    Tired of being directed to what is obvious, by others because I am a fan. Basketball is not rocket science although every color of expert would have us to believe it is. We know what stats are, flagrants are, basketball fouls are, we know it is a contact sport. We fans are not near as concerned with whether CC goes to the Olympics as the herd promotes. I do not think that a high value target as CC should in an unsafe place as France. Let DT have her last gasp and she will be just as well known as she was before she lit into the whole rookie thing. I thought she was irrelevant years ago. Griner is a man raised as a girl. Russia put him in the male prison. They should know as they strip search. The only thing we fans do care about is the monetary gains just sitting on the bench would bring. The one not giving a crap about it is CC. Since she was little she has been all about balling. That is eleven years now that many of us have watched her. Just a fan of womens bb.😂

      I understand some of your frustrations. That being said I won't go as far as to say Brittney was placed in a men's prison. The interview said one guard was trying to and the other guard (spoke in Russian) stopped them and said put her in women's. Like you said if the strip search and KNEW she was a man that wouldn't have happened. If one guard just looked and assumed it appears the one who KNEW placed her with women. True fans should root for Team USA no matter who is or isn't on team. It's very hard to get a spot 😔 n a 12 player team. It's ok. CC will make several teams. Guaranteed...... Thanks for commenting. The worst stat that Caitlin have , and most people don't understand, and don't want to understand is her point differential, for those of you who don't understand what that mean is, - how many points you score, subtracted by the points of the person you are guarding at the time while in the game, CC have the worst ratio of any player in the WNBA, at this time, meaning, if you score 12 points, and your opponent who you are guarding , score 15, that mean your plus or minus is a minus 3, last i checked, CC was a minus 7, PGA, that people , reflect poor defence, if not for those 2 30 pt games, she would be a atrocious minus 11, PGA.

      @@GDSportsNetwork I appreciate your open-mindedness. but I wonder why people make the points that "she has the best stats cause she shoots the most" (or, relatedly, that she has a lot of turnovers). I'm a newbie, so I can't compare her to anyone before last year's WNCAA, but it seems to me that CC has always tried to balance her own shooting (and stats), with passing and building the team. if she were all about just shooting, she wouldn't be passing to her teammates -- but she sees that as her job, to assist. and she's got the stats to prove it. and if she were just chucking the ball at the net, she wouldn't be scoring that much. is she GOAT, either last year in college let alone this year? no, definitely not. but I don't see how people say "she's not that good." though (totally unrelated except it drives me crazy) could people please STFU about their pet conspiracy theory? if you want to educate me about coaching and sold-out crowds and how much money is at stake, I appreciate it. when you want to tie everything in to being "woke" or white or straight or deliberately trying to sabotage CC's career, well I need some pretty convincing evidence, not just somebody ranting online. but yeah, not sure what her coach is thinking. and very curious what she tells CC, and how CC takes it.

    • @GDSportsNetwork

      I can only speak for me. The reason I bring up stats is because some fans make it seem as though she never misses a shot. Let them tell it the only reason they lose is because she didn't shoot enough. Reality check she shoots a lot and she misses a lot she is very inefficient. That doesn't mean she's not a great overall player. I just get tired of people making it seem as though she makes 100% of her shots. Any comments rooted in her being white or straight I don't entertain.

    • @outsidethegarden
      @outsidethegarden 4 дні тому

      @@GDSportsNetwork -- it's probably because I'm totally clueless, but I don't understand "inefficient." does that mean (you think) anyone could get her 3-pt stats if they just shot enough? then why don't they? and if she's being really inefficient with her shooting, how does she have time to do so well with assists? she's gotten a LOT of attention, so she must be doing something right: if she's inefficient, or a ball-hog, or has way too many turnovers, well that's apparently balanced by SOMEthing. I mean, of course she's not 100% efficient, of course she misses a lot of shots -- but more than other people with her stats? I have no idea, so please enlighten me. and no, she wasn't perfect last year. and of course in the WNBA she's going to have a steep learning curve. and yes, her rabid fans are just being silly. I wish there were more people like you, to make reasonable points, and defend them and explain them, so us newbies could try to make sense of this whacko WNBA world. I've got whiplash, going from "she's the GOAT, the salvation for WNBA, she should lead the Olympics team!" to "she's a fake, she can't do anything, nobody likes her." WTH? there's like zero overlap between these two points of view. are we talking about the same person?

