Now a days every diver has a diving computer on their wrest, diving watches are relics , no one really using dive charts anymore especially when it comes to recreational diving . Personally , additionally to my diving computer , i like to have a spare diving watch on my other wrest that has an extra compass as a backup . But in general this is an awesome tough watch 😍

This is the ultimate grab-and-go watch. It's as close to zero maintenance as possible; the only time you need to do anything is to adjust the date window occasionally. It's a legitimate, ISO-certified dive watch, and it looks really cool (I'm partial to the blue version). Eco-Drive makes perfect sense on a dive watch; never having to open the case greatly reduces the potential for a leak. As for pricing, if you're really diligent, you can sometimes get these for well under $175 (like I did). This gets the most wrist time of any watch in my collection.

Excellent honest review. Probably the best review for the Formex Reef as am considering buying the Reef 39mm. Thanks for mentioning about the thickness at the clasp on the rubber strap. Was considering buying one for my Formex Essence so I don’t think I’ll bother now.

I'm an Automatic Seiko guy,and I want one. I bought an auto versionfrom a pawn shop in Enterprise,AL for 92,and got a 5$ discount. No box,no papers. Only drawback is not many colorways. I dont know what Citizen was trying to do with the dial, but they made one look like a st8 up booty hole. I don't want that one.

Thanks for this review. As a retired Submariner I would love to have a watch like this. I'm Enlisted so the Dolphins are the right color but I think some Officers would have a problem with the Silver color Dolphins. Kinda wish there was some kind of representation of Submarines on the dial.

Had my BNO 150 for almost 4 months. I switched out the rubber/neoprene/plastic band for a stainless bracelet. Bracelets specifically made for this model, 150 & 151 can be bought at Long Island Watch. I got the BRAC35 (oyster) style and it matches up perfectly. It really dresses up the watch making it wearable for almost any occasion and ITS WAY MORE COMFORTABLE. Love the watch even more now.

I own a lot of watches, including a few divers. My daily driver is this watch ( blue dial). I live in, and am a native of, South Florida. I spend a lot of time in the ocean ( paddle boarding, snorkeling, surfing and yes....diving). I love this watch for so many reasons: 1.Accuracy. It loses TWO seconds per MONTH. 2. Lume. It's an absolute torch. And it blue lume, which I love. 3. Build quality. This thing is a tank. 4. Looks. Not a bad looking watch at all. 5. Value. You get a whole lot of watch for around two hundred dollars.

Love the fit of it and you can just easily dress it up or down and it works with any outfit possible. I even wear it with my scrubs at work and its just fits. I’m glad you’re enjoying this watch just as much as I am! 😊

Really? For that price, on that watch, anyone would really expect the bracelet to have a clasp with micro-adjustment. That's the minimum requirement. Although the butterfly clasp on this Omega is not as annoying and unreasonable as, for example, on the Longines Conquest.

This is great honest non-sponsored review. No one else seems to talk about the thickness of the rubber but you do and yeah it's so obviously something I would not want under my wrist. Thanks for the heads up on the Barton strap. I think I'll get one of those. I recently bought the Reef GMT and since that's bidirectional it doesn't have the click-spring below the bezel to worry about losing. It means that if I put a dive bezel on it would be bidirectional too (unless i asked them for the click-spring ring which might fit as the case looks the same) but I just use dive bezels for timing poached eggs, timing nachos in the oven, or seeing how long my girlfriend has been in the shower. The only thing I'd like to see them do is have an embossed crown rather than etched.

I bought this watch 5 years ago based on the review from Fratello Watches and love it. I had the regular B-42 cosmonaut for years but love the Monolith's watch face (no numbers on the dial). It also kind of reminded me of a PVD Kobold Phantom at the time, which influenced my purchase decision. Only improvement I can think/suggest is if Fortis used this watch face for their Mars collection and used the orange/vintage lume color. Would be my perfect tool watch. The PVD bracelet color is ever so slightly mismatched with the case so it got replaced 5 years ago with a rubber strap + deployant clasp. You have to really look to see the color mismatch but it bothered me then. A few days ago (5 years later), I haven't worn the watch much in years so I decided to try the bracelet again. Feels like a new watch and PVD mismatch doesn't bother me anymore.
