No favorite here - Both have it’s own unique sound in my ears. In some parts I like the Mesa more, in others the engl. I’m pretty sure, both are very satisfying amps! 😁🤘🏽

Du hast es zwar schriftlich erläutert, jedoch erscheint es einfacher, wenn als Untertitel die jeweilige Kombination dargestellt wird. Dazu ist informativ welcher Pickup im Rennen ist, wie Volume und Tonepoti stehen und wie auch die Settings an den Amps sind. Obwohl "nur mit iPhone" eingefangen, so sind besonders die punchy Bassfrequenzen/Tiefmitten wahrnehmbar.

Tremoverb is my favorite rectifier ever. Mine is loaded with NOS Beijing 12AX7A from that time period and I run the 35 watt TungSol 7581A. Heaven really. My other rectifiers sit allot.

New comment for an old video. Had one of these when I was living in Germany back in the early 90s been trying to figure out what it was for years then I came across your video. Not sure what I would think about it if I actually had it in my living room today, but back in the day, and I’m old enough to have actually had a day lol, it is definitely a piece of gear I wish I would’ve held onto. How would we ever know which amp is which?

They sound great but I prefer the VH4. What year is that VH4? I see the older logo and the LED in the power switch. I would guess a 2001 or somewhere around there?

I have one of these but the switches on the clean channel barely make any difference. Do I need to crank the volume to get them to do anything?

I hear very little difference on the clean channel when I mess with the switches, maybe only the Treble Shift. Do you notice a difference?

I have early 70s PA and and a DR .. both are 72,73 vintage. They are incredible, nothing ever comes close.

Thanks for all of your kind words. What I want to my clear: The PA head is no "close to"-amp. It's a class by it's own. It has all of this Hiwatt chime, clarity and brutality in the higher mids. A Hiwatt is always very present, but never in the first row. A PA Head is pure understatement. If you hear it you'll never believe, that the sound is coming from a "powered pa mixer". Because it's not just another "powered pa mixer". It's 6 !! fully equipped Hiwatt amps in 1 housing. Including a Master-Master Volume and a FX loop! Absolutely feature packed vintage sound monster.

I like your style! My Hiwatt PAs don't quite overdrive the same way as the 103/504/201 heads do - even if bridging a couple of channels on the PA, which has no tremendous effect. But by getting the relative bargain PA head, you've got all the Partridge goodness and hi-fi Hiwattness on which to build.

I had a DR103 and still have a DR112. They sound very similar to me. The PA is a bargain vintage Hiwatt.

I was just looking up the Aria Pro Titan Independently Of searching for Jennings amps and found your other video on a Jennings amp when I clicked to check out your other videos. Sounds great.

If there was only two of these built as you say then I have the other one. Running it through a mint Jennings D4 speaker cabinet equipped with a matched set of four original January 1970 Celestion greenback G12H 30 watt 16ohm T1217 speakers, all with original Pulsonic cones. The amp and speaker combination is a beast.
