I really love Jujutsu Kaisen, and the reception the series has seen since ending is honestly saddening to me, but regardless, I think your analysis was great, and I can’t wait to hear more

It's plot and setting is weak despite kinda the interesting premise, and the panelling and art is horribly confusing at points. The writing also makes me cringe with how every character feels the need to elaborate how and why each power works and what wish created them, even when it's just some mook. Save that for the volume release Wakui, that's what the bonus pages are there for. Once it got to a weird negative carricature of a trans woman as a minor antagonist there was just no point and I had to drop. (Wakui even makes it a point to have her say "grrr i hate women" and have her whole ability be about tricking men. Not to mention the women in the series having their abilities centered around makeup as their magic items. He's not beating the misogyny allegations any time soon.)

I haven’t watched or read Tokyo Revengers, so I don’t really have an opinion on it, I just know it’s ending is divisive to say the least. Kinda sucks after that the same author makes starts a new series that’s not really getting a good reception and it might not last. Also, Darling in the Franxx is overhated.

Not gonna lie, people should stop shitting on authors like thia. How would they feel if they just try to survive in an industry thats harsh and rough enough by itself and some random ass people act as if your manga never did anything good, despite Tokyo Revengers very much having good qualities to it.

Honestly the premise and setting is very good IMO. Semi-post apocalyptic tokyo where everyone gets crazy powers? Cool. Presented not as a generic adventure story but also as a yakuza story? Awesome. The characters, however, sucks ass. Especially the MC: - Bland cookie cutter "believe in your friends" personality - Power is to punch really hard, mega bland - No drip The blandness is extra jarring when everyone compared this manga to Kagurabachi, where the MC is dripping from head to toe and pulls a left hook by instead of being a generic edgy revenge seeker, he's actually really caring and sweet

The formulas of eleceed is generic, but executed really well Most obvious reason i love it not just character, but it's really hard to found simple n comfy story on manhwa genre Everytime i read some title mostly their focused on drama, darkest tone, n little bit depression... That's why whenever i read eleceed it become relaxing time after reading more serious manhwa

The art looks awesome! I haven't really delved into Tokyo Revengers, because the art style wasn't something I was interested in, so I can't judge anything fairly, except for one thing: as a Westerner, I would have to admit that the Western anime audience is really harsh. I don't think they're fair to Japanese mangaka a lot of the time, and they tend to be really picky with anime and manga. It's really unfortunate to see. I think this manga deserves to have time to get good. I don't think people should just write it off.

lets be honest, when it comes to wither a manga falls off, western's opinions shouldnt be considered. WHere it comes from Culture differences, or the fact unless it's fan translated (and not spedtranslated), official translations (which 90% of these normies get their anime and manga from) are often translated wrong, or missing the point of passages, or worse, translated wrong on purpose.

One of the few great videos on youtube about this manhwa. You are absolutely right. This piece of art deserves your time. Cute cats and supernatural action, a wonderful combination. And Jisuk's character arc is, in my opinion, one of the best character arcs in all of manhwas that I've read. 10/10

I may be among a minority when I say I don't think Tokyo Revengers was that bad. The ending was just rushed to the happy ending that I truly feel the cast deserved and earned. Is it perfect? No. But I like it fine.

What's with the weird America bashing. Ya'll throw that crap into these videos and it sours the whole thing. As far as I can tell. You aren't even right. Everything I've seen from Japanese twitter suggests they are doing all the same things. It's also literally last place on Jump consistently.

Great video! I've been following Ryu to Chameleon since chapter 1 and it shapes up to become even better than Bakuman. I really suggest you to read "Weekly Shonen Hachi". It's a manga from "Jitsu wa Watashi wa" author and it's CRAZY good and crazy underrated. Basically the same message about not giving up and not being good enough, but in a different setting- school made for amateur manga authors. As an artist I can't help but project myself onto main character... It's just 5 volumes long, unfortunately, it was axed before author could wrap everything up, but it's still a solid 10 in my book. If you liked "Chameleon", you will be blown away by this.

Even though I didn't like the rushed ending, I overall absolutely loved Tokyo Revengers. It was peak up until the end of the Bonten Arc. Imho It only started falling off for me during the second half of the final arc. I havent read Astro Royale yet bc, honestly, I didnt even know it existed until this vid 😂. Seems like it has potential, so Im gonna check it out.
