    Love your property! One day, I’ll get something remotely and big. I live in Montana (moved two years ago from California) and been looking for a snowblower. Someone is selling the Ariens deluxe 28 snowblower, used for around $800 and was wondering whats your take on it and do you feel $800 is a fair price? I was told, the snowblower was used on a small driveway and doesn’t have many hours on it. Almost new. My driveway is about 125 ft long by 25 fr wide. It’s a gravel driveway and I worry about rocks getting inside and breaking my window.

    I switched to using my Bauer electric saw because I buy slab wood and cut it up at home instead of regular cord wood cut out in the woods. I started using it exclusively because of the price ands it readily available here from alot of sawmills in my area. The Bauer electric saw has plenty of power ( as much or more than my 16" gas saw) and it cuts fast, Just keep the chain sharp and the oil tank full and your good to go!

    No need to over think it. It's just a momentary on/of switch. The polarity of the wires doesn't matter.

    I bought a Bauer 16" electric chainsaw a year or two ago. I have cut up three or four cords of wood with it and a Poulan 20" gas saw. Never had an issue starting the Poulan. The Bauer has been very good chainsaw. I cut up some logs 30" in diameter and would run it full depth in the log, and it would cut right through without stalling. Would like a better bar for it because it will vibrate and wobble sometimes. I will use it until it fails, then I will probably go buy another one because it's cheap enough.

    I don't like that you can't run 200 amps with .8 wire. Other than that minor issue it seems to be a decent machine. I see in the comments you can get all 200 amps if you tell it you have 1mm wire loaded so it isn't a big deal. Would love to see you connect an ammeter to the output and compare actual amps to the number on the display. It seems Amps are much smaller in China.

    Weird mine is the opposite has 220 plug and you can neck it down to 120 , wonder if they’ve just recently changed that? Either way I’m very pleased with mine , most ppl don’t say anything about changing the pre and post flow in the settings on the arc captain along w other things, with the machine off , hold the middle button on the right before you turn the machine on and it will come to I think 7or8 diff settings you can change, it’s in the booklet but a lot of ppl don’t mention this

    I got a question i got a vrm vsw vrw its a thousand dollar argon reg now when i set its flow should i set it up to where i want once the gas valve is open or should i depress i the trigger and wat to see where the needle drops which is the rights way to read as the gas is flowing while your welding or just set to the gauge before you hit the trigger kind of confusing but if i rember you want to hit the trigger and see the drop so i run at 30 cause when the tigger is pulled it drops to 25 if that makes sense

      Oh, yes those are fancy. I haven't used them in my shop, I have an old "hand me down one" I haven't played around much with, I'm sure there are more experienced folks you should ask this to, but that said, I agree with your method, you want to set it based on the "trigger drop", that is going to tell you how much is flowing out across the weld. Does yours show in 30psi increments? If so calculating PSI to CFM is going to take some math that is beyond my pay grade. Every reg is different so there is always going to be some variable in the actual amount coming out. There are equipment/gauges to prove how much is actually coming out, but if your in the ball park and your welds look good then I'd say you using it correctly. Gas isn't cheap so I use as little as is needed to make a good weld. Thanks for the comment!

    I just ordered one. They were $139, but had a $20 off coupon going. I own a more capable welder, but using a 220v extension cord, and dealing with a bottle is less than ideal. I've been curious about trying out one of these 115v flux core machines. If it handles up to 1/8" I'll be impressed. Having stick capability is a big plus as well. I tried my son's low cost stick welder, and found the display was reading on the low side (compared to what we are use to), so just turning the power up a bit more helped.

    I bought a Argon bottle-supposedly, but it is slightly smaller than the 580, do you think they sold me a Co2 bottle instead and filled it with Argon? bottle is Blue.

    • @LightaFire_studio
      @LightaFire_studio 9 місяців тому

      All my CO2 bottles are aluminum and grey, have you tried a magnet on the bottle, if it isn't steel it's probably straight CO2. Otherwise I would guess its genuine, (My 100% argon bottles are always Brown where I live, but I've seen AR/CO2's mixes sold in black or green or blue). Hope this is helpful. Really the weld test will prove one way or another what's in it. Thanks for the comment

    I'm about to buy my first tig welder and am trying to decide between this welder and the yeswelder tig-205p. The yeswelder has pulse and a few other features that the arc does not but I like the larger more common dinse and the torch on the arc. Since you own both brands in mig do you notice much of a difference in basic/overall build quality? Functionality? Thanks for any input

    • @LightaFire_studio
      @LightaFire_studio 11 місяців тому

      Hey thanks for the comment! Overall, I think ARC is trying to make thier machines more custom and nicer overall, with a few nice added features like fan on demand, and nice displays (plus welding for dummies right out the box) . But as for their accessories (as in torches, leads, guns,) they leave a lot to be desired. Yesweder has just more experience making machines for the market, but ARC is catching up fast. I've had damaged machines right out the box from both companies, and both are good with customer service, so hopefully that won't be an issues for you. Overall, I'm partial to arccaptian, because I just like the products, and YesWelder, like all the big brands is getting too big for thier britches and quality seems to be suffering. Hands down, the ARC mig 130, the little flux 3 in 1 is still one of my favorite welders in my shop.

      @@jeffgood6441 Don't be affraid of yeswelder they are damn good machines for the price or even more, I have the yeswelder MIG 250 pro SG and the CUT 65DS and they are not bad at all and in a couple ways are BETTER made than my Lincoln 135 in build quality, I know this is an old post but it just pisses me of when some jackwagon like mr walterbarger up there makes some broad B.S. statement with no backing facts and most likely is nothing more than some immature man child dink living in his parrents basement and most likely doesn't know his ass from his elbow about the subject because at best maybe once or twice daddy let him try to run a bead with his old dinosaur AC stick machine, I just happen to own more than a couple welders, (a Lincoln ac225 "tombstone", an Airco 180 stick, Lincoln Mig 135, a very old Mark5 110 ac stick machine that welds like a dream, a yeswelder arc 205 stick machine, the yeswelder 250 pro, and an old Lincoln 250 Ideal arc AC/DC with a high frequency AC/DC tig converter, and also a Miller 225 thunderbolt stick machine, and the yeswelder holds it's own and does a couple things better than any of those others.

    @R.Stridstrom Рік тому

    About the Amp-cap - thats because you only got an adapter for 120/220V - it wont give you the maximum with 120V. And i think you have to set it to 1mm to get it all, also. I have to mention one thing, not meant in a bad way. You guys uses imperial standard, together with Liberia and Myanmar - (even though some companies migrates towards the metric standard these days) and 120V. Like some of America. But the states represent like 4.2% of the world population, so it makes sense that they look at the bigger picture. Maybe you should too ? :) And it will all be fine and dandy.

    I see the Arccaptain claim a minimum TIG amperage of 5 amps, while PDF manual states a minimum TIG amperage of 10 amps. From the video, I take it 10 amps is the minimum. That's about the lowest in this price range, but I'd really like a 5 amp minimum for small, fine work.
