Becoming The Fords
United States
Приєднався 29 лис 2019
My name is Avery Ford and I’m a visual storyteller on UA-cam. My channel focuses on my journey of striving to become a better husband and father for my family. This is not a highlight tape of my life as a parent. This is me being transparent with my journey trying to figure this out, the best way I know how.
Becoming The Fords is an honest perspective of fatherhood and how I faces challenges and triumphs in my everyday life.

It’s Always Bittersweet She Looked Ready🎀🎀🎀 it’s Harder On You More Than Them. Blessings!!!
That is so so true 🥹🩷
I’m a biracial woman. I think hair care is more something girls struggle with than boys. I never hear biracial guys complain about their hair. It’s cool to see you make an effort, especially dealing with type 3 or 4 hair.
That is totally understandable!! I will continue try to do both of them!!
Shea moisture hair care works wonders on mixed texture hair …. But you’re doing beautifully with your beautiful babies and their hair … go mama ❤❤
Thank you so much! I think we use some of their line!!
Irs okay not to do their hair every day, to much pulling and tugging breaks the hair, and most of the time they don't want to sit to get it done
It’s a good practice to do it everyday in my opinion so that it is predictable for them otherwise they will never learn to sit still when I do their hair. It’s teaching them personal hygiene also
Beautiful babies Mom your doing a great job 💪🏾💯💯💯😊
Thank you so much 🥹🩵
Yeah, for moisture!
👍🏽👍🏽
Yeeessss! ❤
🩵🩵

You both are doing so good and doing your best for your kids and future, good luck to you guys keep up your work it will be worth it in the end.❤
It means so much, thank you for the support 💜
That's how you do it baby! Great job. In making sure they honor their AfriAmerican heritage, make sure they honor their EuroAmerican heritage. They are both, beautifully made by God through the both of you. Blessings
Absolutely!!
Such a cutie pie
Thank you so much
As a 54 y.o. interracial woman, I appreciate that you ask questions. I have been approached in Walmart a few times from white women who either had biological or foster kids that were mixed. The approach was usually something like, I notice that your hair is like my child's. Would you recommend some products we can use? I can certainly appreciate the effort to learn.
People like you are such a gift! Thank you for being willing to help!!
You're not a white mom, you're a mother ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you 🩵🩵
My mom said she tried to prepare herself for a lot of things, but hair wasn’t one. Took her a couple years to find her rhythm, but when she did, she did! Your killin it 💜
This is so sweet ❤️
Thank you 🩵🩵
Thank you so much for demonstrating so much love embodied in wisdom. You're setting an amazing example for them of what true representation means❤❤❤
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words and support 💜
You go Mom!🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you!!
Woman, you're there. Peace on your heart.

That’s the perfect interpretation 😂😂🩵
awww what a gem! You're doing awesome, mom!
You are so kind, thank you 🩵
Glad someone else was there.
Oh gosh 🙈
An informative video but confusing too. She says their culture. A very confusing thing. What about their white culture too? Those kids are biracial. They are not black. If she feel looks at them as only “black”, that means she’s committing genocide against her own white people. People need to live in reality and grow some commonsense. Nobody should ever let their race go extinct. That’s a very sad, disrespectful, immoral thing to do to yourself, your kids and your family’s heritage.
Did you read the title of the video? The goal is to teach about both races and this video is addressing the half of them that is black.
😮 Que barbaro...! Está como una que yoo* conozco...ni la tronata de una tormenta electrica lo despirta...es mas , ni aunque lo zangoloteen...pobre bebe..😮😊
The baby is in good hands
As a biracial woman, we are not African Americans. We are Americans who are biracial.
Do you identify with being both African American and white?
@BecomingTheFords Yes, I identify as both black and white. However, I see it differently. I just don't consider it African-American. It's American with African ancestry. Even before finding out my actual ancestry being predominantly Nigerian , I have always recognized my African paternal Heritage as well as my maternal Eastern European heritage. I select the other box on forms "2 or more races." In the past, if there was no other box, I would select both. I grew up within a black community. I am 47 years old. I never let anyone define my ethnicity. Even our hair is different. Although it's curly, our routines are similar but not identical to actual black hair care. Oftentimes, it's more complicated to deal with. It took me decades to understand my own hair. We are our own ethnicity.✌🏽 multiracial, biracial. African-American is just a politically correct term. Elevating one over the other just causes confusion. I'm just glad that I had the clarity to understand what I am very early on.
That is completely understandable. I am sure it can get very complicated and I want to work on them understanding both sides of their cultures. I refer to them as biracial and mixed and specifically in this video was addressing the African American half.
Wake up Daddy. Your son needs you. Where is mama???
Haha we are both right here :) he’s chillin
Grabando 🤭
@@monalisabellini9972 what’s that mean
Your kids are not African American. White women give birth to mixed or white children
You must not understand genetics
@ you clearly don’t if you think you can have black kids.
Did you read the title? They are half African American and I am addressing that part of their racial identity in the video.
There are many moms of all cultures who dont know how to do hair and not even their own hair, a lot of people go to salons. So thats good that you know how to do hair....there is curly or straight and thick or thin and coarse or smooth hair... all types of hair. Taking the time to teach your children to take pride in their appearance is awesome. Good job mom!
Thank you so much! I still have so much to learn!!
Wow I love this 👏 🙌
Thank you mom❤
🩵🩵
😂 Some people, only have to do is get vertical and boom, they're asleep.😊
Ain’t that the truth!!! Hahaha!
My mom is Mexican and my dad is Jamaican
That is so beautiful!
Be fruitful and multiply ❤
