Great video overall but I went 😬 when you started stapling that fiber cable.
@@RavenholmZombie appreciate it! But yeah, hahahaha. It can damage the cable easily, but so far so good! And I’ve had a 1GB of speed both upload and download which has been amazing!
I bought one in 22 best investment i ever made got the backhoe forks an box blade just put 40 yards of hard pack down on my driveway built rock walls got 250 hours on it im thinking about getting the 25 horse but im keeping the 22
@@billgates-xr9hs yes I agree! I just got done putting 20 tons of gravel down on my driveway too! Definitely is a tank for the size it is!
The gears are nylon/plastic. Please use grease, no liquid lubricant, according to Agri-Fab.
@@karenolsen5302 yeah I thought about grease, but was worried that it would capture debris.
I've had mine just over a year now and still love it. My best add-ons to mine so far have been Ken's bolt on bucket hooks, bxpanded piranha tooth bar and lown performance diff lock pedal
@@Mirage276 i’ll have to look up all those aftermarket parts! But yes, I have 20 hours on it now and it has been a back and time saver!
Do you have to wire it in to the system or just plug in
@@tylerdoran3392 you can just plug it into an outlet and that’s it. The pump has a float in it that once it fills up with water, it will tell the pump to turn on and drain the water out.
So basically you like spending money… sharpening blades is so much better then buying new ones.
@@traviscovington4294 those blades I had where mulching blades which is different from the ones I put on. Plus those where already sharpened a few times and to far gone to be sharpened again.
Yeah that looks like fun 😂
@@jackevenson6322 lol yeah let’s just say it took me about three months to grind up the 75 stumps!
@@TheLifeoftheZigs wow that’s a lot of stumps !!😂😂
Darn it, mine does not have the extra holes. I have a DK OPG777(X) looks very similar but it does not have the extra holes. Glad I checked I had everything including extra teeth in my cart ready to go. I did find the OEM teeth are much cheaper at Menards than at Home Depot.
@@hrcnick11 well I’m glad you could find the OEM teeth cheaper! They are definitely expensive at HD
Also. Only do one at a time and don't flip the old one around when you take it off. If you put em on upside down it's not going to do ya much good.
@@jasonsgroovemachine yes, very true!
You should consider pulling the spark plug wire before taking the blades off, just in case.
I use the car lift
An impact?!?! Those blade nuts absolutely DO NOT need to be tht tight
@@toekneecovarrubias6185 yeah, used it for years with no issues. But I definitely tend to over tighten things!
Just sharpen them. 🤦🏻♂️
@@RoadTripRuss that would’ve been my fourth time sharpening those blades and they were pretty beat up so I just decided to toss them
Angle grinder and a flap disk. Back on in the time it would take me to go to the store and buy a new one hahaha
Those mulching blade are much better than the ones you changed them for
@@kylejohnston625 personally I find that the mulching blades don’t provide enough lift to send the leaves up into the leaf vac I have that does the mulching. But everyone has their own preferences!
@TheLifeoftheZigs fair play my guy
No directionals, or brake lights?😂😂😂
@@kenholt8297 lol maybe in a future vid! Hahaha
Awwww ❤
cool dad
@@marla4178 thanks!
I just did mine today on my 2024 S130. I thought my engine was damaged as I had never noticed that notch on the hole where there adapter goes that holds the old style oil filter. I've watched probably over 20 videos doing this and never noticed it. I found your video first trying to see if it was supposed to be there and noticed yours had it and what a sigh of relief that was to see. I also noticed my oil drain tube didn't free spin most the way in like most have shown. I did use John Deere parts but maybe it was cause I used some high heat sealant. Anyways thanks for the video!
haha well im glad it all worked out! Hopefully it will last you years to come!
That’s weird when I did this to my tractor. It was a night and day difference.
Yeah not sure why. But for the price it is, its definitely worth a shot on any lawn tractor!
I need one
@@FOREVERROAMING you can pick one up used on marketplace for $200-$300 usually
I love that song
Are you planning on adding the second system to pull air from home to attic to cool attic even more? I see the pourpuse of the attic fan, I am not really sure about the House fan, unless temps outside are lower than what you usually want to keep your AC at i see no use for it. Maybe if you know youre gone the whole day and had your AC off and want to quickly bring down the temp of house and attic before running your AC but otherwise not sure.
@@cobravenum No I’m not. The same company that made this fan does make a fan for that. However, it is about $1500 and would take years to recover that money that you invested into it. I will say tho that I have noticed my AC running not as much since the attic fan has been installed. And that is with the temperature roughly being that same as before it was installed.
@@TheLifeoftheZigs I hear you, I am in N GA and the summer temps can get into the high 90s with killer humidity. I was thinking of just the fan to release some of the heat that is rising up from the lower and second story up to the Attic and like you mentioned, that alone should help my AC run at least a bit less. I did watch another video after yours from a guy that did the second system and he proved my point, its pretty much usless in the summer time and part of fall but did come handy in the other months. Thanks for your reply.
Bout time people start realizing how badass hard work and efficient equipment and good operators are. I’ll finish off by saying the usually, mower paid for itself in time saved in just this video.
@@RuckReaper I agree!
Good job.hop you get done with what you are doing today
@@ParkerWatson-mk8 thankfully I did and it actually worked pretty good!
Ahhh, yes. Remove the big rocks.
