on how to truly enjoy the time we have with the things we love. I often notice myself being torn between excitement and dread whenever I am looking forward to something. I get overly anxious thinking about how easy it is to lose the things I care about. And I know that I have the tendency to rather miss out on something than put myself at risk of losing it. And that behavior often prevents me from going after the things I want. I constantly remind myself that I might not be able to hold on to a moment or a thing that is important to me but that that should never prevent me from letting myself go for it and trying and making the most of it. I want to know if you can relate to that or if you have a different approach or philosophy about this topic so if you want to share some wisdom please leave a comment. 🥰 Enjoy the Season 🍁
🌲 Natural Fir Tip Soda Recipe ⬇️ Dear Dreamer, I caught a little dream... Did you know that you can make bubbly soda with just 3 ingredients at home? I didn't. It was a lot of fun making naturally carbonated soda with Fir tips from the forest. 🥰 So here's the recipe. Ingredients: - a handful of fir tips (some guidelines for the harvest are down below) - 1l of water - 3 tbs. of sugar Instructions: - harvest fresh fir, pine or spruce tips - give them a rinse. The tips contain wild yeast that is key to the fermentation and if you wash them too harshly the soda won't get as bubbly (or so I've read, but I made this soda twice and can confirm that it was more naturally carbonated when I didn't wash the tips as harshly) - put the fir tips in a bottle and fill it up with water, then add the sugar - close the bottle and give it a good shake, then place it in a sunny spot at your window - after 3-4 days there should be bubbles. Those are a sign of the fermentation process (careful when you open the bottle 🍾) ❗Don't drink this when you are pregnant! I've heard that it was used as a way to abort unwanted pregnancies! Guidelines for harvesting fir tips: - the fresh tips grow during May - make sure you harvest pine, fir, or spruce tips. There are poisonous evergreens out there so please do your research. Pine normally has very long needles, spruce is very stingy and fir has two white lines at the bottom side of the needles - ask for permission if you want to harvest them in a forest. - the best time to harvest the tips is when they just opened - make sure not to take the centre tips, but rather the ones on the left and right sides. Don't take from very young trees because they won't keep growing in that spot for up to two years. Also, don't take too many from one tree It tastes very peculiar 😂 probably better with lemon but still worth a try. I might catch this little dream again next year and experiment a little more. Let's catch another dream... 🪶 Love Lexi
So good and so beautiful ❤️
Awwww thank you 🥰 it is also very tasty 😋. Have a lovely day ☀️
🌲 I caught a little Dream..(again)⬇️ I made this Delicious Syrup a couple of years ago with spruce tips. I needed to refill my stash. This time I used fir tips. 🥰 This is not just a sweet treat but also a natural cough remedy. Ingredients - Fresh fir, pine, or spruce tips (careful there are poisonous needle trees out there so make sure to do your research. I also have a couple of suggestions and guidelines for harvesting down below 👇🏻) - 1 lemon - 1l of water - 500g of sugar Instructions: - give the fir tips a good wash and then add them and one liter of water to a pot and let it simmer for 30 minutes - let the mixture sit overnight covered with a lid or cloth (12-24 hours) then strain it through a cheesecloth - add the sugar and lemon juice - Cook it on medium heat. Make sure to stir regularly so the sugar won't burn. It takes around 30 minutes before the sugar starts to thicken. - To test the consistency of the syrup pour a few drops onto a cold plate. Once it's cooled down you can see (and feel) how thick the syrup would be. If you cook it too short the mixture will stay quite liquid (there is still a lot of water in it). If you cook it too long it will get solid like candy after it cooled down. So make sure to test it occasionally. - sterilize your jars and lids. The dishwasher is sufficient, but you can also put them in the oven at 120 Celsius degree for 15-20 Minutes. Make sure the jars don't touch each other. The lids can be boiled in hot water to sterilize them. - pour the syrup into the jars, close the lids, and flip the jar upside down for a couple of minutes - store the fir tip syrup in a cold and dark place. Mine lasted for a whole year. Once opened you might want to store it in the fridge. Instructions for harvesting - the fresh tips grow during May (at least in Germany where I live 🥰) - make sure you harvest pine, fir, or spruce tips. There are poisonous evergreens out there so make sure to do your research. Pine normally has very long needles, spruce is very stingy and fir has two white lines at the bottom side of the needles - Make sure to ask for permission if you want to harvest them in a forest. I was in luck. I found a cut-down tree that was left to rot - The best time to harvest the tips is when they are just about to open. - make sure not to take the centre ones, but rather the ones on the left and right sides. Don't take from very young trees because they won't keep growing in that spot for up to two years. Also, don't take too many from one tree If you have questions, feel free to ask 🥰 Let´s catch another Dream together.
