Too general. Not all programs are written in basic. Few programs are written in BASIC even back when this was made. Too slow. Most at that time were written in Assembly. Now most are written in either HTML, Java, Rust, one of the C Languages, or Python.

Scooter Computer had a falling out with Mr. Chips after porn arrived on the internet. Instead of crunching numbers, all Scooter wanted to do was the old knuckle shuffle on his skin flute. Eventually Mr. Chips was so full of malware and viruses that he' had to break up with Scooter just so he could feel healthy again. It's a tragic story.

Though I've been around computers for a while myself this really helps get a better understanding of how to communicate with it so by me typing it decifers the letters as binary code

And now, we have legit AI. Had this rattling around in my head for years, & finally needed to search it out. Every time I saw those old black disks, I recalled Chips eating them up, & wondering what they must've tasted like.

I smiled when this song mentioned making art with numbers. That's how we got pixel art and video game sprites and graphics after all, and on a larger scale on mainframes and workstations, we even started to make 3D art and animations. When music was mentioned, my first thought was the Fairlight CMI which does the same thing with short samples, but it could also make me think of simple tunes playing on an old msdos games or elaborate songs made on a Commodore 64, or even the introduction of MIDI controllers in the 80s! Nowadays, we can do a lot more on computers. Realistic 3D graphics, editing songs recorded in the highest quality, watch videos, listen to online radio stations or podcasts. It's amazing to think of how far we've come, or even how far computers have come since the mid 2000s when I started watching youtube and downloading songs for my mp3 player as a kid.

When a song about computer technology somehow turns into a philisophical song about the humanity of computers. And the wildest thing, it was more than likely all coincidental/accidental. From what I read even the songwriters had to do some research on computer stuff beforehand.

So why have so many reputable newspapers run articles about dangers of artificial intelligence becoming more powerful than humans and someday in some way(s) taking us over against our wishes? I think also the computer is named Mr.Chips to remind parents of the target demographic of "Goodbye Mr. Chips."
