I tried painting a velvet chair to look like leather | DIY faux leather chair
Переглядів 19 тис.3 роки тому
Hello everybody! In this video I show you how I painted this velvet vintage chair to look like leather, I've seen a lot of other youtubers ( Lone Fox, DIY Danie, and Jamie and Sarah to name a few!) trying out this DIY fabric to "leather" trend where you take latex paint and mix it with fabric softener, paint it right on the chair {or couch} and it magically ends up looking like faux leather! I ...
Free Dresser Makeover | Boho/Cottage Yellow with DIY butterfly transfers
Переглядів 1,5 тис.3 роки тому
Hello! In todays video I'm doing a furniture makeover on this vintage mahogany dresser, which I found on the side of road ( gotta love when that happens!) I rescued this pretty lady and gave it much needed refresh, I did a custom blended paint finish, added some super cute DIY butterfly transfers and refinished and stained the top. I hope you all enjoy the video and if you liked it please leave...
A Dining Table Makeover / How to Refinish a Kitchen Table
Переглядів 7733 роки тому
Hello everyone! In todays video I'll be sharing how I totally transformed this outdated kitchen/dining table set using spray paint and wood stain. I saved this table from being thrown in the trash and gave it an updated and modern look. This took me about 1 week from start to finish and I'm so happy with how it turned out, so let me know if you enjoyed the video! I'm new to this whole UA-cam th...
Trash To Treasure(s) | Turning a broken table into home décor
Переглядів 703 роки тому
You know what they say.. "One persons trash is another persons one of a kind salvaged antique wood home décor" Okay maybe that's not what they say, but today I'm turning this trashed antique table into two different home décor pieces, that's right, two unique items from one old table. Honestly this took me like three weeks to finish because I really struggled with the table top.. but anyway I h...

Hello ! In this video I'll show you a quick glimpse of how I refurbished this oak coffee table and give it a boho, raw wood finish, and refinished the cane on the bottom to match (without sanding or re-caning!) I found this coffee table on Facebook marketplace for $20 and decided it would look amazing with a brand new look, let me know what you think !
How I do Image Transfers on Furniture | Polyurathane Method | Retold by Rae
Переглядів 904 роки тому
Hi! In this video, I do a super quick demo of how I do image transfers onto furniture using water-based polyurethane. There are many other methods to transfer images to wood, but today I'm showing you my preferred method. It didn't go quite as planned but I think it still turned out nice! You can use this method to transfer printed images onto canvas, wood, metal, etc. If you have any questions...
Looks good. 👍🏻🎃
Great job!
Very cool job!! I have two chairs in my garage that I’m waiting to do but they’re not velvet. Great job.
Did you do a 1:1 ratio? At around 5:43 it looks like you did maybe 3 parts paint to 1 part softener?
A wonderful result that requires a lot of patience to see this beauty
How has it held up? It's beautiful.
Amazing
I was interested until your nasty mouth.
Dude, excellent job on the shading 👍
So cool, thanks for showing how to do this. I picked up some great tips from watching you, plus laughed along the way, you're funny and smart, plus brave to try this. X
Hi, I’m going to be painting a fabric armchair with chalk paint. I’m just wondering is it best to mix paint with fabric softener and water? Also do I need to wax it afterward?
Can you use them for sitting
Someone charged you $20 for that chair?? 🤯 Gurl, nooo! It's a good thing you are so amazing with the DIY skillz because someone did you dirty (literally lol)!
No kidding right! I’ve definitely seen better on the curb. Spray paint was a new one! ❤❤❤
The inspo pic just took me out 🤣🤣
I love this. The chair looks so nice. How has it held up?
You have a cool channel! I can't wait to see more projects from you!
I have one coat of latex paint mixed with Downey on my chair. It has a bumpy pattern & I'm hoping by coat 3 or 4, it will be hidden. Your video is very well done and gives me hope that my chair will actually come out.🙂
Wow this looks amazing is it comfortable to sit on? Thanks for sharing
Beautiful!
Did you use FLAT latex paint? or satin or semigloss or gloss? I see on the cans one is satin and one is gloss. I've seen other use flat. Please advise!
Yes one color was a satin finish, and the other was gloss... I did not notice a difference at all between the two, they both were the same consistency and dried about the same, although the gloss was slightly shinier... I will have to do more experiments with other paints!
I’ve been wanting to try this but was afraid my chair wouldn’t actually end up looking like leather. So I’ve been looking up all videos related. Yours was the most helpful.
Did you end up doing this
I love your video. From a thrift diva-I am concerned you spent $20 for that horrid thing and then spent time fixing it. Gah! $5-10 MAX. Curb finds (depending on your city) and Goodwill. (Goodwill is run by employees who don’t care what things retail for).
I agree $20 was too much! I don't know what I was thinking honestly .. But it looks cool in my bedroom now! Lol .
Nice work!
Lindo.Lindo 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
You better quit with the freehand striping, you're making the rest of us look bad! 😜
Loveeeed it
Loveeewd it
Your auto is messed up...can't hear u
Great job! It turned out beautiful! I can totally see this in a girls bedroom 😍
Thank you!
I hate the color
Hi! You came out in my recommendations, I'm a new DIY creator as well and I gotta say that as I was watching your video I was shouting Nooo! Not the transfers. But I gotta say that it came out awesome! I loved it. Like & Subscribed. 😁
Thank you ! I usually don't do transfers so I wasn't sure how this one was going to turn out!
I love that yellow! How did you mix that?
@@lalaland2870 Right? It's almost like a RETRO yellow. It totally gave the dresser it's own style!😀
@@lalaland2870 I used fusion mineral paint in the color "Little Star" mixed with white and a bit of brown, though I don't remember how much of each.
lol the table top slap got me good!! lol love these videos
thanks, i thought you would like that ..
Love the look. You need a good mic. It’s impossible to hear you.
Thank You! I realized that after uploading ! Working on my camera and mic setup, hopefully my next videos will be an improvement
love these videos, they are so relaxing.
