    Good Job. I have to replace my element and water coming out the back of the tank was my concern. I thought element is lower than drain so residual water would leak all over once I remove heating element. Another UA-camr explained you have to remove hot water heater in order to not make a mess with water. Your video shows that's not the case. Thanks

    Why are you drilling a hole in your equipment? Do you know there’s an open groove on the other side of the awning that you can just slide it into, right? It takes literally two seconds.

    Protip: If you are using a metal J box, after you connect the wires to the outlet and tighten the connections, wrap electrical tape around "back" of the outlet, so it covers all the screws.

    I just replaced the pull down strap on my class A following your method. A 1/4 inch drill bit and I was in business! I did however have to lightly tap the plastic into the channel but it's hardly worth mentioning. Anyway, it worked great. Thanks for the video.

    I noticed that you have a shark bite check valve on your hot water line. Do you also have one on the cold water line? Mine has to be serviced from under my coach and it is incredibly difficult to access or frankly even see any details. Can you tell me which way your arrows are pointing on the check valve(s).

    You should have used either a strain relief fitting or a bushing in the metal box, particularly because these wires will be subject to constant vibration. Since you did not independently ground the box, this is a potentially lethal repair. A plastic box would have been a much better choice in this case.

    I've always considered myself pretty darn mechanically inclined, but never thought about drilling a 1/4" hole in the strap channel and then turn the drill at an angle to elongate the hole to make it so easy to pry the old strap out and then slide the new strap right in. You saved me at least 1 day,if not 2 days to install the new straps. Instead it took me about an hour to put together all the tools I needed and complete the project, thanks for sharing this. Jim

    So thankful and happy for this YT video. I got the part and it worked. I used a Dremel tool as someone suggested to get the old one off. I used it on the new one to shave a little of the top layer of the new one so I could get the pivot thing, whatever it's called, over the plunger. Yeah, it worked and I did it all by my little ol self. LOL!!

    That is so cool! I've always loved ceiling fans, both for function AND for the look! I've seen RV ceiling fans enclosed in a protective grille, which is understandable, but with me being only 5"7 and my wife 5'6" I would definitely opt for this style of ceiling fan, when we eventually get our RV (hopefully in 2-3 years). Excellent video, and very nice fan!

    GREAT VIDEO. I have been fighting this linen closet that is backed up to a fireplace. My bedding smells awful musty. I have tried everything. Finally. I moved the bedding and putting something else in that cabinet. I put Kinlz in there and it worked great for a year, now the smell is back. I did put Damprid in it and it works! (there was water in them) Is there a suggestion you can give me to get rid of this permanently?

      Not really. Open the doors and use a small fan or heater to help dry it out. Try to see if there is a leak somewhere but it is probably just from humidity.

    Are you able to get 12v through a regular home outlet? It's my understanding that regular home outlets will not work with the 12v side of power as RV outlets do.

    • @rvingdiynewbietopro4825
      @rvingdiynewbietopro4825 2 роки тому

      Layne, Thank you for your question. No you would not use 120 volt outlet for a 12 volt system. It would be very dangerous to plug in a DC voltage unit into a AC voltage plug. This action would destroy whatever you plugged in. All 12 volt DC lights and devices are normally hard wired in to the 12 volt system.
