Thank you for this amazing recipe . I've been drinking spicebush tea for a few days now and I just love the fresh taste . Do you have any ideas on how much spicebush consumption might constitute a too much level (LD50) Can dried leaves be added to soups and stews . Kind of like bay leaves . Or maybe added to rice pudding to infuse it with that heavenly flavor ( kind of like green cardamom , only cheaper ). What are your experiences with similar experiments ? I just would like to know at what amounts it might be too much of a delicious thing . Also , could I put crumpled up leaves into my socks to discourage ticks from climbing on board ? Wear the leaves like a necklace to repell mosquitos ? Maybe use them in the pillows that our pets rest on to repell fleas ? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge . It is much appreciated and I will most certainly share it widely . Just to show people what kind of delightful alternatives Nature has to offer . BTW I will sweeten my beer with rose petal sirup that I made during the last epic solar storm ( pink dogroses for pink beer) to turn it into an aromatic surprise attack on the tastebuds . I love working with Nature ! Never a dull moment ...... So many possibilities , so much potential if only one pays attention and is willing to experiment a little . Do you have any recipes for Little Hawkweed ? Just like the many spicebush plants, the local wildlife insisted on blessing my garden with an abundance of specimen . Have you ever made beer with creeping Charlie ? Something for people with osteoporosis prevention agendas ?

Good video, but you didn't show that its NOT the same as Queen Anns Lace, and how to tell the difference...and the drying temp for best preservation of the product dry...first timers may need that info...cant dry it too hot or you loose properties...but great video still...😊👍

Thank you so much! We have one red bud in our front yard which my husband planted 15 years ago. He just passed away in November, so it is now his memorial tree. I am going to teach my grandchildren how to make these pickles and we'll call them "Bobbob" pickles (his nickname from his grandchildren).

I'm from a totally different background than yourself, but I'm also concerned about passing down these recipes and traditions. We live in a world where very few can provide for themselves, and basic herbs and gathering should be common knowledge. My son has known how to pick out wood sorrels since he was 3, and I'm sure it will be one of those forever lessons.

Thank you, Zack, for taking the time to make this video. I recently moved to the Ozarks of Missouri where I am free to roam around and wild craft now, much more so than back where I moved from. I saw Yarrow blooming and couldn't wait to learn more about it. I ordered my tincture bottles, cleaned my dehydrator, have my vodka all ready to go!! When I harvest next year's, I plan to carry a small amount of this year's with me and leave as an offering to the land. Thank you again for helping me to create my own apothecary. Love and light always. Blessings.