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much 🥰 Have a lovely day 💚
What a beautiful story. I woke up this morning to find your video on my feed, somebody new to me. It really resonated with me. I've been chasing a dream for a few years now, its pieces slowly revealing themselves to me, while I struggle working in a job that isn't a good fit. But I need the income. Jobs aren't plentiful here and this is the best option from what's available. As I got ready for another day, this brought me a smile and a gentle way to start the day. I wish you well and hope you too have a peaceful day.
Dear Dreamer, thank you so much for reaching out and sharing some of your story 🥰. I can relate to your "struggles". Often we get impatient. Dreaming ourselves away to a happy future is very easy and does not take longer than a second. It can be frustrating once we return to reality where everything moves very slowly. I try to actively look for those little blessings of everyday life and celebrate all the little steps that bring me closer to my dreams. I do my best to fall in love with the "chase" of my dreams. 🥰 I wish you the best of luck for your own dream chase! 💚 Sending you lots of greetings from the black forest 🌲. Love Lexi
So happy that you are back! 💗
Dear Dreamer, thank you so much for these kind words 🥰. I hope you have a lovely day 💚 Love Lexi
Oh schade.
🌲 I caught a little Dream ⬇️ Let's make healthy dandelion potion 🧙 excuse me, juice 😉. Instructions - harvest fresh dandelion flowers and leaves and give everything a good wash - remove the petals from the dandelion flower (the easiest way for me was when the flower was completely closed. That happens overnight) - put the leaves/flower petals in a blender and mix them with water - strain through a cheese cloth - store the bottled juice in the fridge. Mine lasted 3 days It tasted very peculiar. The older the leaves are, the more bitter the juice apparently gets. So maybe I waited a little too long 🙈. But the yellow petal juice was rather tasty 😋. Let me know if you'll ever catch that little dream yourself. 🥰
this is great! thanks for sharing :D
Dear Dreamer, you are very welcome 😋 let me know if you ever make them yourself. I can definately recommend it! Love Lexi
🌲 I caught a little Dream...⬇️ These healthy and delicious energy balls with freshly harvested dandelion turned out so amazing, tasty and pretty 😋 Recipe (8 energy balls) Ingredients: a handful of dandelions 65g of almond butter 1 tbs. of honey 20g of oats 1 tbs. Psyllium husks or flaxseeds 4 tbs. of cocoa powder Instructions: -give the dandelions a good wash and then remove the petals from the dandelion flower (the easiest way for me was when the flower was closed) - chop a fourth or your dandelion petals in tiny pieces - combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead till you have a smooth dough. If it is too sticky add more cocoa powder or oats - form little balls and roll them in the chopped dandelions - store the dandelion energy balls in the fridge (mine lasted a couple of days) or in the freezer. I loved them. It might have been a little peculiar to eat those flowers that have been part of my life for so very long, but those energy balls tasted really amazing! Let me know if you ever catch that little dream yourself 😉
Dear Lexi, Dreams come and go. They drift through our thoughts and our lives like the elusive scents of rare blooming flowers. They can't be forced, nor can they be predicted. They can only be embraced, briefly, before they slip away into the mists of the past, soon to be replaced by new dreams for us to pursue. Your videos are much the same. They come as you envision the dreams, collect them, and weave them into small tapestries of joy and beauty. Each one is an achievement, a delicate gift of balance...and we are grateful. One thing you shall never be, my friend, is forgettable 💞 It is wonderful to see you again! Sending much love, Marian 🇨🇦
Dear Marian, hello, my friend. It is really good to hear from you. Thank you for watching and your words of wisdom 🥰. I agree. Maybe I lost my big dream because I treated it as something that was mine to keep. But looking at all those potentials/little dreams as something that can be chased, caught, and cherished for a while until another one catches our eyes puts the focus back on what is truly important. The chase! Or in other words the journey of our lives. I hope you are well. I send you lots of love to the other side of the world. 🥰🌲 Lexi
