I decided to pre record a whole short series. By the end of it my voice was giving out and you can tell. This is also the easy one to upload as it is the only one with a natural cut. After this I need to watch all 3 hours of remaining footage to make cuts manually. I hope you like it and dont forget to leave a like comment and subscribe and let me know if in the future you want me to do more of...

The music is great but the pictures are a joke.
How do you figure
What do you think
Even as a conservative this song is a bop
Itt a Szabad Európa Rádió! This is Radio Free Europe, Radio Liberty!
FDR used “Happy Days” for his election theme song, but TR had “There’ll Be A Hot Time In The Old Town Tonight” for the theme of his Rough Riders outfit in the Spanish-American War.
Off course, happy days with Carter - what, are you mental? You must be...!!!
@@TimothyEdwards-gp2vd in retrospect he was decent, any person who could have been president at that time of any party wasn't winning reelection. And it didn't help that when it came to things like the hostage crisis the Republicans actively sabotaged negotiations and made things worse for political gain.
No Reagan Or Bush Or President Trump??? All Democratic! I Can’t Be Happy!
Theodore Roosevelt and Eisenhower were included and are Republicans. But the ones you listed were not good for us.
Yes because this song is specifically associated with the Democratic Party
an excellent revival of a historical political oldie used for a modern campaign, 88 years apart no less! a very nice slideshow too! reminds me of the old style of such that I love. good work indeed :)
Yes! We have to promote this throughout for inspiration esp. with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz' campaign! 💙🩵🇺🇸🩵💙
Why does this sound like a threat
Get a life!!!!!
They were tempting the wrath from high atop the thing!
Everyone needs to go outside and curse!!!!!
@@rudyjuarez4535 also turn around three times and spit.
JFK would be considered a right wing radical by today's Donkeys. Just a bunch of communists now.
If any Democrat from the past were transported to the modern day they would be condemned as hateful right wingers. Even 2008 Obama said marriage is between a man & a woman. Now they can't even say that men & women are different
FyoutubeFjb!
A wonderful presentation that really makes world war 2 very easy to understand for people of all ages really. This should be mandatory viewing in all United States history classes
Thank you FDR without you none of us would be here
You are showing the wrong Roosevelt in the beginning! That is Teddy Roosevelt, a Republican! He was a progressive Republican and very leftist/liberal for his times. But he was no Democrat! His fifth cousin, Franklin Delano Roosevelt of course was a Democrat. The song Happy Days are here Again was the unofficial anthem of the Democratic Party when he ran for President in 1932, and throughout his administration, and remains the unofficial anthem of the Democratic Party today.
I know, I also don't care about party I care about if he's a liberal or not. TR stays. And it's the reason why I also chose a photo that has Ike in it too.
@@stratagama Okay fair enough. But the song was not written until 1930, so it would have been too late for Teddy.
@@eddihaskell you very much are missing the point, if it weren't for the fact that I don't have enough song I would have gone all the way back as far as John Adams. So I decided to limit myself to 20th century and 21st century presidents. Woodrow Wilson is absent as the man is a terrible clot of a human
It wasn't because the allies had captured the enigma machine that they could read Germany's mail but they had learned how to solve the settings of the keys thereby get the plain text messages. The Enigma machine by itself was worthless.
I don't know it if was true or not, but I read in a local history book about The American fortifications on the Island of Newfoundland (then, a British colony, not yet part of Canada) A German sub ran into trouble right in front of the fort and were forced to surface in plain view in broad day light on a nice sunny day for about 20 minutes to fix a problem on board. They knew the gun installments were there and assumed they were dead men and couldn't believe they weren't fired at during the ordeal. As it turns out, to save money, during clear weather, the fort didn't run radar equipment and just relied on visual scanning. So basically, nobody was looking! probably playing cards or something! Hahaha
I had to listen to this song when I heard that Jon Stewart was coming back to hosting the Daily Show.
You left out Coolidge and Reagan . Reagan was our most successful Christian President and we had happy days during his optimistic presidency . We did not have happy days during the pessimist , Jimmy Carter's presidency .
