    I, Brittas boyfriend, am german and in german museums and castles/ palaces i have seen lots of armour pieces from 1500 to 1600. Such semi- full armour was only used by officers, and most helmets ( socalled Deutsche Sturmhaube) had no visor.

    This is amazing to watch. I'm curious what they would have used, instead of batting, historically. Felted wool? Is there also a version that's just a bunch of layers of linen?

      The Chinese would stuff their jackets with wool straight from the sheep as it contained lanolin and thus would protect against fire arrows.

    You really should've added a ruler or something for size reference; it's impossible to tell their size or thickness in this. I know the sample pack is only one dollar, but it really helps when the advertisement displays the product well and makes a good pitch.

    The top of the helmet looks like mostly soft material? If so wouldn't it be unsafe to use with steel training swords?