This seems really good ❤
Dear Dreamer, thank you for leaving a comment and for watching. 🥰 It was a special project and it tastes very healthy 😂. Greetings from the black forest 🌲 Love Lexi
I caught a little Dream... ⬇️ Let's make healthy and homemade Dandelion Powder for yogurt or smoothies. Instructions - harvest fresh dandelion leaves and give them a good wash - rub them as dry as possible with a towel - dry them in the oven at 40-50 Celsius degree till crisp. Make sure the oven door stays open so the moisture can escape. It can take quite a while. I tried to air dry the leaves but they won't get as crisp, so it is difficult to turn them into powder. Another option would be a dehydrator - motar the dried leaves till you have a powder, the finer the better. Make sure to remove the stems of the leaves. - sieve the powder and store it in an air-tight container It is a time and energy-consuming task. But I really enjoyed the process of it. So far I tried to use it as a matcha alternative. The powder was not fine enough even though it tasted fine. I will put it in my yogurt next 😋 Let me know if you ever catch this little dream yourself. 🥰
It's nice to have you back in here, no matter your name or how often you post! It's a huge step to recognize that you should prioritize yourself over your videos. I find your videos are beautiful and I hope that soon they will get the recognition they deserve.
Dear Dreamer, thank you so much for these kind words 🥰 they put a huge smile on my face. It is a lesson we often tend to learn by letting things get too far out of hand. But when the lesson presents itself again, we might recognize it sooner. If I learned anything over the last couple of years then how important it is to take better care of myself. How to do just that are more lessons to explore 😊 I hope you have the most beautiful day! 🌲 Love Lexi
I have two main dreams. One is to really connect with people through my writing. I have been writing (mostly poetry) for 4 years now and just recently self-published my first poetry book and getting ready to release my second soon! I've been attending open-mics and submitting my work to exhibitions and stuff, and I've been loving it! The second is to be an amazing and inspiring teacher. I'm in college working toward a teaching degree and also working at a school to start getting experience, and it is so rewarding! Every day tests me so much, but nothing motivates me more than seeing the impact I can have on these young lives. Thank you so much for sharing your dreams and journey, and for helping inspire us to catch our own dreams :)
Dear Dreamer, what precious dreams you have and what great effort you put into catching them! I wish you the best of luck. 🥰 I just watched your shorts and especially the words "you stand in a rain of compliments with an umbrella" really spoke to me. How often do we walk through our lives not letting compliments of people or the joy that a simple moment could bring touch us just because we never learned to expect good to come from the rain/from bad days? Thank you for these inspiring words. I hope you have a lovely day 🌲 Lexi
My dream is to carry on converting our shed into an art studio. I had given up as it’s so full of #### but I’m determined to carry on. Btw it’s not my stuff that’s it’s full of 😊
Dear Dreamer, thank you for watching and answering my question. What a great dream to chase 🥰 I wish you good fortune in your endeavor! Hopefully, the person the stuff belongs to will assist you 💪🏻 Have a lovely day 🌲 Lexi
I personally really loved and connected with your old channel name, but i understand and respect your decision. I'm glad to see you back and always happy to watch your videos whenever youre able to post :)
Dear Dreamer, thank you so much for watching and leaving those kind words 🥰 I always and still really connect with the message of "Living the pre Dream". I think I just need a little bit of a fresh start 🙈 but I am so glad that you are part of our little tribe here. Have a great day. 🌲 Love Lexi
🌲 Which little Dream are you currently chasing? Let me know down below ⬇️ Welcome back my friends, it has been such a long time. I hope you are all well, happy, and content. 🥰 I finally caught this little dandelion dream that followed me around every single spring for the last five years. I made dandelion powder, juice, tea, and energy balls (those tasted amazing 😋 ). Now it is time to catch another dream...