No they were omitted intentionally. They are not good presidents and should not be remembered as such. Particularly Reagan as he weakened our secular government and put the country in a precarious financial situation that his successors had to deal with. If there are to be any more Republican additions to this list you could arguably add Eisenhower or possibly Nixon or Ford. But for it is definitely the last Republican who could earn a place on this list.
Ronald Reagan is our most successful Christian President . The reason that the extreme left lies and tries to re - write Regan's presidency is because if they can tear down his presidency , then that makes it all the easier for them to achieve their goal , to turn America into a godless atheist Marxist nation. America is not an atheist nation . Keep atheism out of our government and out of our schools .@@stratagama

I had the hornor to be a Corpsman assigned to Adm Gallery and he signed a few of his books. He is truly a hero. I toured his 505 in Chigago. Why was the Brishe flag showed? Enemies became friend. Only governements is are the anemy
We will never surrender Churchill said. But to be an island helped England to resist. Without that England would have surrendered like everybody else.
That's an incredible video. Having the first hand accounts in it blew me away. Who would go into a likely mined sinking enemy sub??!? Sorry I have to sit this one out. Men like that are what makes America great.
They did NOT call it "Blitzkrieg" , no matter how often this nonsense is repeated...
Damn those Germans for wanting a sovereign central bank and currency. We showed them! USA! USA!
What are you even going on about...
In 1942, another ship also captured a sinking U-Boat: U-559. Tow men were trapped after handing the codebooks to the men above and went down with the sub. The British ship, Bulldog, caught the first Enigma in 1941, so don't trust the movie, "U-571"- they lie and say the US was first. No doubt the heroes in this film had every reason to fear boarding that sub-, but they volunteered anyway. No wonder they needed booze afterward! You are right to mention UBlock Origin (above in description)- I NEVER have ads or security problems with it and you do nothing at all- it just WORKS! These men are such heroes, and this was done so well, especially having Bill Curtis narrate. The photos of the many smiling men & women were wonderful, too.
no idea why you only have 195 subscribers. This was very enjoyable.
This is admittedly not my content. This is a documentary produced by the museum of science and industry in Chicago where the submarine is displayed. This was produced for a DVD special about 20 to 30 years ago
Even the map of Germany is trunked, what to think about it ? If they do not know how Germany looked alike, what else do they know? Not much: cheap propaganda.
an enigma machine and codes that were captured early in the war by the British. This worked for a whil until DO The gloom was only lifted after the seizing of a U-boat, U-559, with her codebooks on 30 October 1942, 75 years ago, enabled Bletchley Park to break the code once again.
9 May 1941 German submarine U-110 was a Type IXB U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine that operated during World War II. She was captured by the Royal Navy on 9 May 1941 and provided a number of secret cipher documents to the British.
Pas Staline ???????
Thank you, excellent video, JV
Thank You so much for a fine presentation!
Just visited and toured it this past weekend. Wonderful experience and great to have it preserved. Our tour guide was a real pro, too.
It was a tragedy that they let the amazing ship Enterprise be sold for scrap metal. Admiral Halsey tried to raise $ to save her, but after the war, nobody would spend the money needed. You are lucky you got to see such a thing!
I remember my dad taking me as a young boy to go on tour through the U-505 when it was parked outside the museum some time in the mid to late 1950s.
One of my favorite phrases regarding the Battle of the Atlantic is how the "Hunter became the Hunted". That phrase is used in every single u-boat documentary, as it is absolutely perfect.
Look deeper into this. This was a total waste of resources because there was already an enigma machine and codes that were captured early in the war by the British. The Captian disobeyed his orders and was almost courts marshaled for disobeying orders to sink the sub, not to capture it. And he should have been because of the lives he endangered and the risk of the Germans finding out the machine and codes were captured causing them to be changed. Captians have bosses and like it or not, orders are issued for a reason!
