If we get over the injuries and have the option to play an out and out left sided player at times as well it would make a huge difference as we will get found out in terms of everything going down the right it would be great to have 2 out and out wingers at times be able to switch the play and have a plan b! We did very well yesterday in terms of tempo we wanted to win and I think like I said with Conway Rav Clarke even Howson I believe we can carry on winning ways like Dana said this can’t be a one off thing as that happens so so often with us year after year Latte Lath needs a goal as well but with Conway helping him out I think we could start cooking and what I do love is I believe Jones will improve and has to improve now Doak is here this season I think this will bring the absolute best out of him and he has to earn his place and improve at the same time even though he’s still vital to the team!

Teams like man city Barcelona bayern Munich dominate possession like we do but have the quality to open up sides who sit back and allow teams like us to have possession so what do we do?? We are just ponderous and lacking movement. Our transition is just too slow and we seem to continuously go sideways or backwards, which results in the opposition getting all 11 players between the ball and goal.

I've heard loads of boro supporters complaining about Hume not getting sent off. Rewatch it and look at the way Lath jumped in, both feet off the ground, that could also have led to lath getting sent off

Remember how bad we were last season up to and including that Norwich game until the dodgy sending off,,,then we went on that great run till the end of the season .Whats gone wrong?? luckily living in west sussex i dont get to watch much coverage of boro as were so bad..lets be honest,carrick got lucky the first season..since then has been found out..also his demeanour rubs off on how boring and dull boro are..theyll finish about 12th going nowhere then make another load of shit signings..that burzog who heard of him? couldnt do it at an awful relegated huddsfld...the other obvious concern is carrick gets completly outcoached constantly. ..coventry,bristol city etc..had a easy run of fixtures and lost two already..i live in a pompey stronghold in chichester,and i feel they will get better as they actually score a lot..and in mousinho he is a far better coach than carrick..i hope im wrong but its got 2-0 stoke all over it..and another dismal defeat

It’s perplexing why Carrick did not put McGree on in the second half.

Our build up play is way too slow and so predicable through the middle of the pitch. We should be using our width and pace to pressure oppositions defenses.

I'll have to give this a listen when I snap out of my mood. The title says it all. It might be time to ditch the formation. I'd like to see us threaten down both sides and stretch teams more. Something a little different is needed.

Let's not beat around the bush here... we were utterly sh!t3 in front of goal. It was like pulling teeth watching that. When Tommy nutted that football over the crossbar it was as though his forehead was made of a ten bob bit, for a player of Conway's ability I found that hard to take if I'm being honest, a real choker to be frank. Also that tackle on our super striker Latte Lath was gbh at it's best imo... especially having seen him hobbling about like Douglas Bader after that televised assault tbh. The width in the Boro team was basically lacking in this game, considering we had Izzy whomusually takes the p!$$ by terrorising defences like we know he can regularly, it was absolutely criminal tbh because we just didn't look like scoring and feel that I was personally conned by this performance as a whole because my Saturday ACCA was down the tubes when the final whistle was blown before the 3pm kick offs commenced. Come on Boro... let's get back to our best and really tear Stoke a new one this Saturday and get our season up and running and make a real bold statement. UTB. 🔴⚪

We never get the ball wide fast enough when a player is in acres of space. Slow and boring football, trying to pass the ball through the middle of the field. Then losing possession and we are on the back foot. Is Carrick the problem the jury’s out.

We had a corner in 80th minute and in 2 touches it was back to our keeper!. He really needs to change things up, we're so easy to play against and have absolutely no plan B.
