I would have wetted my hand in soapy water like we smooth out sealant at work so the silicone would not stick to my hand, but you showed another way, and use soapy water as a mold release, if silicone sticks to stone....

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I wonder about the bare hands though. I've seen tubes of silicone adhesive give a warning right on the front of the package that silicone is known to induce allergic reaction with repeat exposure. I actually had this happen, where all of a sudden i started to develop a rash & extreme itching. The problem with allergic reaction is when it progressed to involve the airway & whole body.

mind-blowing....have 25+ years of experience in product development, prototyping, mold-making/casting RTV...I have never even thought of using RTV silicone from a caulk tube/gun.....dispensed into a bucket of soap water and hand apply!!! Thank you for sharing!

What happened to you, no more videos? I thought you were going to do a cement stamping project with this stamp.

I made two silicone molds using this technique and it worked GREAT! Perfect molds that were easy to make and cost so little!

This worked like a charm! Knead the clear silicone underwater until it turns opaque. I was able to pull them off the stone in 1/2 hour

Nice one. Had a look on UA-cam a while back to see if anyone had made a vid doing a silicone stone mould- and no one had. I take it you’re like me and do not want to pay the crazy money for those resin cement stamps? If so what are your plans for this? I’m going to be doing an outside wall. Great vid. Keep it up!

have you used it already? I'm getting ready to do mine but with clear silicone. I heard if you open up the tubes and boild the silicone to liquid it turns out very well on a stamp. I like ur video! let me see how it looks like when you use it.
