This is absurd. We won't be using phones and computers much longer. And even once we've replaced the tech that predicts this absurd model (whether implants or not), there will always be some "natural" intervention to "fix" us. It wasn't that long ago that many people looked like Mindy; then, a better understanding of our natural, physiological and biological being helped us "correct" what we perceived as "broken." It wasn't that long ago that my great grandmother washed clothes with a washboard and a bucket, which caused her to be stuck in a permanent slouch. Generations later, my back is straight and we have washing machines. We will always be in a constant state of mending. A more useful version of Mindy should be focused on diet and environment - not tech.

I love the last bit. The crucial thing is also, that inability to apologise is actually concerning! It reeks of insecurity and bad emotion management skills, which then tend to result in A LOT of additional drama and more mess in already dire situations. In fields with lives at stake, buildup of bad emotions can easily result in delays and lethal outcomes. It also consumes a ton of energy, leaving whole teams or companies in states of consistent exhaustion > more mistakes > frustration > more conflict >more exhaustion and so on. I'm livid thinking of how patriarchy has lead to dismissal of emotions when they're literally running most human behaviours. And dismissal leads to low prioritisation of skill development. We observe the very dangerous and costly (far from only, but also monetary) price we all pay. Yet, we often still stay at the level of "patching symptoms" instead of addressing the very unseen core of the cause. That's why the last bit of the skit and your video us "said jokingly" but couldn't be more serious and true! We pack it in humour cause we know it to be true and that's hard to stomach, when it's still so common that society neglect how vital this is.

Heavens this looks violet 😱 I have weak connective tissue And already feel like my bones are getting pulled apart just with normal motion. Sth. this brutal would likely just break my neck. I had veeery gentle physiotherapy in which the head is pulled very slowly and gently, which felt good and like the spine got elongated again after compression throughout the day. And yet, my silly body reacts with 3 days of full body muscle and joint pains after "just" that! (I'm suspecting and investigating sth. along the lines of EDS, possibly?!)

Whenever I see surgeons and pharmaceutical doctors slander another field of care it adds legitimacy to that field. Everyone is after your money. Chiropractics is by no means a cure all but its physical therapy and a good place to go to stay healthy and prevent needing surgery.

I waited over a day before I went to the hospital. I live in the States, so going to the hospital is expensive. After I finally did go in, I had the surgery immediately, but the surgeon said the herniated disc was MASSIVE, the biggest he'd seen in the 8 years he's been doing the surgery. They had to take out basically all of the disc tissue. He even sent me a picture because he couldn't believe how much he had to remove. He said my lumbar spine is just bone on bone now, and a spinal fusion is inevitable. Sadly, it looks like s full recovery is not in my future. I do tell everyone I know about it and the symptoms, though. I don't know, I guess I think more awareness about the symptoms will prevent others from waiting so long like I did. Because having to have a wheelchair to leave the house is very inconvenient if you don't have to use one. (Very convenient if you have extensive nerve damage, however.)

I got diagnosed with adhesive Arachnoiditis in February. My MRI showed clumping of cauda equina nerve roots in distal lumbar. I have almost 45 days I don’t remember because the pain was so severe in my right foot and leg. The burning, sharp pains and shocks were excruciating and didn’t stop. I had S/I joint fusion surgery in December from Dr at Stanford. He would not address the issue. It was my primary who ordered the MRI. I wonder if maybe something would have been done when that started I might have a better prognosis. It is progressing and getting very difficult to live with the pain.

So they are basing our physiology on current technology? Do they think we will still be using smart phones in 3000 years? This is the worst representation of the future I have seen. I think we will be augmented with technology, well and truly within uncanny Valley territory by then. I'm not a scientist and have no further education in any of the relevant areas to be making predictions, but even a bum like me can make a more accurate assumption than these guys.
