Duoro Valley Food Adventure: Wine Tasting Tour and Duoro River Cruise, Best Porto Day Trip
Join me, a Travel Chef, for a Food Adventure! The best Foodie Day Trip from Porto, Portugal to the Vineyards of the Duoro Valley, where the grapes for Port wine are grown. We stopped at multiple viewpoints for stunning views of the River Valley, experienced the terraced vineyard riverbanks from a River Cruise, had lunch and a Port wine tasting at a gorgeous vineyard, and stopped for a second tasting and tour through wine cellars and also tasted their honey!
We booked this tour through Get Yor Guide and it was so easy!
Our tour guide picked us up in Porto. My friend and I were joined by two others for a total tour group size of 4! You could do this trip on your own, but honestly, the driving looks a bit scary, so I'm really glad we didn't have to worry about planning or driving or organizing anything! We just showed up and enjoyed ourselves!
Here is the specific tour we booked: getyourguide.tp.st/8YUckxdW

Vigo to Soutoxuste // 11 miles On Day 11 I was so happy to leave the city and get back to the adorable towns and quiet villages I’ve gotten used to on the Camino. Nigran to Vigo // 12 miles On Day 10 I discovered hidden beaches and Spanish sunrises. Now that I’m on the right time zone, I was up for the sunrise 🌅 I also realized it’s easier to get food with a coffee than to actually order it in Spain, thank you siesta! Just kidding. I will just need to persevere😉 Subscribe to FIG TREE TRAVELS to get the TRUTH about walking the Camino. THE PACKING LIST I W...

Oia to Nigran // 12 miles On Day 9, there was a little bit of everything: coastline, mountains, walking on a highway, through small villages, and tons of gorgeous flowers! Everyday is different from the last and I’m glad I don’t know exactly what is coming next. I did light research about what to expect generally, but do not really know much about terrain or special instructions ahead of time. ...

Moledo to A Guarda // 5 miles On Day 7, I had the most stunning day yet. I walked a short distance, but there were so many special moments. Even though I am in a LOT of pain, it’s kinda hard to focus on that when there is so much beauty right in front of me. I’m glad I blazed my own trail and did a slight deviation from the official route so I didn’t miss a minute of this breathtaking coastline...

Yes, there are plenty of places to eat, refill your water bottle, and use the facilities! And I passed tons of locals who were out on their morning walk along the coast. Such an amazing experience. Glad you enjoyed watching :)

I did this Camino with my mom a year ago and something about seeing the names of the cities on my screen made me so happy. Reminded me of me planning our itinerary and mapping out our stays. Thank you for sharing this video!

@@FigTreeTravels Yes! I would love to do another Camino in 2026 (2025 isn’t possible since I’m getting married and that comes with many expenses). I would love to do it with more family since it was such a nice experience with my mom. Let me know if there are any other routes you recommend! :)

@@camilatirado5582 This is the only Camino I've done so far. I'm thinking about maybe the Camino Norte for the next one?
