If portal 3 happens and for part of the story GLADoS (I think those are just the right capitalizations) adds a core or a part of her programming that helps her change as an AI on a behavioral level, I could totally see Don’t Say Goodbye as the credits song for it.

Imagine this. Played D&D? 2nd ed? Forgotten Realms? Undermountain? Ok. Now imagine Undermountain was really the Aperture facility brought in by some zany science experiment. Now imagine the Mad Wizard was really Cave Johnson! Think back in those days of playing it in the late 90's to early 2000's, and when sit back and go "holy fu---" you're welcome. :) PS: The Portal 2 song is a great outro song for a party that passed all of the traps and puzzles.

Some things i have noticed with GLaDOS' and Chell's relationship here Still alive - GLaDOS definitely sees Chell as just another Subject Want you gone - Sounds a lot more friendly, as they somewhat build a 'friendship' because of Wheatly's betrayal Don't say goodbye - That sounds a lot like GLaDOS feels like a mother for Chell (We already have that theory, don't we.) You wouldn't know - Gives the same vibe as Still alive, maybe the same timeline (I don't know anything of LEGO Dimensions) So yeah, just something I needed to comment☆

I can see why Don't Say Goodbye was cut, it really doesn't make sense in the context of the game

These songs all sound like someone going through a breakup, trying to manipulate their ex. "It was good, It's totally fine, I'm not mad, but I'm still here even though you hurt me." "I'm tired of the kind of person you are and I need you to leave so I can get better." "Please don't leave me I don't know anything else" "Actually I'm doing pretty good without you and totally not trying to make you jealous there's actually someone else and I like them more totally not trying to make you jealous by the way"

Portal end credit songs are always nostalgic to me. Portal two on the ps3 is the first game I ever played.

*cough cough, ahem* I have a small headcanon that GLaD does actually sing these, but just alone, missing Chell, the only person she sort of knows in that cold little chamber-- ..which is.... Actually really depressing.

I am so incredibly Glad they didn't go with "Don't say goodbye", it feels so out of place and doesn't really sound good.

Nothing can beat Still Alive too much of a bop and the amount of nostalgia it gives me, nothing will ever replace the feeling of first playing Portal.

Man, I want a third game, and I got an idea You play as Rattman, yeah, the ambiguity of his survival will be gone but it'd be worth it. I haven't thought of the plot elements except one thing, you'd have the companion cube with you for the entirety of the game, and so it doesn't bother the player, Doug carries it on his back like in the comic, the cubr talks to you while playing, and he could even give hints on how to complete the levels, like how the cube helps Doug in the comic. In the end, you're somehow forced to take your schizophrenia medicine, maybe Glados could pump it throught the air like the neurotoxin, or Glados just simply incinerated your companion. It could also be the first instance of a talkative protagonist, which also pairs nicely with the cube, because if it was just Glados and the cube talking, they would never interact as the cube is just a hallucination, which Glados can't comprehend.