      @GDSportsNetwork 4 дні тому

      3 pts made she's 6th in the league 3 pt % she's 30th. Those are just the facts. That means that if 29 other players shot as many as her but they make them more often that their stats would be higher. I'm not anti CC. I just tell the truth. She needs to develop more You're right. She passed a lot. She has a lot of assist. Unfortunately she averages 6 assist and 5.5 turnovers. You can't have an even assist to turnover ratio. Again I'm not hating on her. I'm rooting for her but people who ONLY praise her are not helping her get better. The truth tells you where you are and how you can get where you want to be. Lol. I agree. My base appreciates the effort I put in because many of my viewers live at distances that they can't come physically see the game. If you watch on a phone you usually have a decent viewing experience. If you're watching on a laptop or TV then yes it's not the best. How are you watching? I'd love to upgrade equipment eventually. As you can see my channel lists ZERO ways that I can receive monetary donations. All I ask for is for people to subscribe. With subscriptions eventually there should be an income source and I'll invest in my channel. Now if YOU would like to be the first to donate to my channel I'll gladly accept that. • @GDSportsNetwork

  • @larrybrewer
    @larrybrewer 5 днів тому

    If they never pass the the ball once it gets past half court, she won't score many points. It does make it easier for the other players when the defense focus is to stop the outside shots. Clark is double teamed to get the ball out of her hands.

    • @GDSportsNetwork
      @GDSportsNetwork 5 днів тому

      She still leads the team in shot attempts, points, assists, and turnovers so we can't make it seem like they've completely taken the ball out of her hands. If they run the offense through Aaliyah Boston they can't double team the perimeter so easily. They have to trust the process. CC's greatest error in my opinion is not shooting too much, turning ball over (w effort passes), or taking bad shots. I believe her greatest error so far is consistently taking the ball into the corners right into double teams. She's not at Iowa anymore. These women are taller, faster, and have longer wing spans. She's getting swallowed up. She needs to stay in space. That's her super power. Give ball up (like Steph Curry) and get it back in a better position to shoot. Thanks for commenting. Also, you mentioned that it was great because sides set up an offense that made Boston comfortable. Which is great happy she did well. I have been a big fan of hers and hope it continues. I will ask, why has Sides not tried to scheme or run an offense all season that makes Clark comfortable and plays to her strengths? I have watch CC a long time and can tell you either Sides has no clue HOW, or doesn’t care to even try, when she has consistently played CC towards every single negative in her game vs positive. There are a ton of examples I could use but it’s not need- the truth is Sides doesn’t know how to run the type of offense the Warriors and a Steph type would need and they sold CC a bill of goods saying they would, they should trade CC or get a better coach.

Clark could've jump started that evolution. But it looks increasingly like she won't have that opportunity as so much of the old guard in the WNBA - coaches and players - are in love with bully ball. The Fever is exhibit A, but I'd say most teams in the league look down on all that. I constantly hear this or that refrain about the "fundamentals." Okay, fine. But they ish is boring. I believe the bigs inside were having problems learning how to receive the passes of someone like CC. U of S Carolina went through same growing pains getting used to the amazing passes of Milaysia Fulwiley. Yes. I stated Aaliyah being comfortable because a big can't do anything unless someone gets them the ball. If they are going to bang down low on both sides they do deserve an occasional bone to score. It simply helps keep them feeling appreciated. Guards bring the ball up court so if CC wants to jack a logo 3 she can without anyone doing anything for her. Now I understand running sets to help free her are ideal but she can shoot logo 3s at will. You know? Trust and believe things will start to get better. Remember they played 11 games in 20 days. They never really practiced. It can only get better from here. I respect your analogy to playing more like Steph. However there are two MAJOR differences. 1 Curry never played w Shaq (Aaliyah is a beast in her own right). The offense must cater to BOTH of them. 2 If you notice often times Steph does not bring ball up court. That frees him up from being harassed 94ft. It also allows him to come off screens. If you noticed they have started taking her off the ball at times. I believe they are "trying" different things in game (since they couldn't practice). They'll get better soon. Trust me. Now if a player is strictly a ball hog and refuses to move the ball then I can see how they'd be left off. The men's team even got the best out of ball dominant players like Carmelo Anthony and James Harden. If a player can't be a TEAM player then you should notice that in tryouts/training camp. Then leaving them off is understood. I'm lost on your Griner comment.... I think Candace is a great player. Unfortunately when you're trying to squeeze hundreds of players down to 12 surely someone deserving is going to be left off. I don't mind a great player being left off. I more care when a non deserving player is given a spot. How can college achievements not count if that's all you have (I e. Christian Laettner). Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe.

    Announcer: "there must have been an angle that we can't see." Yes, there is. It's called a biased angle.

    I will not watch one Olympic female basketball game. Because of B. Griner on the team. And the fact they are petty and jealous.

      I understand you're not a fan of Griner for your reasons BUT why not support TEAM USA? Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe.

    From what i understand Chelsea Gray hasn't played this year, so maybe she would be another player.

      I thought I heard that. If that's a fact then it's borderline criminal to take a player that hasn't shown up for her employer and reward her with an Olympic spot. It's NOTHING personal. It's just there are only 12 spots. Take the 12 best and move forward. Don't take favorites. It would be a slap in the face to me as an owner to be told you can't play for me but if team USA comes calling you're ready for duty. Smh Thanks for commenting. Please like and subscribe.
