sticky enough if you clean the mounting spot with a little alcohol. 🙄
I did, but even then, I would still be afraid it would let go over time a mess something up
@@thebasicCreator Sorry I must have missed that. My $2 Ali ones stick great.
Not Just Heat; Drying and Dehumidify are whats Needed. Some people just Steam the Moisture Deeper into it with the wrong Prep Process.
and again, defective roll
You could've shared your print settings to help others
I just used the generic ABS setting default in Bambu slicer. Didn't change anything. If that helps
WOW! I never thought I would. We’d to do that till you mentioned needing multiple spools for multiple printers. I just ordered (3) more A1 and you just helped me save $$$ by splitting up rolls! Great Video…keep it up!
I'm so happy this helped you out. That's awesome. thanks for the comment
Thanks for the vid, exactly what I was looking for to see if the stock filter would do the trick haha.
Now sort out your temp, retraction and flow rate and mvs settings for the HS and get back to us 😂🤦🏻♂️
@@toddy9141 or just read all the other comments Define the actual answer
It washes out at the lowest printing heights, I am going to mount it to an LED bar.
That's a good idea
Would be cool making small bracket to glue the to the a1 and then attach the strip But anyways looks good
Perfect timing. I literally got mine in the mail today. Great video! Thank you, sir! Keep up the good work.
Thank you.
Great video man! keep going
Thanks
Dude I’m having these same damn issues dried the hell out of it no luck. Lame!
probably defective batch like I had. Other stuff I had was fine.
Get "The Ultimate Panda Touch" mount on MakerWorld. It looks totally stock.
I've only been printing for short while with pla basic on the a1 mini and wanted to switch to petg. Do you think this is worth getting yet? as I'm on the fence as alot of people saying about it getting damp even after drying. Any tips on this filimant or better alternatives would be appreciated 👍🏻
so I had a bad batch. The next roll I tried of Bambu's PTEG high flow worked great. So there may be some other bad rolls out there still. I have seen videos of others with the same issues so it's not just me. Everything I have used since from Bambu PETG-HF has been fine and yes you have to dry the stuff for a while. Now I have also for quite some time used PETG from SUNLU and DURAMIC and had great prints with less effort and prep as the Bambu.
New firmware update adds new features for the Panda LCD.
always cool
Would love to know your settings. I've been having trouble with anything but PLA.
this was just the Generic ABS settings I used with the door closed. Nothing tweaked or anything other then making sure the filament was dry first then into the AMS on the P1S
To remove the plastic chain that contains and chews the hotend wire is the main and only mod need to make this machine great. I have 4 of them.
I think that there were many issues across the board and not consistent from one machine to another.
@thebasicCreator that's true, but we should consider that these are old school printers. Management and small fixing has always been part of the game. The chewing chain made people think these machines are crap while they are not.
@@Enthcreations Yep, once I figured out everything to tweak it turned out to be a great printer.
Do you let the chamber heat up first, or just press go
just press and go
i had issues too, experience user here
Yes there's been a few people that have and from what I can gather is that there was a bad batch that went out there. I had some other high flow that I have tried since then and looks great. The only real problem is trusting still the next role I buy is going to be good, or is it defective?
Dry it. Like all filaments…. This is the only problem with the Bambu ecosystem. Everyone just presses a button and then pisses their pants when it doesn’t work.
@@Bop7324 and some people don't read the rest of the comments too to realize that the problem has been resolved
I have to question the thought process behind the desiccant holder. I would imagine if you put the meter right beside the desiccant, it will always read low. In my opinion there would be no point in putting it in the holder. Maybe drill a hole in the top of the AMS. Putting the meter so close would give you false readings for the rest of the compartment.
you may be right, however it could still at least give a read for how effective they are still or if they need to be recycled. There really isn't enough room to put them anywhere else for the A1 and for the P1S it still gives an overall reading in Bambu slicer too.
I'm getting into 3D printing for the first time. I'm just about ready to click "buy" on an A1 + AMS but I need to watch videos like yours to help make my finger push the mouse button down. I've been watching the 3D printer scene since the late 90s. I may have too much self control.
Nice and to the point
thanks, been trying to stay on point and not get side tracked...lol
Can you let us know your settings
Thanks for the video. Iam a beginner watching every review I can find on bambulab printers. Can't decide between A1 combo or P1S combo. Is the P1 really so much louder than the A1? Which one would you get if you want to start?
A1 with AMS for sure. It is quieter but also easier to fix when things go wrong too.
I just used it today for the first time, and the two projects I did came out flawless with stock settings on my X1. You may want to review your settings if you sure it is dry.
Bad batch it was. Other rolls work fine. did the test already
and this is the link to the Panda touch, but also metal extruder gears, the awesome Cryo Grip and the light bar for the P1S as well all available on this site biqu.equipment/products/bigtreetech-panda-touch-5-display-for-bambu-lab-printers

Do you have a link to the desiccant holder at 1:51 ? Thanks. If not that’s ok I should be able to track it down.

