Started off as a part time merchandiseer, then full time then to counter sales then night manager then asst mgr trainee before i realized 1) you'll never make any real money with them 2) its just another dead end job full of lies and management (store level and beyond) that doesn't give a rat's ass about their employees I basically ran the store I was in and didn't have the title or pay. I had hundreds of hours of training, ASR & Dupont certifications and i was getting nowhere. I worked 60+ hrs a week and didn't get many days off because nobody else wanted to woek. I got tired and moved on. Overall a bad company to work for.

Hey there this video is right on as to wut u do as a delivery driver for O'Reilly. I've been doin this for 2 years and this job is pretty sweet the hours are pretty gravy the latest i work is till about 6 they let u wear shorts if ur a driver but the front counter peeps gotta wear jeans and they call u a dweeb for wearing shorts haha and u can bump ur tunes in the truck when u drive sometimes the shops yell at u when ur late delivering but they're pretty chill cuz u just a kid

How to order

I applied for this position as my last job was driving and they hired me and put me in the retail parts counter. Have never even made a delivery once. They false advertised me.

I work for oriellys and my manager keep forcing me to speed around town to drop off parts. Very unsafe practice. I dont feel comfortable speeding because I want to make it home to my family safe and in one peace. Its like no matter how fast I get a part to its destination there my manager continues to tell me to drive faster. It truly sucks because no matter how hard I work I'm never told that I'm doing a great job. I'm only told to drive faster. Most of the employees there have gotten too many points on there license to drive any more from being forced to drive faster and faster. I dont want to end up like them being that I have commercial drivers license which jeopardizes other opportunities that pay way more than 11 dollars an hour. I'm at store 777 in forrest city ar. If it wasnt for that it would be a great job. I honestly love what I do. It's just the pressure from being told to speed around to deliver parts is my only concern. If this doesnt stop I'm going to quit

Came to Pasadena California in 1956 , never heard of O'Reilly or had the opportunity to visit one . Ever auto parts store has it's pros and cons. I understand with so many models the stores can't stock everything .

It seems like the oreilly stores in my area like toying with me, i applied to store retail, delivery driver positions, and they always tell me the positions won't be filled, or they call me only to hang up in my face i called them 3 times only to get hung up on.

Dumb question, but can someone who isn't mechanically inclined do this job?

I always use O'reillys if I can. I know the staff does go thru bad times. I got stuck in line behind a guy that had bought some expensive part. He called and said it didn't fit and was told he could have a refund. His argument was he wasn't told to bring the old one back on the phone, so he wanted his money back with no return. The poor kid was on the phone trying to relay messages back and forth. The buyer whipped out a business card saying he was a "private investigator" and said "don't make me investigate this" Another guy came to the counter and rang me out. They were still arguing when I left. Total BS and scam, but that's what happens at times.
