Concord, Both are probably good during the winter months just gotta find the schools of fish.

the areas i usually fish has very little current so i don’t have a problem. For you, i would just recast every 15-20 minutes so you can refresh your area with bait.

most situations yes, they are just more hardy and last longer

Depends on the sized bait your using. for the creek chubs you want a bigger hook 3-5 O for the shiners you can go smaller.
