I like the texture. I also like the head swap of leo and don. It works. Never was a fan of the derpy look of vintage leo. The ankle articulation is the weak spot. That is a bummer. And they wasted a lot of plastic on new weapons and accessories. That should have been an extra head and a set of brown weapons. Overall, they're awesome.

I personally think they’re really good. I understand a lot of people don’t like the texture but turtles aren’t smooth man. I think the texture add something to it the reptiles guys and I’m a big big fan of the original toys I don’t know from my part at least I like them I have my set and I love it. I will say to other collectors if you don’t like them, don’t buy them I understand 100% where you’re coming from, if it’s something that you’re not like don’t buy them leave them there let someone else get them who wants them

I got this set earlier this week. Ingot it because im a fan but ill be honest.. im not happy with these at all. I feel Playmates just really missed the mark on these. Theyre cool on their own but my issue is with them calling these Remasters of the original. In that aspect with everything they changed makes them as close to the originals as the Mutant Mayhem figures. While theyre great in themselves they arent 88 Remasters.

A very good review. Reviewing a "remastered" or revival figure really does necessitate having the originals on hand for comparison, and that absolutely confirmed my concerns that the colours and heads were all off-model. Such a shame. Hopefully they have another pass at the turtles, if they aim to continue the line.

They have inaccuracies and yet, I still felt strong nostalgia in these. Probably because they’re the first Turtles figures I’ve bought in years if you don’t count the Turtles of Grayskull Donatello I bought beforehand. Did they confirm a remastered Shredder? I am IN if they have.

Yeah I definitely don't know if pre-mutated Mondo played guitar. Can't recall a single moment seeing him in his lizard form holding one. But something I just noticed with this 5-stringer, it's got 6 tuning keys lol. I'm just gonna go with the idea he broke one of the strings.

Without looking it up, I'm tryin' to remember what the devil horn and thumb sticking out hand gesture means. Since it's not the same with the finger horns and thumb tucked in gesture. Really wish the guitar came with a strap. I definitely remember the panels of the comic having a strap on their guitar. I definitely don't want to remove a strap from one of my Crow figures, so trying to figure out the best route to add one. *Ha, yet again you bring up the same point as something I typed out before hearing you mention it. I might try out the Palisades Fozzie mic stand. Sure that would work.

As a long haired metal/alternative/into horror type weirdo, it's nice to have a cool metal head character with long hair. Takes me back to the days when I used to dye my hair black. I was inspired by Taker, but not all of us glow-in-the-daylight skinned white dudes can pull off the dark hair lol.

I'm always on top of it when it comes to all the features of upcoming figures, but apparently had no clue the mouth isn't articulated on this one. Figured it was a given, but nope lol. All the more reason for it to have been cool to get them a second (more stern/serious) head sculpt. I mean it's fine we're stuck with the super stoned look. I'm sure sooner than later NECA will announce an Archie accessory pack. It'd be nice to get an alternate head with that, but doubt it.

I really like them as their own thing, from an aesthetic perspective they're perfect. They remind me of that car commercial from a few years back with the little stop motion original figures if you remember that, they're so visually pleasing. But if I really look at them hard enough, when I look at Donnie all I see is Leo's head and when I look at Leo all I see is Donnie's head. That choice just baffles me. The texture really adds a lot of detail and depth to the figures from the shelf it really adds to their "remastered" aura, its been surreal having in scale remakes of these figures with extra articulation and seeing this iteration of the turtles in pretty much any pose you can imagine. It's a childhood fantasy come true.

This is by far my favorite batman batmobile. I own the missle one , found this one yesterday without the canopy , front part, or fins for $5. It's basically bare bones. Now, on a mission to complete it .

Hi. Great review thank you. I realise this might be a weird question, but I have no eyesight, I'm totally blind. I got this figure so I could understand what shao kahn is like in the games. I'm having some trouble with the throne. Do the chains at the top just slide through? they're not connected to anything, they just sit in the rings? When Khan sits on the throne, am I right in thinking the bottom of his foot doesn't really rest on the base? he can't have his knees at 90 degrees right? or his rear floats off the seat. So I have him legs sort of straight out with feet at an angle to the base is that right? Thanks.

Face sculpt is funky, but I'm in favor of an always-masked Casey Jones, so I wouldn't be using it anyway!

Nice review but you never did state which Batmobile he could fit in the 124 scale or the 118 scale Batmobile another thing is his cape is not very good as far as the rubber seamless body that looks all right but how do you keep that rubber from breaking what do you put on it to Preserve the rubber material.. and lastly I wish they could have made him 7 inches tall. instead of 6 inches tall...
