Slower line but fastest run?? WORSCCA Points Event 6
I ran my 1992 Corvette at the Western Ohio Region SCCA Autocross Points Event #6 at Kilkare Speedway on 8/11/2024.
I definitely left some time on the table at this event… I tried the different line through the first optional slalom on this final run but my data showed this was the slower option. Notice how I’m over a tenth of a second behind after that element because I took the left side instead of the right. So even though this was my fastest run, it could’ve been faster! Still having ABS issues but it was working a little better in the afternoon session.

Brake issues all day... WORGAMES Day 2

I ran my 1992 Corvette at the Western Ohio Region SCCA Autocross Points Event #5 at Kilkare Speedway on 7/21/2024. Day 2 of WORGAMES autocross challenge. Struggled with brake issues all day. Bled the brakes in the morning because they got squishy from autocross the day before. They got squishy again after the morning runs. Then ABS kept turning off during the afternoon runs.

I ran my 1992 Corvette at the Western Ohio Region SCCA Autocross Points Event #2 at Kilkare Speedway on 5/19/2024. I've never seen so many cones hit... They said, not including DNFs, 412 cones were hit. My right front tire temperature sensor disconnected... ohh well

I ran my 1992 Corvette at the Western Ohio Region SCCA Autocross Test and Tune at Kilkare Speedway on 4/14/2024. First time out with my DIY tire temperature sensors. As you can see, the front left sensor was having connection issues.

Short clip of my spin out at the 2023 CincySCCA track day at Mid Ohio during the session after rain came through. Was going pretty slow but I waited too long to brake so I was still braking when I started the turn. This was my first track day but still wanted to get some experience on a wet track.

I ran my 1992 C4 Corvette at the National Museum of the United States Air Force for the MVSCC Autocross Points Event #4 on 9/10/2023. This is my final run of the day so i was having a little fun and took the targa top off. 2nd place in the A class and 5th overall fastest time!

I ran my 2019 Civic Type R at the Cincy SCCA fun event at Trader's World International Speedway on 9/3/2022. This is my best run of the day at 45.161. I am running Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on stock wheels and Hawk HPS Street brake pads, otherwise fully stock.

Seemed like both the red C4s had brake lockup issues last weekend! Any ideas what the issue is?
The other c4 doesn't have ABS at all, it's been removed. I'm thinking I got air in my master cylinder because I've had to bleed my brakes after every autocross this year. I'm going to bench bleed it to see if that helps.

Your instructor should be telling you to stick to the wet line. Driving where all of the rubber is will be slick in the wet.
He explained that during my warm up lap. The track was drying out and I was getting more confident but ended up pushing it too hard.
😂 @0:30 because safe and no damage. I think it is fun to watch spins and oops videos (again, when no damage) and I also post up the ones I have witnessed or participated in. Keep safe out there and thanks for posting! I think you learn the most in wet-track driving. Keep it up!
Yeah I was there to learn so I didn't want to skip out on a session just because it was a little wet. I learned a good lesson here, fortunately without hitting anything.