Hi thanks for the video, I have an idea for that cable you can buy in a few. colours called plastic self adhesive 20x10mm D Trunking
I did a short on one I printed that worked real well, and had adhesive left over from something else and stuck it on. Good idea though!
Thanks for the video
It looks to me like you're drying the filament, but then you print with it sitting in the open air on your A1 AMS. In the time it takes to print, that hygroscopic filament is absorbing moisture in the air. Print it directly from a dryer.
bad batch. I later tried another roll in black and it worked great. So watch, there are bad rolls out there
Ill buy the spools you have from you and pay for shipping
I'm just going to use it up for Prototype prints for my printing company. It was obviously defective batch because the other stuff I have works fine so if you come across some that work like that you know it's probably part of that batch that went out that's bad
I've had nothing but excellent results from HF, so I don't know what you're talking about? did you update for the latest profile?
though all our conversations and further investigations it turns out that it was a bad batch. I have tried another roll and it turned out ok. So there may be some bad rolls out there
That looks like wet filament
bad batch it seems. I left it in a dryer for a week. Dint make any difference other then the flow was a bit better, but still had the little blips in it.
U should see my ender print pla 😭
I started with an ender 3 pro, and it could print really well.
I just bought this myself... you have to dry it for at least 8 hours first... and after, looks amazing
did it for oxer two days, didn't make any difference
@@thebasicCreator I used my x1c to dry it over night and it was great, I had the same issue you are with sunlu and made the switch. Rewatching your vid I noticed you are using the A1, and it may just be the settings that are causing this issue. I use the x1 with the ams and the profile it has for petg is spot on. I would play around with the slicer settings, or see if there is an update for your a1 with the new hf profile
@@XaedBlade I know what you mean I went over the settings updated both the slicer and the A1 actually comes up in the profiles with the high flow and everything I later went and tried it on my p1s left it in the AMS after drying it for more than 48 hours and still had little lips in it like that the flow is better but the quality still didn't look good. I'm thinking it may have been a bad batch.
@@thebasicCreator yea, you must be right, I guess it could be a mixed bag, to be fair I've only been using one roll so far. I did buy a bunch, so maybe there may be some bad ones in the batch. love the content :)
@@XaedBlade thanks if I try another roll and it works well I'll post it for sure
I've actually had good luck with it. I've printed 6 rolls perfectly on my a1
maybe their batches of it in production is inconsistent
@@thebasicCreator could be. I still think it's weird that they completely discontinued the normal PETG. PETG HF is a good pla replacement but it's not actually as good in some ways as standard PETG.
@@orange3203 I've been using Sunlu Overturne and Usun for quite a long time and even at high speeds on the A1 A1 mini or P1S they still look awesome so I'm just going to stick to what I know works good. Unless Bambu sends me some to try for free to renew my faith in their product I don't want to risk the cost to try again and have the same result.
@@thebasicCreator fair
welcome to the family :)
Did you dry it for 8 hours? Either way not a huge fan as I have the Bambu hi flow petg and my cheap sunlu has better print quality. I will stick to sunlu, elegoo and overture
that's exactly the same here for me. I dried it for days and still not nearly the quality I get from those same brands. Also If I have to plan two days in advance just to use it and buy a machine that goes to 65 deg C, it's not worth it when all the other brands as you mentioned work great right away and better.
Alright mate, they look great! I saw 10 ABS prints on this printer, and they were all round models. I can print rounded ABS models on an open printer with a raft. I wanted to see sharper corners like yours :D Thanks for the video
right on!
I have no idea what these are but I am happy for you and here's a like have a good day. lol 😂
caps to cover sharp edges of the bottom of fence poles at a hospital. Thanks for the like
Oh overexposure
Sent someone from a local group to your video. Maybe you'd share your config with them.
sure
I'm talking with the guys from elegoo explaining the issues this printer has with the native printer parameters for both Cura and orca slicer one arm is the fact that it's running very slow
my first couple prints were absolutely flawless. best prints even over PLA. ever since absolute junk. no matter settings / dry time etc.
that's the thing with me, all other brands work great, PLA PLA+, PETG etc... Even Bambus tough series and basic, but the HF PETG has been no good. I'm going to try it in my P1S soon and see what results I get
Did you dry the filament as instructed?
72 HOURS ONCE \
24mms? Holy shit that's slow
I bought this myself too, I have nothing to do with the company. I just find it works great
Just the tip?
thanks for the reminder I got this issue resolved and I posted a short about it, Still a good Idea to have an extra tip for back up anyway but if you have this problem as well, may have not been aligned properly at the factory.
It’s not a tip people, it’s called a nozzle
