There really is no reason to hate this RC car. Traxxas haters just love to hate, and crawl out of the woodwork every time someone says anything positive about them. Truth is, I’ve seen this Maxx slash reviewed on dozens of channels on here, even Kevin Talbot. And they drive and bash the daylights out of it and it takes so much abuse. Personally it’s not for me, just a preference thing. I like the monster truck and stadium truck platforms better. But this thing is a tank, and one of the best, most durable bashers on the market.

I do both control arms in 35 minutes and we usually charge about 6 hours for both . Lexus tech here 👍🏽

One of my dream RCs. I think it gets hate because it doesn't handle as well as some of its competitors, but it seems to be plenty of fun and extremely durable. Im a huge fan of larger short course trucks like the Arrma Mojaves and stuff. I gotta add this one to the collection

Good tip of the day… but the question is does your shop charge the book time so you hit a massive payday, or do they pay actual time?

Toyota dealer quoted my mom $2458 to replace both lower control arms. I laughed and told her to decline the work and I'll do it for her. 2 hrs later and her car is back on the Road For $2000 less than what the dealer quoted.

Make sure you keep all those RC car batteries in a shed away from the house. It's a fire Hazzard. Another tech had some of these batteries catch his house on fire. Minimal damage it seemed, until you look at the smoke damage. Plus the fire department cut a hole in the roof to put it out! Lot of water damage. Took a year to repair.

They call them stealerships for a reason dont know why they go by book hours robbing people money

“Unrealistic” is a sad excuse to call someone organized. I’m a professional mechanic and have been so for 10years every night before going home. My tools get cleaned and back in their place and the box gets a wipe down if it is dusty or dirty. It is that simple. Build good habits to keep organized and you will be more efficient. Organize, plan, execute. In that order. This allows you to focus on work and not on finding that tool.

Can't you look at a tire and tell it wore out or dry rot and needs replacing? What sort of college graduate is running that damn shop 🤭 Next thing you know some aftermarket warranty company will want you to tear an engine down right after you told them it has a rod knocking and needs a new engine. Power balance test has confirmed 100% needs a fukng engine. Then he will say but we will pay you to pull the engine and tear down. Yeah, they might pay you 4 hours when it takes a day and half and makes a big freaking mess that you also have to clean up. Then you got to reassemble the pile of junk. There's a lot of idiots running shops these days.

You measure a tire in 3 places, center right and left shoulders. That way u can gauge suspension issues too
