The Battle of Antietam, fought on September 17, 1862, near Sharpsburg, Maryland, was the bloodiest single-day battle in American history. Union General George McClellan faced off against Confederate General Robert E. Lee. The battle ended in a tactical draw, but Lee's retreat gave the Union a strategic advantage.
Around 87,000 Union troops fought against approximately 38,000 Confederates. The battle resulted in about 22,717 total casualties, including around 3,650 killed, 17,300 wounded, and 1,770 missing or captured.

Just a bit of a montage I put together with 2012 windows movie maker software lol. Pretty amateur stuff so don't hate.
Skip to: 27:00 as the Union AI spends quite a bit of time doing nothing, hence the length of this particular upload. This battle is relatively easy as the Confederates. I was also assisted by the AI seemingly holding it's troops back (I presume it gauged that my strength was too great so never really attacked). Held the two bridge crosses against Burnside, meaning I could hold the bulk of my troops at the Sunken Road and Dunker Church. Eventually, after the Union had wasted many men on frontal attacks, I enveloped the opposing forces in a pincer movement to seal the battle, and reward us with generous captured weapons from which to supply our armies. A point of note after recently having completed a Union campaign: CSA battles are more difficult because you HAVE TO push hard in almost every battle and inflict as many losses against the Union colossus. In most of the major campaign battles as the CSA I've probably taken upwards of 30-35% losses in a single corps whereas in my Union playthrough with a larger army, I could still limit losses to just 15-20%. Additionally, the Union economy is ridiculous (Historically accurate lol) by 1862-63 you'll have upwards of 100-120 guns of 24 Pounders and 20 Pounder artillery as the Union whereas in this engagement I had two 15 gun batteries of 24 Pounders. This is one of the reasons I think this game is a gem, the camp/economy is one aspect of the game and directly influences the 2nd aspect of the battlefields.

Hey mate, thanks for watching! To answer: I don't tend to comment on videos as I prefer descriptions. Maybe I will do it in future to make it more personalised! Also the 1850 men and 15 arty is related to a unit optimisation guide I saw years ago. At those sizes, they are the most efficient in terms of their stats, any lower/higher they fall off too much. So they are the sweet spot. It also assists in avoiding Unit Scaling from the CSA (The more men you have on field, the more men the AI will have).

Hey there, all fine to use this video. Situation is a black SUV crossing road to get to opposite road via merging lanes. (Don’t know too much road terminology lol). This person ultimately completely misjudged their approach and got T-Boned by another vehicle. (Black 4x4 with bullbars). Fortunately no one was hurt, driver of black SUV was very shaken. Probably a write off. All airbags deployed from what I saw.
