Baja: Mulege, San Javier, Loreto

Had to stick to the highway all the way from Mulege to Loreto due to the Norra 1000, but had great views and roads along conception bay. Took Carretera San Javier-Loreto rd to San Javier Mission then continued southwest on dirt to find some oasis pools. Linked back up with the highway and returned to Loreto to watch the Norra racers come and go from town.
Baja: San Ignacio to Mulegé Off-road

Leaving south west from San Ignacio, took a route through the hills towards San Juanico. Just a few miles north of San Juanico, turned east on the San Juanico to Mulege Transpeninsular Route all the way to Mulegé. This route very rocky, but worth it once you start cutting through the mountains.
Baja: Off-road from Bahía De Los Angeles to Baja Sur

Departing from Bahía de Los Angeles, heading south offroad for over 130 miles until reaching the Mex-1 Highway in Baja Sur. Followed the highway south to San Ignacio.
Baja: Laguna Hanson/Camino a Lázaro Cardenas

Started from La Rumorosa and rode south. Found an alternate route south of the lagoon heading east that connected to the Mex 3 Highway. Road to Lazaro’s Cárdenas (Valle de Trinidad) for gas and tacos l. Then road west over the mountains on Camino a Lázaro Cárdenas until it connected to the Mex 1 highway. Road south to San Quentin to stay at the Old Mill for the night. The next day road south on...

Hey bro.. what gps device did you use there?
@@ahmad973 garmin zumo xt
How is wind protection with this windshield if you drive on highway?
It’s ok. I’m 5’11” and Will get some buffeting at high speeds on the highway. A little puig windshield extender and there probably wouldnt be much of an issue
@@ZackRidesBikes it’s compatible to use with windshield extender? Cooll
Looks fun. What tires are you running?
Motoz dual venture front tire. Motoz tractionator adventure rear. First time running them. Worked pretty good for the hard-pack and rocky terrain
@@ZackRidesBikes Depending on how much of that type of thing you do, you may want to try the RallZ rear next, a bit more offroad focussed than the adventure; unsurprisingly less mileage.
Ya I got them for longer tread life. When I’m in the desert or softer terrain I run Dunlop 908 rally raid rear and Dunlop 606 front 👍🏼
@@ZackRidesBikes I’m on D606 front & RallZ rear. About to try the desert HT front. After that I’m thinking I might try the mitas trail xt+. Thanks for posting the vid.
Looks properly fun and flowy. I might have to find tracks for that and hit it the next time I'm in MNF on the Tuareg! Great riding.
Thanks! A lot of good riding out this way. I Have tracks for some fun routes through the area if you need them 👍🏼
This is great riding! I couldn't do this on a 250 DP, this guy is doing it on a (albeit very capable) midsize ADV. Some of those vicious ruts and trail rocks would have taken me down in a split second.
Thanks! It was a good workout getting the bike through some of the terrian
@@ZackRidesBikes thx bro
The video is titled Laguna Hanson, the thumbnail shows Laguna Hanson, the description says Laguna Hanson...... Click on video... NO Laguna Hanson! Glad your having a good time bud and most of all be safe but please, Don't post BS titles and waste people's time.. all I wanted to see was the lake.
Laguna Hanson is at the 2:00 mark of the video? The trail from the mex 2 highway to the mex 3 highway is also called Laguna Hanson. Nothing misleading here bud!
@@ZackRidesBikes ok sorry, I miss the lake so much so I got 😭 you're right.
Great video! A ride I would love to take soon!
It’s a lot of fun, and some good camping around the lagoon!
I live in Lakeport, if you're local, I'm always looking for more guys to ride with (plated bikes). Mostly 2 track but I like to throw some single track in the route if the guys are up for it. Sled Ridge for example, that's more fun than Elk Mt. Rd.
I’m in the north bay, but mostly ride up in your area. If you have Facebook check out the group Bay Area ADV Moto Riders! I’ll also be at the Sheetiron 300 in May
Just rode Twin Valley the other direction yesterday. I tried back in January and the mud was just too thick for me (solo anyways). GG.
Looks fun
Love MNF - did you cross Cache Creek down by Hough Springs?
Not on this route, but we did pass by that crossing. The M5 is a fun ride from there to Letts Lake!
Gaaf om te rijden in die omgeving, ben jaloers 👍💪
Awesome content bro 👌
Used to go there for two weeks each summer with Aunt and Uncle and cousins. We stayed at the little cabins at Soda Creek Camp (now gone) and went to Lake Pillsbury Resort each day to swim. I would like to return but everyone I used to go with is now deceased or moved out of the area.
Go experience it yourself man I see plot people solo exploring out there
Epic ride!
Thank you! Are you at the rally this weekend?
Smooth as glass in the AM. Clean water and great camping. Mendo is the best.
Great memories of my years in inland Mendo. I used to set up a 25" telescope on the slab by the airstrip. Beautiful dark skies back then but often kinda windy.
That was pretty serious terrain. Good work. Not sure I would take an 890 there.
Great post Gnarly, would like to know your height? I'm 5'9" (1.75m) and I'm thinking about the '23 890 Adv R. FYI I do own a 450 EXC-F and ofter struggle tapping down. Too often end up dropping it below 5mph so about to fit 50mm lowering kit (still higher seat than 890 but it's a lot narrower)
The 890 R is a tall bike. Getting the Lt. power parts low ergo seat might help shorten it by a few inches. I’m 5’11” and just barely flat foot one leg when I ride with my KTM power part tall seat
@@ZackRidesBikes Looking at specs for seat height. My 50mm lowered EXC-F is still higher than the 890 Adv R. I think KTM do a 25mm lowering kit for the 890 Adv R (and different seats, although heated is my option) so there's going to be less chance of low-speed drops. However that'll probably be mitigated by the extra strain of 'catching' an additional 90kgs! Thanks 👍
how to ruin a bike
Must be a GS owner 🙃
@@ZackRidesBikes not at all mate 😀
@@ZackRidesBikes it's just that I hate ruining and destroying man made items for no reason 😃 you can still have fun yet not scraping the bike on every single rock
You've got the skills! Man I hate it when the front slips on me...
I ordered a 23 890 back in October so my only experience is riding my buddies 790 on fire roads. I guess this is good practice for a big bike but sure seems like smaller bike terrain. Camera angles are hard to decipher but this looks fairly simple on my 350
Congrats. And your 100% right. A true enduro bike would make easy work of this trail
ua-cam.com/video/yPLJn3IygAg/v-deo.html it aint about the bike but the skill of the rider
Great video. my friends and i did this trail. we had 2 890's and myself on 690. very tuff trail.
Tuff but rewarding! Big props to whoever does it on a big bike!
That was an amazing video! I never realized that lake Pillsbury was that big