WHAT!? ARE YOU SPEAKING? I CAN’T HEAR YOU OVER THE NOISE OF THAT MACHINE!
I was just talking about adding an attic fan yesterday...you upload today, UA-cam algorithm blesses me with your video..
@@scarce911 hahaha appreciate it! So far the fan has been great and has definitely kept my attic cooler!
Great video thank you
@@Ed-cv3tu appreciate it!
Should have removed the inside spindle bearings seals so the grease can access the bearings. Also feel you should have pregreased the poor man's bearing before install.
@@hansjansen5224 From the research I did the grease would reach the inside of the spindle bearings with how my mower set up. Also people did not recommend greasing the poor man’s bearings since they said it could cause dirt and debris buildup in the bearings. But we’ll see what happens!
Were the holes you used with the new setup already there?
@@KeatenPatterson Yes, they are already there and line up perfectly!
You can sharpen those teeth with a masonry grinder wheel. Cost you 5 bucks. Look up some videos.
I've done this myself last year. Did not notice much of a difference myself. But then again, I mower is OLD and quite tired. Actually needs new tires and steering rebuilt.
@@donaldlemoine3032 yeah definitely not a big difference for me either, but still good maintenance and cleaning for the front end!
I agree. I did it 2 months ago and notice little difference in ease of steering.
It's a good video. Just a note you put sealed bearings inside your hub. You don't grease those. You will overtime have to replace them however.
@@Rusty_Nickle thank you! But yes hopefully I can get two years out of them!
Nice video, brother! I’ve actually been contemplating something like this in my basement. If you were to do it over again, do you think you would use the chips? Also do you think that film that’s on the floor is from condensation or is that something that happens to epoxy
@@FixItFrench so yeah if I where to do it over again I would definitely use chips or use a lighter color as it would help hide the “dirtiness” of the floors. But the film is basically from using the floor and walking on it. It will come off however with black floors in general they tend to show anything and everything on them. So that’s where the chips will help hide the film on the floor.
Nice job! Well done and precisely articulated!
You must put grease on those lower roller bearings or you will be very lucky if they last a season. BTW- they are called LINEAR ROLLER BEARINGS.
@@research903 yes I realized I misspoke on the name of them after I posted the video. But they are enclosed bearings. However, I did grease the axel after I installed the wheel again.
@@TheLifeoftheZigs I'm not talking about the wheel bearings. I speaking about the three-part spindle bearing. The full name is "open form linear roller bearing". They need to be manually greased during assembly. Their location outside of the shaft housing prevents grease from the inside from properly reaching them.
@research903 yes I was informed by some people not to grease them since the grease would attract more dirt and debris. But we’ll see what happens they are cheap so if they fail it’s not a huge deal.
Are you serious??? You don't know the difference between a wheel bearing and a bushing. 👎👎😒😒
What you showed us at the beginning of the video....the items you called "bushings", were actually ball bearings. The wheels actually do have bushings. The wheels don't just "roll on grease".
Yes that is my fault I mixed up the terminology
DING DING DING DING.....you're the millionth person to think they're soo clever.
Just trying to show people how I did it and some data behind it as well
Nothing makes a lawn tractor steer better than adjusting front wheels so they are toe-in. The 2nd best method is to swap front tires to tri-ribs.
Hi, you have to remove the inner seal on the wheel bearing to get it grease.
With my make and model you do not. The grease fitting is inside in between both the bearings so the grease fills all up in there.
@@TheLifeoftheZigs The bearings you installed had seals in both sides of them. Grease will fill up the cavity between them but not get into the bearings due to the inner seals being in place.
@@jacobraml3236no no no no. These are sealed not shielded bearings. Sealed bearings use rubber or plastic and are meant to keep out solid debris only. The pressure of the grease gun is more than enough to overcome the seal when pumping in new grease. Those bearings are literally designed for purposes like this. The seal will move out of the way letting in the grease. Do the experiment yourself. Take off a wheel remove the bearings, clean out all the grease in the bearings, reinstall the bearings, and then regrease. Then open up one of the seals and you will see your new grease inside of the bearing. Shielded bearings use a metal ring that completely seals everything in and out.
Thanks, I enjoyed that and your honesty. To avoid hitting the center of the wheel bearings, use a socket on the outer rim.
Smart idea! I will use that that the next time!
This was so helpful!!!
Stock Nissan brakes suck. The upgrade is worth it. Did all 4 rotors and pads much better no vibration.
Yes I agree! I have been happy with these brake’s so far!
Great video! How is the vacuum with pet hair?
We don’t have any pets so I could not tell you. However, it does pick up some of my wife’s long hair lol
@@TheLifeoftheZigs I appreciate the response! Thanks!
I mean i know there are those moments where we question our life choices working mechanically, but there is a simple peace to it. Zone out, letting your hands do the work and your brain focus. 🤌🤌 Granted the ones I know blast lyrics thats would make Betty White blush (RIP ❤❤❤). I miss it so much. I can't wait!!!!!!
Brake pads not break pads
lol yes
I’m at the insulation step in my basement right now too. Had trouble finding a definitive answer on the plastic wrap too. Thanks for clarifying what you did.
Were your walls framed with 2x4s? Getting ready to do this myself.
Yes they where
I’m interested to see more of this stump grinder and how you like it after several stumps.
There will be another video up about it this Friday!
