I remember when I came back after blooping in 1999, speaking enthusiastically about him. I was told " we don't speak about that person any longer!!" This hypocrisy let me a second time 😂

Does anyone remember another ISKCON guru named Visnupad? He initiated many devotees in South Australia during the 1980s. He was based in America (at least he had an American accent) and appeared on several videos promoting Krsna consciousness. No contemporary devotees claim to remember him (although they seem agitated and somewhat embarrassed when I ask about him), and those devotees who were around during the 1980s have all disappeared.

Hoopie Frond, we have not all disappeared, many of us are still around. Although very disheartened when our Guru Bhavananda "Vishnupada" fell down, my husband and I took shelter of Srila Prabhupada and are still serving Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON after 43 years.

I know this because I am watching myself and others. many people are following some rules which are against their nature, and they can look like a like a dead or robots, without smile and song on their lips...just judgments and/or sadness

This is tipical try to put all the blame on the others. Harikesh posed himeself as a pure vaisnav and an acariya and we trusted him. We ahd ful faith in him because at that time he convinced us he was following Srila Prabhupada strictly. However, he left us bitterly dissapointed after he spat on Prabhupad and evreything he was living for 28 years., Of corse. We let ourselves dissapointed because we where naive. Now we are smarter and wiser. we will never let him dissapoint us again!

Dear meerswami, whoever you are, At first I thought you titled this video in this way to make a point that leaving ISKCON is equivalent to dying or something, but now I think that you just may not realize that "in memory of" is normally used for diseased people. I don't know where you are from, but check your English dictionary. It would be a good idea to change the title of this video, if you didn't mean to proclaim him dead. It's just weird otherwise. Boris Popovich it is clear by the dates 1947-1998 that this title is taunting and cynical towards vishnupad's abandonment of ISKCON in 1998 yet at the same time celebratory of his achievements. In other words, the poster knew exactly what they meant with this title