Dear Lexi, Just a quick note to say "Hello", my sweet friend. It is snowing heavily here today, and all the sounds are muted. It has been such an erratic winter...rain, mild weather to freezing cold, yet very little snow. I went for a long walk earlier, and it is strange to hear the Spring birdsong and to see the returning robins, who definitely appear somewhat bemused by the white wonderland all around them. Right now the beauty of the snowfall is giving me a feeling of coziness, as I watch the Sunday world go by outside my front window. By Tuesday it shall be warm and sunny again, but for now I will enjoy the moment. You popped into my mind, and I felt a need reach out. I hope this finds you well 💖 Cheers, with love... Marian 🇨🇦
Dear Marian, I read your little letter a month ago, right after you sent it, and as usual it put a smile on my face. But I told myself not to answer before I was good and ready. I had to take a break from social media and prioritize other areas of my life. It was all just too much at once so something had to give. And unfortunately, that was making videos. It was really hard to do especially because I had a guilty cautious, especially for disappearing without so much as a word. But it was necessary. I miss creating and hope to be back with new videos in May. But I have to find a more sustaining balance. I don't want to lose the joy of creating to the stress of performance. I made that mistake before. I hope you are well and that spring is showering you with lots of lovely gifts and moments like it does over here in the Black Forest. Lots of love Lexi
Beautiful and very soothing words. Thank you!😊
Thank YOU for watching my video. 🥰 I hope you have a lovely day 🌲
Thank you for the beautiful scenery, and sharing your life with me. I enjoy watching your many projects. You are a delight! You bring peace and joy to my day 🙂.
Dear Dreamer, thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. I am taking a break from social media at the moment because of personal reasons that's why I didn't get back to you sooner but I truly appreciate you taking the time to comment on my video. It feels good to know that people enjoy it 🥰 I hope you have a lovely day. Love Lexi
I understand your break for social media. That’s a wise choice. Lexi, you are truly a lovely person.
🌲 Lexi

thank you
Dear Dreamer, and a big THANK YOU to you too for watching! 🥰 Greeting from the black forest 🌲 Love Lexi
Please don’t give up on your dream, even if it doesn’t happen next year. Dreams give us hope. They are an expression of our creativity. You are very special. You bless all of us. Thank you
Dear Dreamer, thank you so much for your kind words 🥰 sorry for the delayed answer but I am taking a little time off of youtube at the moment. I am not giving up on my dreams. I agree that they give us hope and some sort of drive and purpose. I just don't want them to turn into nightmares that haunt me because I am not able to fulfill them. That would be very unfortunate. Dreams can change with time which is a blessing but can also be a curse sometimes 🙈😂. I hope you are well. Sending lots of love from the black forest. Lexi
Thank you for reminding me I've been a child once ☺️ and that I still can seek for lightness and fun at this exact moment of my life, Lexi!! 🥹🧡 It really changed my day. Ps: this gotta be one of my fav video here! I feel grateful I can come back to your channel for a friendly cheer up time 🥰
Dear Dreamer, I am so glad you enjoyed this video so much 🥰 I had a lot of fun recording it 🤭😂. I think we all need an occasional reminder not to take life too seriously all the time and that it is okay to play and have fun, be silly and joyful and real. I hope you are well and have a lovely weekend 🥰! Love Lexi
"I deeply appreciate your videos" too <33 watching them in a slower pace but letting all of your thoughts reach me and making me dream again. So happy I've found you & Bray! 🐶🥰
Dear Dreamer, Thank you so much for these kind words. I appreciate you leaving a comment under so many of my videos. I am a little behind on answering at the moment 🙈. Dreams are important because as long as we don't let them turn into nightmares and haunt us they can give us hope and purpose and a direction to walk towards. I hope you are well 🥰 Love Lexi