1- NOBODY TOLD CAPTAIN GALLERY THAT THE ALLIES ALREADY HAD PENETRATED THE U-BOAT CODES- OTHERWISE, CAPTAIN GALLERY WOULD SURE AS HELL NOT HAVE TRIED IT, 2- ALTHOUGH WW2 WAS BEFORE MY TIME- I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE THEM TRY TO COURT MARTIAL CAPTAIN GALLERY- BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE ATTRACTED ATTENTION- AND IT WOULD HAVE COMPLETELY BACKFIRED, AND 3- WHAT THE HELL BUSINESS IS IT OF YOURS ANYWAY?!
@@daleburrell6273Gallery probably knew about ULTRA but not the method the allies were using to break it in late 1943 till the end of the e war. They had computing equipment that could crunch through numbers till they found the key and other settings in the space of a few hours or less every time the Germans changed their settings so they could read the Germans "mail" in almost real time. You are right that if Gallery was court-martialed it would have attracted attention so the powers that be decorated him.
I identify as a Josh but Im really a Toby
I wish I was Josh. I’m really a Toby.
So no mention of how it got to Chicago?
That is in a separate documentary. If you like I could try and rip that off the DVD and post it as well. But I will say that if you can get the book Twenty Million Tons Under The Sea by Daniel Gallery the last three chapters go a lot further into the subject then what the doc says
Love the video -- except that TR's a Republican!
I've claimed him for the liberals
TR wouldn't be allowed into today's GOP. He fought corporate trust, passed the Pure Food and Drug Act and fought corruption in the NYPD. He'd be branded a RINO
He'd be called a RINO and hated by today's GQP.
I thought they would remember him sending Sam outside to jump and spit on the snow
Someone else have done that video already but I thought this is the more iconic instance
@@stratagama Yes this one much more iconic as it is with the whole staff. The other one funnier just cause Josh joins in.
That was several seasons later on Election Day when Sam didn't understand why Toby had written a concession speech.
Toby: In the 15 months that we've been in office what kind of luck have we had ginger? Ginger: bad luck Toby: *(Um xcuze me?!)* what kind of luck... Ginger: very bad luck!
I had forgotten the number of the sub. I thought it 565. This group commander took a lot of hell for this. What he didn't know was that the Allies had already captured the Enigma machine.
What a treat to have Bill Kurtis do the narration! Growing up in Chicago, I remember Bill’s tenure at WBBM Ch 2 in Chicago. Truly Bill Kurtis is Chicago’s Very Own!…..Mark
So much for happy days right?
still better than the previous administration
@stratagaama aww disappointed to hear you went political! Let the song be for everyone Edit oops I just read other comments, somehow I wondered into a strictly Democrat channel. I was Democrat for 40 years until I walked away.
@@MichelleyB-zk3eh I mean the song is the anthem of the democratic party, idk what you were expecting...
They were aware, it is this carnage and absolute waste of human life that was the biggest disgrace and shame all down to ADMIRAL KING of the US NAVY. King hated the British so he refused to take the proven defense of Convoys with escorts, blacking out coastal city lights. He didnt even bother to have protective planes / ships available to protect the merchant sea men who were slaughtered in the 1000's. Adm King should have been shot after the war.
Yeah how’s this song going for you now Dems? Biden’s the worst president ever 😂
James Buchanan is right there
@@TheEmperorYTPwoodrow Wilson too
Get back to us when Biden suggest injecting disinfectants into humans(embalming) raking leaves to prevent forest fires, changes hurricane paths with a Sharpie, says the Continental Army captured airports and we're close to entering WW II .

@@PEDRO-ld4gp He was in power when the USA won the First World War. If the nation would have listened to him and entered the Leaque of Nations that might of prevented World War 2.
We can learn from the old men once enemy's. Learn from our past for a better tommrow
The tyrants are now inside our own countries in the west attempting to extinguish the flame of democracy and it's a war against the people. Australia is gone, Canada is struggling, and the USA is in their sights. France is holding mass demonstrations against their oppression...Greece, UK, Germany, Italy, the people are protesting to save their human rights and freedoms.
