I fitted an ASR Exhaust Flap Module to my SLK55. I need to do a further video comparing the sound with the Flaps operating normally and with the flaps fully open. I also need to pick a better spot with less passing traffic.

I attended the show organised by the PetrolHedonism Club and Calvin from Calvin's Car Diary. The video shows Calvin arriving with his M5 which he promised to get to the show even if it was not able to get there under its own power.

You just need to spend a couple of quid on a Golf R blanking connectors and hey presto, valves permanently open. Did it to mine. Love it
I bought those first off. The sound when the car used Cylinder deactivation was a droning horrible noise. As I wanted to continue using cylinder deactivation these connectors which keep the exhaust valves permanently open were taken straight off. With the ASR flap controller I have the flexibility to open and close the flaps when I want to.

Hi, this 480 turbo looks to be in very good shape, I’ve an 88 red 480 turbo, my parents bought it new 1990, today I fired up first time in 4 years, one thing I noticed is that both doors electrical windows motor works, but the windows they’re stuck, probably an aging thing.
I may be getting an slk 55 soon and was wondering what are some things you like and dislike
Mine is a 2012 R172 SLK55. What I like is the sound, the power 420 Bhp and Torque 540 Nm. It is rare only 500 UK and 3500 worldwide. it is economical and returns 35mpg in ECO mode using cylinder deactivation on a run at motorway speeds.. With all 8 cylinders it is exhilarating and is not far off Supercar performance It gets admiring looks and is fun to drive. It is a hard top convertible. I have no real negatives.

I got the number plate, drivers name, his address using a combination of Facebook and 192.com. My Insurers and the Police have been given all of this info and will also be supplied with this footage. All it needed was for him to seek me out and tell me what had happened. As he didn't I have no sympathy for him.
